The first time we really talked was when you asked if I had a quarter. I replied that I wasn't wearing my money jeans, and when your cousin gave me a Hawaiian state quarter, you found out I collected coins. 3

Why oh why couldn't it have been you who gave me the quarter.4

And when you smile, I swear I could get lost just by looking at you. Have you ever felt that way? How when something makes an impact on you, you forget to breathe, and you find you don't need air. You just need the moment to hold for a while longer. When you plopped your binder down and sat behind me; that was the closest we were ever going to get. My heart was skipping beats like how you play the violin. 5

How do we understand each other so well; could we have sipped tea together in a past life? I don't think you believe in those kinds of things, however open-minded you are. You were never hesitant to make your friends laugh. I would have liked to think that every word you said was for me. Me only. But no. And thinking like that would have destroyed us both.11
