under the afternoon sun:part two

as I thought to myself about the past, mickey came up with a dare. 1

"i dare you to kiss payton" she said2

my face turned white. what did she just say???? I don't know if I can do this...3

"dont worry. it doesn't mean anything its just a dare." sierra said asurringly. 4

I looked over at payton. she seemed just as nervous as me. 5

I scooted over closer to her. her face became red with embarressment. I placed my hands firmly on the ground and slowly leaned foward. she leaned a little too and our lips met. a tingle rushed up my spine. as soon as it begun though, it ended. 6

she pulled away and blushed again.7

I turned away so she wouldn't see my equally red face. 8

after that it was my turn to dare someone. we continued the game for another 30 minutes before everyone had gone home but payton, robert and I. suddenly robert got a text from his older sister that said he had to leave. now it was just payton and I. an akward silence passed through the air. I looked over at her and said "why the silent treatment?"9

"i don't know.." she replied quietly.10

"listen, if this is about the whole kiss thing, I'm sorry it was just a dare. I didn't mean to...you know." I lied. stupid stupid stupid!! I thought to myself.11

"no its ok!" she said quickly. "its just...i have to tell you something..." I waited in anticipation for her secret.12

"i...i enjoyed it...i mean..i liked kissing you."13

I stayed silent. I was in shoke. could my crush really be saying she liked kissing me?14

"uh...thank you?" I replied clumsily.15

"im sorry...i just thought I should tell you."16

somehow I had gotten closer and closer to her during our converstaion. I scooted so that we were inches away and put my hand on her cheek. she blushed and looked into my eyes. suddenly we both leaned in slowly at the same time. our lips met in a sweet embrace. her mouth felt warm against mine. her tounge ventured into mine. our kissed became more heated than I ever thought possible. even in my dreams. I placed my hand on the back of her neck and pulled her close. 17
