Ways to Improve CB~for Contest

You know on a regular I find myself in the CB; chatting with fellow writers on various subjects.1

Most recently a problem has arised that more children are on StoryWrite. Now mature topics are taken off the shevles because it makes the kiddies upset and arguments start.2

And I am not upset at all. In fact I am pleased. This is a movement that should be broadened. We need to eliminate all conversations that cause awkwardness. Sex, religon, and politics are off the list, but we need to keep it going.3

What about my feeling about books? Personally I don't like arguing about the Twilight series with people. So we should ban it. 'No mentioning Twilight and its characters or author under penalty of death.' That way I don't have to deal with the idiot fan girls who've never read anything else in that genre.4

But wait that's not it. Have you ever looked into the CB and seen people arguing over who's more immature? We need to ban those topics too. That way everyone is happy. 5

Oh, ther are so many possiblilities for improving the SW experience. Let's see. There's also greeting styles. God, why do people have to go "CullenGrl: bounces onto her head" I mean who does that? Just an annoying kid with nothing better to do but be random. Randomness is a sin and should be dealt with accordingly. Have every mod send hate amil to the perpatraitor when they become annoy and random. You'll notice less stupid posts I guarantee.6

BUt even more noyying is when they complain about school, and home, and how their boyfriend(s) won't pay attention and Katie next door has a bigger bra size. I don't want to here that and I know you don't either. So what do we do? We freeze their accounts. Then they will learn their lesson. Imagine all the 16 and unders being on probation for being idiots. A nice and sensibe Cb, where we can have intelligebt conversations..........7

Lahiem! And even better. Let's make this solution permanent. Every person who says something stupid/immature/random will be perpetually banned! But we'll keep it a secret. then they'll all be gone in less than a week! Can you imagine how peaceful it will be? Yes! That's what we need. And they can never come back! All our problems will be solved. 8

You know we really must thank the little ones for bringing about this conclusion..........but they're not here any more. Oh, well!

Author notes

this is all bullshit...most of it. Ther are parts where I'm serious. BUt anyway this was for a contest and I had fun writing it. So enjoy your life and keep reading my stuff.

WE can improve the Chatterbox by removing all of the people who have no intelligence what-so-ever, and also the ones who just go in there to bitch at people...I think those are the best ways to improve it...get rid of assholes!! haha!!

  • I think the CB is good for talking about home, school and things. because maybe those people have nobody else to talk to so they come to the CB to express those feelings. and I dont tyhink theres a problem with being random, because maybe thats just peoples personality. but i DO agree witht eh whole twlight thing, its getting radiculess (sp? ) because likes people always complain about how much the book is stupid and junk but like they need to stop hating because the author worked rly hard on that book and they should get over how she decided she wanted vampires to "sparkle" in her book. lolz

Nyahahahahaha. A nice piece of satire, true, and yet funny. Only thing I saw that could be improved was by running a spell check over it. Other than that, bloody awesome. ^_________^

  • Nice. You actually make some very good points in this.

I'll have to disagree on a few, though. Me, being who I am, and what makes my comedic persona so funny, teh mature sexy man-thongs must continue to be topic-worthy! Dx
Also, not a lot of people stay civil about religion and the like, so I agree. But they -are- entertaining.

    YES! Down with Twilight!
I back your ideal 100%, but I agree with the moderators in that it cannot be banned. It's singling out a specific storyline, which makes it an opinion rather than a justified ruling. Even though it does start arguments, they usually quiet down once you say "No Twilight, please."

Wow, you're talking total communist shake-down on the CB. Nice. My one problem with that is that by doing so, there will only be, like, two people on the CB at any given time. xD
Ugh. I detest the children. You can't ask them to stop. They take every word personally and they yap-yap-yap until they're banned, but they pop up with a million new accounts.

Great rant, though! Thank you very much for entering the contest. ^^

Actually, I think you'd find, if t3h kiddies went bye bye from CB land, then more adults would hop on. I would.

*goes to bounce on some random kids head*

      • CB used to be fun when you were discussing something mature (like whether white Skittles taste best). Now its all roleplay fanatics and Twitards (excuse my french) who flip out if you say you don't know who Renesmee is. Excuse me for not drooling over sparkly veggie lamopires. -___-

Who IS Renesmee? I see that name around so much. Am I missing out on some important part of life?

Well, most of the topics mentioned are already banned by SW rules. The topics of sex, religion, and politics are not supposed to be in the CB. As far as Twilight and things like that, while I agree that I wish they could be taken out of the CB, the site rules haven't been changed. I did start a topic on the forums about that very thing and it just won't be done. It's just a topic people disagree on, but it's a book so they can talk about it. Pull a me, when there's a topic at hand you don't like, take your own conversation to IM's or a group chat.
Other than that, I like the way you put your mind into this. You voice your opinion well.
