Prologue1

“The prophecy tells us that seven different being will come together to find the great oracle that would remedy our kingdom to surpass its great misfortune,” A villager of Beauxworth told some little faun about the prophecy that was written by the ruler of Drakar a long time ago. “Where are those chosen creatures then?” one little faun asked, as the villager paused for a minute. “It is said to be that all of those creature are going to meet in the centre of Drakar, the forest of Actaeon, No one knows how and when will they meet, the only thing that will let them know is when the dragon of serendipity will show before them when they are all gathered together. The villager continued as she answered the little fauns’ question. “So it can be me!”The other faun assumed that made the story teller smile. “That could be possible dear, no one knows what will happen, no one knows.”2

Drakar is a kingdom where all kinds of different individual creatures subsist. They are separated from the human world for the reason that their physical aspects and abilities are rather different. The kingdom of Drakar is sealed to forbid the creature as well as the humans to go and interact with each other. The kingdom is divided into four villages, positioned in the north, Beauxworth village, where fauns, elves, leprechauns and other forest creature lives. While at the East side of the kingdom, the village of Laxwood is located. The vampires and werewolves live together with nothing to hold up against with. Then the on the southern direction is the Clemence village the only place where wizards and witches resides. On the western course the coldest place in Drakar, the Chionels where nymphs of snow bearer inhabit. Also, to keep the balance of the kingdom, on the Southeast section of the map is the dwelling place of the demons, under the Volcan of Hades. Finally the last place of the kingdom, the forest of Actaeon located in the centre of Drakar. Where all creatures of different races lives, without following the rules. Inside the forest is the biggest tree where another small but a powerful kingdom is to be found, the kingdom of Cloveria where faeries lives harmoniously. Composed by these different, inimitable places the 7 diverted creatures will come together and face their life that was destined to fight for as long as what it takes to take back the life they once lived. 3

Chapter 1
“They have arrived”4

The moon was at its full size, and the entire kingdom of Drakar is illuminated by the moon’s brightness. All creatures are fast asleep and silence covers the whole kingdom. It was just another peaceful night for the citizens of Drakar but not to the seven chosen creature. Without any idea, that seven different creatures had woken up in the middle of their sleep by a light moving in front of them. Butterflies, seven identical butterflies appeared and woke each one of them up. Lured them, took their consciousness as they follow the butterflies to wherever it goes and left all their lives behind without knowing it. From seven different places, they are brought to the centre of the kingdom the forest of Actaeon.5

“WAKE UP!!” a loud voice shocked them off their unconscious minds that at that point is standing in a circle form. Their eye are wandering and looking at their acquaintances’ faces. They all put an effort to ready their selves to fight and fight back but the dragon of serendipity who’s standing in the centre of the circle made them immobilize. 6

“STAND STILL AND LISTEN, ALL OF YOU” the dragon spoke up to them. 7

“Who are you?” one of the creatures, a tall man with black short hair and long ears asked.8

“I’ am the dragon of serendipity, and you are the seven chosen creatures who are bound to locate the oracle as the prophecy says.” The great dragon answered with his voice calmer than before.9

“So you mean the prophecy is real and we are those chosen creatures?” a girl with wings asked looking confused.10

“I believe that’s what the old dragon is talking about. “Another girl said with her voice that can seduce anyone.11

“I’m sorry to disappoint you dear but your abilities won’t work against me.” The dragon said sensing the girl who spoke is using her ability attempted to control the dragon.12

“Then could you just please release us from this...this...thing” another girl voice complained. 13

“I’ll free you but not one of you should attempt on escaping or use your abilities against each other. Let me warn you, you are chosen by the ruler, you have no choice but to serve the kingdom.”14

The dragon of serendipity explained as they all fell silent absorbing all the words the dragon said.15

“What will happen to any of us if we escape?” a tall guy with a serious face said.16

“I’ll take away your ability and your own memories. This mission is a secret to the others. You’ll be doomed forever.” The dragon answered at once.17

“Now I’ll let you release you and give you what you needed.” The dragon said then he held his hands up high and his eyes glow as the white light vanished. Their clothes are more descent and comfortable than their sleeping clothes.18

“Behemoth of Beauxworth, Lliena of Laxwood, Zynth of Cloveria, Ashby of Chionels, Harriette of Hades, Shadow-wing of Acleons and Zephyr of Clemence. Drakar is in your hands.” Said the dragon then disappeared in thin air.19

