the end of a life story

the news came quickly1

rather hard2

i read the message and cried3

it was very hard4

he was gone5

watching over me6

like he promised7

but i never got to say goodbye8

we hardly talked at the end9

he didnt want to hurt me10

we broke up11

he had a real life girlfriend12

he lied13

to protect me from the pain of leaving14

but it was painful15

he was gone16

he cant make me happy, or brighten my days anymore17

i picked a dandellion, one that you blow the seeds off as you make a wish18

i wished he would protect me and be happy in heaven19

i blew, and the seeds came off, every one of them20

i layed in the grass and looked up at the clear blue sky21

the sun was hot on my face22

i whispered23

"a beautiful sky holds a beautiful person24

say hi to my grandparents for me25

i'll be up there with you someday26

watch over me"27

i prayed28

i felt safe he was up there29

a new guardian angel30

with a new life 31

painless32
