I think that the Mexican government, in a desperate attempt to eradicate the drug cartels, genetically engineered a mutated version of the flu and let it lose becuase the cartels are too deeply imbedded in the Mexican society and can't possibly win. 1

I'm secretyl a sleeper cell who was activated months ago and called back to Mexico, in which I met with the head of the a drug cartel and smuggled in some infected drugs in my buttocks. The tore on insertion and the resulting mutation was the Swine Flu, which I inevitably brought within our borders. That's when the aliens come in to suggestively test me, which infects them, and then they crash land in another country - and so the worldwide spread begins~

Hah, I wouldn't be surprised if it was true. The swine flu actually started spreading two months ago--it's only getting publicity now, most likely for TV ratings.

My theory-the Mexican government has a cure, but they're not willing to share it until the whole world has submitted to their slavery and they are supremos. The reason they haven't revealed this yet is because they want to see how much of the world gets infected.
