The skeleton battle

Abigail was walking down the street going to town to run an errand for her mother. Her long auburn hair flowing in the breeze. She then dropped her list. She knew she couldn't lose that list at all. The breeze kept picking up and blew the list into a cave. She ran after it. 1

When she got into the cave it was wet and muddy, humid, and tons of bats came pouring out. She screamed and ducked automatically. She found a bone on the floor. This made her very suspicious of the cave. She became very wary but she had to get that list. 2

She struggled to see in the darkness but she could see the bright white list against the total black. She reached down to get it. As she was about to turn around though another white was penetrating the darkness. Something told her to run but she was to fascinated by it to turn and run.3

She walked towards the whiteness. Abigail shoved the list into her back pocket. All of a sudden the white moved. This startled her and she froze. The whiteness moved slowly toward her ominously.4

It opened its jaw and said, "Abigail come here." This froze her even more. She now knew she was looking at a skeleton. She looked up and down its bony body. She opened her mouth to let out a scream but nothing came out at all.5

It pulled her closer some how and knocked her down. She knew right then that she was going to be the next victim. Dead bodies lined the cave walls all of them beaten and badly bruised. She could hardly believe her eyes. She caught a hold of herself and looked around. She was about to run for it when it caught her again and pulled her down yet again.6

She scrabbled helplessly around looking for something. Her hand was going around in a half circle each time going a bit further. She finally caught a bone in her hand and turned. The skeleton was already looming over her its eye sockets yellow. It brought its own arm down onto her legs. 7

This hurt horribly but she knew she couldn't let it bother her. She struggled to get up, dodging blows and knocking them away when she could. She finally managed to get up on her feet though. She flung the bone around aimlessly in the air hoping to strike it. A bone breaking was sounded and she knew she hit the old skeleton.8

It went down screaming in agony. She ran past it but it wasn't prepared to give up yet. It threw its whole arm at her. It knocked her down and she screamed in pain. "No! I will not become your next victim," she screamed at it. She stood up and threw her bone weapon at it. It hit its head and the whole skeleton went to the floor.9

She limped out of the cave as fast as she could not once turning to see if it followed her. She limped all the way back to her house. Her mother asked her what had happened and Abigail explained it all. Later on the cave was blocked of by a boulder so it would never happen again.

Author notes

I wrote this story when I was in elementary school but not exactly this but similar to it not as many details. I am not a very good writer so that is why it may be bad.
