I suppose you'd call me an agnostic, because I don't worship any gods
and yet I feel there's something out there
something powerful
and benevolent
and smiling
and even through the horrible things the world goes through
I'm hoping for the best
I believe that everything will be alright, somehow.1
As an agnostic
I acknowledge humans are not the only sentient beings out there
but what else there is, I don't know
Whether the greater forces are aliens or no, I don't care
To be honest, I believe in possibility
and so I'll admit that the gods or "G"od is a possibility too
and I'm inclined to believe in the possibility of ghosts
Which means I'm admitting I believe in the the possibility of an afterlife
Even though it terrifies me...
Mostly I believe in love
and compassion
and having faith in people.
I believe that people are essentially GOOD, and we have within us the ability to perform miracles...2
There's nothing I disagree with
because my religion is a personal philosophy
and luckily, it's quite malleable and subject to change
to suit my needs, as I NEED it to
Not because I want it to
but because time, and change, and shown me where I've erred
and my broken heart has found a new aspect
to help me, and my beliefs grow.3
Mine's is a philosophy
an approach
built on the experiences of my lifetime
the people I've met
the hurt I've suffered
my unwillingness to worship
but my constant gratitude, for all that I have.
It is completely unique
I do not belong to a church
or a mosque
or a synagogue
but I do belong to the human race
and in my beliefs, I feel connected to each and every person
and I love and value them for the person they are
not the races they come from
or the countries they're born in
or the money they have
or their intelligence
or skills
or power
I value them simply as another human being
Someone I can identify with on the most basic level
and someone with the same potential that each and every person has in them
The potential to be something wonderful
and something more than we are perceived as.
I believe in humanity, in this world of failing climates
and disintegrating ozones
and natural and man-made disasters
I believe in People, because...
more than any god or deity out there
WE are the ones who need most to be believed in.4
Thank you ^^

Well stated
It's nice to find someone with a somewhat similar outlook on religion. I say somewhat because as you stated it is a very personal thing and always changing. I enjoyed it tremendouly!!!