Not one of them attempted to talk they just stood there and tried to absorb all the things they’ve just witnessed. “ummmmm... I’m Zynth, from the kingdom of Cloveria.” The fairy said. They just looked at her in a minute or so, Zynth, with pale white skin, long small ears, eyes like emeralds and wings with different colours in it waited for someone to talk.20

“It would be easy for us if we start with an introduction. We may feel awkward but that’s the only thing we could do right now. I’m Harriette from Hades and I’m a demon” A girl with curly black hair, dark eyes and strong face said.21

“I think the demon is right, we should introduce ourselves” a guy agreed to Harriette and stepped forward and said “Zephyr, a wizard from Clemence”22

“I didn’t know wizards and demons are in such good terms. Lliena Lecroix of Laxwood” said another girl wearing long black dress, a sensual face and long black straight hair, and red eyes. Zephyr shrugged as he saw the vampire smile.23

“I’m Behemoth of Beauxworth, if you need anything, something, or any kind of things just tell me and I’ll definitely get that for you.” The elf said walked into the middle of their circle. 24

“I’m Ashby from Chionels. Nice to meet you all.” A girl with white skin, black straight hair, blue eyes, cold skin said, cloud of snow raining snow above her.25

“Excuse me sir, can you tell us your name please?” Zynth said as she saw their other acquaintance standing its back on the tree.26

“Shadow_wing, I’m a ninja.” Everyone looked at her then looked away.27

“So I guess we all know who’s who, what’s next? Behemoth asked as he looked at all of them sensing that not one of them knows what’s gonna happen next. Not one of them spoke another word again; they decided to sleep for the rest of the night. Resting and sleeping, hoping all of it was q dream, just a bad dream.28

Sun’s shining in all their faces that woke them up finding their selves lying in the ground. “Hey look it’s a map” Harriette said as she saw the map of Drakar appear in the in front of her. Zephyr took the map and looked at it. Examining the trails they are going. 29

“We are going to the kingdom of Philippus” he said then stared at them.30

Kingdom of Philippus is in the east of where Drakar is. Extraordinary creatures live there too but law was never a requirement for that kingdom. Drakar cut all their connections with the Philippus when that kingdom started to become unorganized. Lots of crimes happened. The creatures use their ability to destroy and do horrible things.31

Later that day, “Does anyone know where that fairy-girl went? She didn’t eat her food” Behemoth asked but no one answered him.32

Zynth the girl from Cloveria, is in the forest, flying around looking for something that she could depend her life on. Sprites should find something that they want to serve as their lifespan. “I should get back now, I’ve been away for too long.” She said to herself then flew back to the others. 33

“Oh hey! Where have you been?” Behemoth asked as Zynth sat down beside Zephyr.34

“Just around looking for something” Zynth replied with a smile. “Sorry I made you worry” she added.35

“Oh that’s okay. It seems that everyone here knows your okay” Behemoth replied “By the way, what are you looking for? Maybe I could help.” Behemoth asked.36

“Ummm... something where I could keep an important thing.” She said.37

Behemoth was getting curious about the important thing Zynth is talking about. “Is it okay to ask regarding the important thing you’re referring to?” he asked without hesitation.38

“My life” Zynth answered that made everyone looks at her with surprise.39

“What do you mean your life?” Harriette asked.40

“My Life, we sprites after we are born we’re bound to find something, an object, a creature, anything and put this to our chosen entity¬¬¬----“ she said as she showed them a ball of light that came from her chest. “This is my life. That object’s lifespan is also my lifespan. If that object was destroyed I die.” She explained further. “So now, I only have a day left to look for my object and if I won’t be able to find any I would die.” She said.41

“Weird” Shadow said while others didn’t say a thing. 42

“Hey look out!” Ashby shouted as ice came out of her palms and froze the raven approaching them that caused Zynth to jump and her ball of light and fell to Zephyr’s hands and entered it to his chest.43

“Oh no!” Zynth shouted. ‘It entered you.” She added wide eyed looking at Zephyr.44

“The raven was attracted to that light and attempted to attack you and get it.” Ashby explained.45

