A compass can tell you which way it wants you to go;
but do we have to choose that path?1


Life is like a journey
walking backwards,
running into fears and childhood dreams.2


We jump into the deep end
fully clothed
because we're scared of ourselves.3


We don't regret,
we think of how we can make it better,
and we're forgiven.

    Whoa. I love writing poetry that doesn't make sense to me and seeing what everyone else thinks...

    So, I interpret it as an explanation of LIFE and the people in it. This part:

    "Life is like a journey
    walking backwards"

    I read it and thought about how unpredictable life is. You never see what's going to happen next. Like "walking backwards." Love it!!! And this:

    "We jump into the deep end
    fully clothed
    because we're scared of ourselves."

    To me, it sounds like you're saying that humans have insecurities and imperfections we don't like to admit. We'd rather hide them: "fully clothed."

    Great work!!! You're very talented, from what I've read. Keep writing!
