Flowers in the garden

There are lots of flowers growing in our side garden. They are all different colours and all shapes and sizes. Mama say people are like flowers. Everyone is different but you have to look after them. If you don't look after them then that is bold. Mama showed me how to care for the flowers. 1

In the summer it is hot. The flowers need to drink but they can't have fizzy cola or cheery pop. They have to have water from the tap. Sometimes I help Mama to give the plants their drinks. I have a watering can and we put the water in that and then sprinkle in on the flowers. But you don't put too much water on because you don't want the little flowers to drown.2

In the winter it is very cold. A lot of the flowers go to sleep but we still have to care for them even if they don't look as pretty as they do when it is summer. Mama says it is important to protect the flowers so if George (one of our big dogs) goes near them then I have to yell at him and tell him it is bold. Dogs are smart but sometimes George forgets what things are bold.3

There are lots of flowers growing in our side garden but I like all of them. They are all nice. I don't hate any of them even if the yellow flowers make Jamie sneeze. I don't think the flowers are bold on purpose. It is good because now it is summer and all of the flowers are so pretty but even when it is winter I will still love them as long as George doesn't dig them up. 4

This is an amazing write. I am deeply impressed at your work for only being six years old. I'm told that age is only a number, but I usually have a hard time believing that. You've made me a believer though, with your writing. I have a feeling that you're going to be the person people are going to be studying in high school english class one day.

    Hey Baby Annie,
I am so happy to be back in AP. And what a beautiful write to read. Yes, George sometimes forgets so you have to keep reminding him not to hurt the flowers. This is very pretty Annie.
love you lots like jelly tots! Mommy Eris

"The flowers need to drink but they can't have fizzy cola or cheery pop." That is so cute and true.
When me and my friend Dylan were younger he poured some of his pepsi on his uncle's plant because he said it looked thirsty but his uncle was mad when he found out. but only for a little while he never poured pepsi on the plant again.
George sounds like a fun dog even if he forgets what is bold!lol