“So what happens now?” Zephyr asked his both hands on his chest.46

“My life depends on you. If you die, I die.” Zynth answered. 47

“You won’t live long” Lliena said sarcastically.48

The creatures agreed to leave for Philippus tomorrow so they could have a lot of rest before doing their mission. Darkness once again covered the silent forest. Harriette is busy doing making a fire to serve as their light through the night. Everyone is doing something to kill the time.49

“Do you really think the prophecy is true?” Behemoth asked as he sat next to the fire Harriette made. 50

“I don’t know, I mean we’re her all seven of us, just like what the prophecy told.” Harriette answered. 51

“But what if that dragon was a bogus?” behemoth asked once again.52

“Then if that dragon cheated on us, we’ll hunt him down and kill him.” Harriette said.53

“Your demon blood is really running through every inch of you” Zephyr said. Harriette looked at him then he added “Don’t worry that dragon is the real thing.” He added assuring them.54

“So for no-one-knows-how-long we’re going to look for the oracle, all seven of us. And I don’t know a thing about all of you” Behemoth reminded himself.55

“And I’m planning to keep it that way” Shadow retorted.56

“I wouldn’t know who to trust and who’s real” Behemoth said 57

“You know what, Behemoth is right, we should somehow tell each other something about ourselves besides our name.” Zynth said trying to convince them but they all just looked at her with blank faces except Behemoth who is the only one agreeing to the plan Zynth came up. However the two of them can’t let their other comrades feel the same as they do. So the best thing they did was to be quiet and leave things the way they are. 58

No one’s talking to anyone after they ate their supper. As usual they all do what they want alone. A green light suddenly appeared and the dragon of Serendipity it brings. They all stood up to acknowledge the dragon.59

“We are just taking a rest before going tomorrow” Behemoth said attentively and all of them stared at him.60

“How much time do we have to find the oracle?” Shadow asked as she jumps down from the tree.61

“You have to find the oracle as soon as possible before someone else does and before someone else does.” The dragon answered.62

“Someone else’s does? Is there someone searching for the oracle other than us?” Zephyr said.63

“Creatures from our rival kingdom wanted the oracle as well. They wanted the oracle because they want our kingdom to be destroyed.” The seven creatures felt awed about what they heard from the dragon but no one dared to speak.64

“They are from the kingdom of Thallos. I assume you know the kingdom.” The dragon spoke up.65

“We have the knowledge it, but how did Thallos and Drakar became rivals?” Harriette asked66

“It was a long time ago when all creatures live in just one kingdom, and that is called Astrodiac. Drakar, Philippus and Thallos existed as the sons of the high priest and priestess who ruled the kingdom. The oldest among them is Drakarius who is the smartest and most loving. Then the second one is Philippus, the timid one with a poor health and finally the youngest of them all, Thallos the one who is strong and quiet. All three of them didn’t get along well at any times; it was when their father the high priest died. After that the high priestess took over her deceased husbands’ place but Thallos never wanted a woman to rule the kingdom even if it was his own mother. Drakarius got angry with Thallos when he said he wanted their mother dead for a reason that they could rule the kingdom them self. After 5 years the high priest died and left Astrodiac to her sons, which they divided in three kingdoms that were named after them. The kingdom of Drakar, ruled by Drakarius then the kingdom of Philipus and the kingdom of Thallos.67

Drakarius then found out that it was Thallos’ doing that killed their mother by poisoning her drink. He was furious when he knew what his brother did, Drakarius decided to face Thallos and demand explanation from him, but then on his way to Thallos’ he received horrible news. Philippus is dead, those made him turn back and went to Philippus instead and as he reached their, there he saw his own brother lying on his bed covered with blood. Drakarius knows who did it, he didn’t continue his plan on talking to his brother, instead he went to the centre of Philippus and casted a spell that could keep the kingdom from Thallos’s evil plans. That’s why Thallos’ after the destruction of our kingdom.”68

“So why not kill Thallos?” Shadow asked all confused.69

“Drakarius’ weakness is his great heart; even if Thallos killed his own mother and brother he can’t kill him with his own hands. After all they’re brothers.” The dragon explained.70

“That is just stupid! Because of that our kingdom is in danger!” Lliena retorted.71

“Be reasonable! He’s just doing his duty being a brother.” Harriette reasoned out.72

