It was a dark and drizzly night where my family and I were at. In an airport going to the United States to visit family there that we haven’t seen since Casey was born. Just sitting there in those uncomfortable plastic chairs waiting for our fight was a pain!1
“Sky, honey, you look like you need to walk around.” Mother commented on the fact that I was sitting on the ground. “Here’s some money for food or what ever you want to do on the plane. It’s a long flight you know.”2
“I know mum, thanks.” Taking the money from her thinking that I would just get something to drink, eating before a flight makes me nervous that I’ll get airsick. Walking into the nearest store I grabbed water, and a magazine of Rising Stars checking out I noticed at least most of the girls were checking me out. That’s one of my pet peeves, I hate that they do that. I mean I’m just plain. 3
Black hair, blue and green eyes, left eye is blue right green, and standing at five foot four inches. See I’m just plain. 4
Well when I got back my sister woke up from her little nap and noticed that I was standing there with a magazine in one hand and water in the other.5
“Why does he get to go buy stuff?” my sister questioned mother when she saw the water and magazine in my hands.6
“Because, he looked like he needed to walk around and you know how long the flight is.” Mom said to Casey defending me.7
“Attention passengers! Flight 113 non-stop to New York City, New York will now start pre-boarding with handicapped people and families with children six and under.”8
“That’s us.” Mom said picking up Cameron in her arms and started to walk towards gate B-13.9
“It’s a good thing that the whole family is coming with the exception of father.” Sarah stated. Yeah, all seven of us. There’s mom, me, Casey, Sarah, Cassie, Sammie, and Cameron. Well, we arrived at the gate and boarded on to the plane taking our seats. My sisters and brother sat with my mom while I sat in the row behind them, in the middle.10
“How’s the middle?” Casey sneered at me knowing that I have a fear of being in between two strangers.11
“So far it’s good.” Just as I said that a guy can up to my row looking for his seat. He looked to his left first then to his right.12
“Excuse me, but I have that window seat next to you.” He said his voice smooth as butter.13
