Someone Faraway (author): Umm... well, I'll answer the first question first. I wanted to write a murder mystery because I love reading and watching them... probably from NCIS and Law and Order. And I chose a beach randomly. Next question, please.
2Detective Wallace: What are some of your goals for your writing life?3
Someone Faraway: I want to go to a nice writing college and graduate. In my life I would like to publish one best selling book and maybe some autobiographies. 4
Detective Wallace: Here's a biggie. Umm... what do you think in your opinion is the best cure to writer's block? Is there any advice to give young writers?5
Someone Faraway: You know what, yes! I think the best cure to writer's block is reading lots of books and giving your mind a rest. Probably the best piece of advice I have is write a lot, and I can almost promise you you'll get better.
Believe me, I started writing since I've been in first grade, and I've improved greatly.
6Detective Wallace: One more thing, umm... by the way. Do you tell your friends that you write? How about teachers?7
Someone Faraway: My plan is to not tell anybody but my closest friends
and for everybody else, no. Teachers I don't like to tell because I've told them in the past, and they've bugged the hell outta me; I was a teacher's pet.8
