As the days went on, and Clarissa stuck with her preppy look, more and more guys seemed to become interested in her. She went through various guys, while Brandi and Chelsea stayed for a while with their youth group boyfriends, Jesse and Devin.1
Clarissa began to get frustrated, because everything seemed to fail after only a week. The first two guys she dated were named Garin-who she broke up with because he kept trying to force her to make-out, and Wade-who was a quiet, poser-skater.2
As time went on, Clarissa began to not only slip out of the total preppy look she'd been wearing, turning more to a mildly prepish but mainly punk look, but Chelsea began to follow suit. Both girls got highly into skate-boarding, and Chelsea seemed to start to show an interest in Clarissa's black nail polish and dark eyeliner.3
Finally, Chelsea (now single) and her went to the skate park after being invited by Becca's ex-boyfriend, Alex. Chelsea called Wade, who Clarissa was still with, to try to fix Clarissa's skateboard which had utterly whacked up wheels. Meanwhile, Clarissa stood, looking over the rails onto the skate ramps and bowl, watching Alex skate. Wade caught her staring at the red-haired skater, and began to grow distant from her. Watching Alex, she forgot about Wade, and yanked away when he put his arm around her.4
"What are you doing?!" she yelped, and jumped away.5
"What?" he asked, confused at her response to his attempt to gain her attention.6
"Sorry. My sunburn hurts." She muttered. Noticing Alex was skating off, she ran after him, nearly tripping on her long black pants.7
"Alex! Where are you going?"8
"Nowhere," he shrugged, "I'll be back. I just have to fix this."9
He held up an extremely scraped and swollen arm, and seeing Clarissa's wide-eyes, explained it was probably nothing, just a minor swelling. She nodded, and watched him skate off.10
He came back later, but she and Chelsea decided to leave soon after, because Wade was beginning to get on her nerves.11
That night Clarissa went home, and hung all her black clothes up in her closet, and noticed that the main colors in her clothes were now black and red, with a bit of hot pink. She shrugged, hopped on her bed, turned on some Bauhaus, and beginning repainting her black nails. 12
Deep inside she knew she felt more comfortable between being prep and goth, and decided to go for a more edgy but dark look. She smiled to herself, and fell asleep, not knowing what was to come.13

I'm slightly losing interest. You don't go into depth with your stories. Remember how our Language Arts teacher would say " don't use the sentence 'the dog ran', use '(adver
, the (adjective) (adjective) dog (better word for ran)'" You just seem to be getting easy and blunt with your sentences, and describing this amazing transformation that in real life took a while. Go into depth, describe everything. And PLEASE, make a twist or something that makes me want to read it.
