Times change, people change, and not always for the better! People, in society, are becoming “mechanical,” more like a number of one’s letter. Yes it’s quite true, that words seem to lose their meaning in society as well. This fast-pace-rat-race is becoming man’s made hell! Even as the roses lose their fragrance; so, also there are those who get lost in “shallowness of a style,” with such fools who manipulate their farcical guile! 1
Smiling faces, to their ego’s advantage, claiming their self-sufficiency while inwardly “others they shame.” Where do all the broken people come from? Broken hearts, prison cells, hidden ones (behind their mask) who’ll “never reveal their hell.” People talking “just to be heard;” never listening to understand their guilt “absurd.” Lonely people in a crowd; broken homes, and broken hearts “crying” inside loud!2
With holes in the ozone, people’s pocket books too; there’s so many gaps-, even in relationships “void of honesty,” that the answers just don’t come through! Alas, the elusive dream is either money-, love-, power-, or fame; but few count the cost (or map a plan) to “steer right” to obtain… True-love is what most seek-to-find, rather than a good friend; though friendships “void of honesty” are doomed to fail, in the end.3
And Heaven help “the pure in heart-,” with deceit behind ones who frame! It’s “pass the buck/ or ammunition” for all those con-artists who maim. This world is calling for judgment; while even “Mother Nature” has gone off-course! Children are growing-up in a jungle, without nurturing parents, all because of “SELFISHNESS and DIVORCE!”4
Innocent lives become victimized, while “the system allows the guilty to go free…”5
This philosophy, of “every man for himself,” is destroying you and me!6
Ok, so talking about the problem doesn’t change a thing; but being a problem solver “would foreclose the blame-!” The institutions efforts to detect psychopathic narcissistic behaviour is all so vain; while the majority of their victims die or go insane.7
Is there not “homeless people in every state,” everywhere? While the greedy thrive on pride without despair! There are a thousand-to-one-crutches “sold in varied ways;” as emptiness pervades the day. Yet, not for believers who know how to pray! 8
If we did more listening, and asking the right things, searching the right places for true examples of things; then perhaps our egos wouldn’t be dangling “as some puppet” for a perpetrator’s fling! Why can’t we think, and plan ahead, and be prepared for “what could be…” The answer’s not blowing in the wind; it could be “right in front of you and me-.” So what’s this world coming to-? Only the Bible seems to know for sure! And if you don’t believe me, check-out “all the prophecies that are now true!” The fact that history repeats itself “just doesn’t bring a cure.” So, how can we ever know such answers “when questions aren’t sought and are blurred?”9

wow, you did a number to my head and heart! i like the line "where do all the broken people come from" it reminds me of the line in the song elanor rigby "all the lonely people where do they all come from" this made me think alot. i'm gonna read it again... xoxo

Well it would seem to me you've struck a thin line between poetry and short stories. I was impressed that you actually kept this coherent while using rhyme. As for the message, of course its something I can agree with. Were no longer in an age where people find sacrifice necessary and it's lead many astray. Well done, take care and God bless.

Within the New Testament clearly it relates what sort of mind food we need; "Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever thing are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Philippians 4:4-8
ALTHOUGH, in this world (unless you’re totally isolated), there doesn’t seem to be a way “of doing this entirely.” The more we draw nigh to God, then, “to that extent- He draws close to us;” and, of course, perfect love casts-out ALL fear… Thank you for “your relevant input,” Chris; it’s always good to know that our thoughts and ways of communicating “aren’t in vain… Take care.

We must be synchronized in a way; today I started a poem which is unfinished about the same subject... But this evening I thought while watching a movie about a psychic man, that the dark spirits that we are powerless against, fear us beyond measure! Our power is contained within the Light. And darkness powerful manifest of today is a kind of death struggle, a strong sign that the Light is impending. Irreversibly, unstoppably. This world may be destroyed utterly, leaving no stone on top of the other, but whereever Light appears, darkness disappears. The more steadfast our believe is the more the dark fears us. In spite of its seemingly overwhelming power. I thank you for creating and sharing this thought provoking write.