“I really don’t get you, you’re a demon but you’re trying hard to be one of the good guys. Believe me it doesn’t help at all. You’re disgracing your clan. ” Lliena said.73

“Want me to remind you what am I?” Harriette said and set a fierce look at Lliena who is smiling wickedly at her. A ball or fire begun to form in Harriette’s palms bringing out flames in her eyes aiming to Lliena who is preparing to have a fight with the demon.74

“ENOUGH! I didn’t come here to see you fight! As I see you’re not at all ready for the mission the kingdom has set upon you. Let me remind you again, the kingdom needs you to collaborate with each other and save this place. So, let this be a test for you.” The dragon spoke and yellow light blinded the 7 wicked creatures. All seven of them were casted in a paradise where flowers bloom and trees grow. Butterflies flying around giving them the happiness they could never have. But the moment where they all touched the things in their dream, the place they thought was paradise was eaten by darkness in an instance. 75

“Don’t take up so much of your time.” The dragon said then disappeared.76

Chapter II
“The good ones and the bad ones”77

“Aaaaaaahhhh!!!!!” Zynth shouted as she saw her own body standing in front of her. Then she looked at her hands, her whole body touching them all over. But none of them belongs to her, it belongs to someone else. Same thing happened to the rest, all of them changed bodies. Zynth’s soul was inside Ashby’s, Ashby’s soul was in Shadow’s body while Shadow’s soul was in Zynth’s body. Lliena was turned frantic when she’s stocked in Behemoth’s body and Behemoth on the other hand was in Lliena’s body. Harriette who is still jolt was in Zephyr’s body and Zephyr’s soul was inside Harriette’s demon body. 78

“What in the world is happening here?” Lliena shouted looking at her body standing face to face with her. “Why am I stock in this body?” she blurted.79

“What is this thing growing in my back? They’re pathetic” Shadow complained.80

“umm... those are my wings, and those are not pathetic.” Zynth said squinting.81

“Why do I have to be in this demon body? I feel dirty.” Zephyr said in a low voice but still can be heard by the others. 82

Harriette didn’t give any reaction instead she sat in the stone behind her and fell silent.83

“I think this is the dragons’ doing” Ashby’s voice stopped them from being drawn away with their condition. Ashby took the black cloth that is covering Shadows face and exposed shadows face.84

“Don’t take that off!” Shadow shouted and tried to run towards Ashby but then she can’t because of Zynth’s wings. “Is there any way to cut these off?” Shadow said angrily.85

“Why would the dragon have to do this?” Zynth asked. “He wouldn’t want to slow us down in finding the oracle.” She added.86

“He did this because Lliena and Harriette are fighting.” Behemoth said.87

“And now you’re blaming it on me?” Lliena said angrily.88

“Maybe,” Behemoth talked back.89

“Could you stop fighting now? You’re in that condition and all you can do is to argue?” Ashby blurted.90

Shadow shrugged and said “All I want is to get out of this hideous body!”91

“Stand here inside the circle, all of you.” Zephyr said entering the circle he drew in the ground. 92

All of them did so, and then Zephyr started murmuring a spell they can’t understand. “Close your eyes” Zephyr said then started to cast another spell. But as they opened their eyes again, nothing changed. They’re still stock in each others bodies. “It didn’t work, I guess we have to wait till’ that dragon showed up again.” Zephyr sighed.93

“So we’re going to cancel our journey again?” Ashby asked.94

“No, we should go, Even though we’re in this situation.” The wizard answered.95

“I command you to unearth the oracle before Drakarius’ soldiers locate the oracle.” A big loud voice said through the darkness of the room in the castle where the king Thallos’ dwell. 96

“What will we do to the oracle next sire?” another voice spoke up from the darkness of the room.97

“Slay him!” the king’s voice echoed through the room.98

The kingdom of Thallos just like Philippus and Drakar various kinds of creatures dwells in here. Most of them are soldiers bound to serve the king with their own lives. The kingdom is full of powerful beings for the king impost only one law. That is beings that lack vigor are to be killed than to stay in the kingdom. That’s the reason why there are countless of killings and other crimes in the kingdom. The soldiers of the king were led by his only son, Phyne. Phyne is one of the most powerful being in the kingdom not only by his strength but by authority and influence. He’s half vampire half wizard. His father is a wizard and his mother is a vampire who left them when he was still a little.99

