Ship of Dreams

Sally turns off the light and slips into bed. She wonders if tonight she'll have that dream again about the ship in the sky. She begins dozing off as a whooshing enters her ears. 1

Sally appears in a spaceship. She is surrounded by others who are receiving instructions from a guide. The instructions are on how to run the controls of the main station of the ship. "There you are Sally, here." Someone hands Sally a sheet of paper with guidelines on it. 2

"Now promise me you'll read this." The guide tells her.3

"I promise," Sally says but later she regrets it for suddenly she becomes distracted. Up ahead there is a giant glass window where they can view where the spaceship is going.4

Sally marvels at the magnificent view that the window gives. She walks up to the glass and is closer than anyone, suddenly a beautiful giant blue whale bumps into the glass, the tour guide comments 5

"Oh that's just some occasional debris we get now and then" The whale is beautiful, and is swimming through space. 6

When no one is looking Sally decides to head off through one of the doors and explore more of the ship.7

She follows down never ending hallway, which at one point she sees her family but they're in line for something.8

Even though there is nobody else in line and they're not actually going anywhere, they continue waiting. 9

Sally tries to tell her father that there is no line, but he is convinced that he has to wait in line therefore convincing her family that they have to wait.10

Sally continues through this strange hallway which is changing forms as she walks ahead until she comes to a door and enters into a large library. 11

She enters into what is the most beautiful library she has ever seen, with white floors and white walls and 12

white marble everywhere. There are millions and millions of books, but Sally is caught off guard again when she sees what is a beautiful marble mantelpiece. She goes towards the mantelpiece.13

A beautiful fairy appears with curly brown hair and a beautiful dress-- so beautiful and she makes a twinkling noise.14

Suddenly her bare feet are enmeshed in leaves, and a sort of wreath of roots and leaves forms directly 15

in front the fairy. She tells Sally to look, and Sally looks into the wreath and can see in it.16

Then she directs Sally 17

to "Jump!" in through the porthole. She looks down into it and then she jumps in. 18

She is there for only three seconds, which seem to go on for a millennium. As Sally goes through time slows down almost to a complete stop. She is falling down through Alice's rabbit hole, she sees giant rocks and formations and she guesses they're ancient ruin. These rocks are floating in a beautiful heavenly space where there is grass and moss. There are different planes which she passes through.19

It's bright when she first lands on a floating island, all around is sort of a grey starry mist. When she passed through the tunnel it was as if a glimpse of more than ten minutes.20

There are beautiful large whales and floating stones... She stays here on the island for awhile before jumping21

off and continuing through the hole until she lands face down in a pyramid where everything begins spinning and laughter fills her ears. Then she wakes up.22

Author notes

Story of an actual dream I've had only replacing me with Sally. It was a very elaborate dream.