The king assemble a troop to get the oracle before the creatures of the rival kingdom does. Phyne was chosen to lead this special group also with the other creatures from the kingdom of Thallos, creatures with great power. The second in command is Lancaster, a shape shifter. Lancaster is Phyne’s closest friend then there’s Nastashia, a werewolf who’s in love with Phyne since they’re still small. Cornelius has an ability to control minds. Then there are the twins, Feliz and Felix, Felix has the power to control fire while Feliz controls ice. Finally the last one is Helix, a fallen angel. The right hand of king Thallos’s son. 100

All seven of them were called by the king to carry out a mission, and that is to get the oracle before the Drakarians do, and kill him.101

Morning came for the 7 creatures of Drakar but they’re still stock in their allies’ body. To start the journey is the thing they should do even though they are in that condition. They strode along the forest finding a way to get out. To avoid any disagreement no one talks to anyone that’s the rule they followed after the spell which Zephyr casted didn’t work out. Walking through the pine forest, following the map the dragon of serendipity gave them. Zephyr who is in Harriettes‘body was leading the way. Shadow that is Zynth’s body stopped as she heard something coming from the trees, Behemoth who is in Lliena’s body And Zynth stopped as well when they saw Shadow standing looking up and around the forest.102

“Is something wrong?” Behemoth asked sensing there is something bothering her.103

Shadow looked at him and Zynth and said “Something is moving up there” pointing her finger upward. Then the others heard her and stopped as well to listen.104

“It’s just birds or other flying creatures doing their business.” Ashby said.105

“I can sense it, something’s following us. I can smell its scent from before.” Zephyr closed his eyes, one of his abilities is his soul can get out of his body and wander around without ordinary creatures seeing it. Harriete’s body collapsed and Zephyr’s soul floated above of them. “In the north direction behind those leaves” Lliena said in a low voice giving Zephyr direction of the unknown creature. They’re all waiting for Zephyr to come back to Harriette’s body and give them information. After a while, Harriete’s body moved, Zephyr was back “I didn’t see anything.” He said catching his breath “but there is something chasing me. I don’t know what it is; I can only see its shadow.” He added106

“Can you still sense its smell?” Behemoth asked Shadow and Lliena.107

“It’s still here.” Lliena answered.108

“The only thing we are aware of is that it’s not a common creature we’re dealing here It can see my soul. Only those creatures with gray eyes can see my soul.” Zephyr explained left them looking at him listening intensively.109

“There are three kinds of gray eyed creatures; first are the Griflins, these creatures are half griffins and half ravens, the second one is the Clovelooms, who are half hobbit and half faeries then the last one are the Ceptulones, these creatures maybe half breed or pure bloods. They accepted the ability to see things beyond what the normal creatures could see. They sacrificed their own eyes their own memories to the Aklones.” He explained.110

“Aklones, is it that clan that was destroyed a long time ago?” Ashby said butted out Zephyr’s story.111

“Indeed, But a lot of them survived from the Velvequiose and they promise to take revenge to whenever they can” Zephyr said. 112

“But why is it following us? I mean it must know we’re not the ones who did that to them.” Behemoth spoke up.113

They looked up as the cold wind of the forest made them shiver and realize the uncertain things that might face them in their journey towards the unknown world.114

The 7 magical creatures continued their walk and tried to ignore the fact that an unknown creature is still watching them. But not with Lliena's temper she could just shrug it off like nothing is happening. "I can't take this anymore! just show yourself if your after us so that we could just shrug it off!" she shouted without hesitations. They waited a minute or so to any response, and suddenly there's a sound from behind the bushes and creature with a human form appeared in front of the 7 beings with closed eyes. They all all looked at him with there body preparing to fight.115

"Who are you? and what do you want from us?" Zephyr asked ready to take out his wand from Harriete's trench coat.116

The clueless creature just stood in front of the creatures and opened his mouth without any sound coming out. The creature opened his eyes and showed his gray blank eyes to the chosen creatures before him.117

"What is he trying to say?" Zynth asked motionless.118

"I think it's a name" Behemoth said answering Zynth's question.119

"Who's name?" Ashby's voice spoke up.120

"Vi--rhia" The creature mumbled out.121

"I think he's trying to say Viktoria" Harriette forenamed.122

"What is that he's holding?" Behemoth mentioned.123

"No, it's a locket. The same locket I have." Lliena said. "He's from our coterie, only our clan has that locket."124

"A vampire.Then he's an Aklones now?" Ashby asked.125

"Definitely, maybe you know this creature then?" Harriette asked beaming to Lliena126

"Impossible,I know every member of our clan. Maybe he got that from his vampire victim or something." Lliena retorted.127

"I can do something that could find out something about him." Zynth unsought."I'm gonna need his locket."she added.128

"How's that possible?his grip to that locket is very tight." Ashby remarked.129

"I think that's not gonna be any problem. Look at him," Shadow said with a calmer voice.130

The creature inadvertenly fell from where he was standing and that made the locket from his strong grip came out of his hand. Behemoth took it and handed it over to Zynth. It was then, Zynth held the locket with of her hands and closed her eyes. Blue bright light surrounded her and lift her from the ground. All the six remaining creatures watched her floating in the air.131

"Is that safe?"Shadow asked.132

"She's fine, she just needs a little time" Zephyr spoke.133

It was an unfamiliar place for Zynth,the new world she is in. The place looks like a garden full of beautiful flowers and trees with green shiny leaves and a gazebo in the middle of that extraordinary garden. A gazebo with fine design and great sculpture on its columns but the one that caught Zynth's eyes is the girl wearing a long green dress that matches her eyes standing, her hands in the banister looking around the whole facade. A goddess, Zynth thought staring at the beautiful lady with her golden hair
flowing in her bare shoulders. Aside from the beautiful place that Zynth noticed, there was something bizarre around that place like, dark, gray clouds covering outside of that castle, surrounding it.
Zynth's attentions was caught by a sound of the bushes from the corner of the walls of the castle.
"Krastos?" the exquisite beauty called out.
"Viktoria.."a manly voice answered then the lady ran off to the bushes.
"I missed you, what took you so long?"the lady named Viktoria asked touching the man's face.
"I apologize my love, but I bear good news," he said then kissed Viktoria. "i found a place for us to stay, a safe place for us." he said with great happiness.
"Are you sure there's a place like that, I don't want to be separated from you again." Viktoria said her eyes teary.
"it's all gonna be alright hon, don't worry too much. You know it's not good for you to worry. It's a village called Laxwood in the kingdom of Drakar, our both races live their civilized." Krastos said.
Viktoria didn't say anything instead she waited for Krastos to talk more about the place and their plan.
"By midnight tomorrow, I'll wait for you here in the gazebo. It's gonna be hard for you to leave but, you'll be the one to decide. If you're going with me or stay here, I won't blame you because I love you too much." Krastos spoke up making Viktoria's eyes hard to stop the tears that are flowing down.
"Now my love, I'll leave, your maids are coming. I'll be here tonight." Krastos said then left Viktoria with a kiss.134

Darkness amassed the whole facade, and there he was, standing behind the gazebo waiting for Viktoria to show up. Then there she was approaching him with big smile on her face.
"You came." Krastos said then held her hand and walked through the thick walls of the castle and out to the new world.
They traveled a long way just to get away from their kingdom and chose to live to its rival kingdom, Drakar.135

"Welcome to Laxwood" said by a cool voice greeting the couple by patriarch's right hand of the village.136

"Where can we find Vont Avsinthe Lecroix?" Krastos asked,137

"I am he, how can I be at your service?" the patriarch of the village appeared behind the great doors of the mansion.138

"I am Krastos and this is Viktoria. We came from a far place and we would like to ask for your acceptance to live here in your berth" Krastos said his voice full of anxiety.139

"Why did you decide to depart from your old place?" the patriarch of the village asked then sat sown to his throne.140

"We are not suited for each other in that place. Viktoria and I just wanted to have a quiet place to live and a society that could accept us and our differences." Krastos explained141

"Please sir, let us stay here. I don't want to be away from Krastos no more. I just can't take it" Viktoria added, begging the leader to take them.142

"This village is as you said quiet and the creatures here doesn't want any agitation. You see, Werewolves and Vampires lives here and these two clans agreed to stay out of distress. Our village existed for over thousands of centuries, I may not know the whole story about your past but I'll accept you as part of this acculturation and live the way you wanted." The patriarch spoke up. Krastos and Viktoria smiled and thanked the leader.
