Chapter 3 Decided By the Moon

1

Liana looked at the others, tears almost welling up in her eyes.2

“She might torture the poor thing!” she said, her voice a miserable tone.3

“I told you it was to early for this,” complained Adrian, getting up. 4

Salem looked up at him and burst out hysterical. Adrian looked down at Salem and smiled. Walking over to Liana, who was standing in the arch or the door, he put his arm on her shoulder and they started to walk towards the corridor. Liana’s face went red, and she refused to look up at him. 5

“Should we go too?” asked Jinxi, pushing her chair to get up. 6

“No, Adrian will get Chaos back, don’t worry,” smiled Salem. 7

Fang looked over towards the door, watching as Liana and Adrian walked out. 8

“So she stole Chaos?” asked Adrian, looking down at Liana. 9

“Yeah, I think so,” said Liana, still staring at the floor. 10

“You ok?” asked Adrian, stopping. He walked so he was facing Liana and bent down to look at her face, “You ok?” he repeated.11

Liana went to look up at him, only to have her face right in front of his. Liana stared at him, her face flushed red and she quickly nodded yes, looking down. Adrian laughed and continued to walk with her, his hand on her back. 12

“So how you want to get Chaos back?” asked Adrian. 13

Liana shrugged, still looking at the floor. Adrian guided Liana, to what she guessed to be Claudia’s room. Adrian stopped, and proceeded to knock on the door. No one came to answer. 14

“Open the door Claudia!” shouted Adrian. 15

There was a noise of footsteps, and then the doorknob jostled. The door opened, revealing Claudia, standing with a hissing Chaos in her hands. 16

“So, you’ve come for your cat back?” smirked Claudia, walking back into her room. 17

Adrian signaled for Liana to go, so Liana walked in, Adrian behind her. The two walked in and the door shut behind them. 18

“So, what are you to a couple now?” asked Claudia. 19

Adrian smiled at her. “And what if we are?” asked Adrian, pulling Liana closer to him by her waist. Liana’s face went red again, and she closed her eyes. 20

“Oh, so Fang is mine?” asked Claudia, slightly caught of guard. 21

“Of course, Liana is mine,” said Adrian, playing with Liana’s hair. 22

“Then take this retched thing!” smiled Claudia, quickly handing over Chaos. “Why thank you,” smiled Adrian taking Chaos, and walking out, his hand still on Liana’s waist. 23

“Here’s Chaos back!” said Adrian, as the door closed, and he was sure the girls were not listening in. He put his hand to Liana’s shoulder and Chaos hopped on. Adrian and Liana laughed.24

Liana looked up at Adrian and he smiled, Liana smiled back. 25

“Thanks,” said Liana. 26

“You did good by the way,” smiled Adrian, continuing to walk. 27

“What do you mean?” asked Liana. 28

“Well, you made it believable that you were my girlfriend,” smiled Adrian. “Wonder what I’d be like if you were my girlfriend?” asked Adrian, looking straight ahead as they walked. 29

Liana looked up at him. 30

“Wanna find out?” he asked.31

Liana’s eyes opened wide, and she quickly looked down in embarrassment. 32

“I’ve never had a boyfriend before,” she answered, looking up at him. 33

“Then it’s a first for both of us cause neither have I,” laughed Adrian. “So is that a yes, for a date um… tomorrow?” asked Adrian. 34

“Um… sure,” said Liana, smiling up at him. 35

“Sweet!” said Adrian. 36

As they continued to walk, Adrian put his hand around Liana’s shoulder again. At first Liana, tried to stay perfectly still from her waist up, but then limbered up and let her shoulder hit against his. 37

After that, the day went quick and nothing exciting happened. The day was nearing its end, and the girls were getting ready for bed. Liana thought about the upcoming day. She was excited yet nervous. 38

What am I gonna do, how am I gonna dress! Liana shouted in her head. 39

The other girls were all ready in bed and half-asleep. Liana lay awake, staring at the glass, and petting Chaos’ stomach. She slowly drifted off to sleep, all the ideas swimming in her head. 40

Liana woke up early and left the other two to sleep. Liana washed her face, in the bathroom, ate a quick breakfast she poofed up, and then decided to get ready. Chaos sat staring at her as she fixed her hair, up and down. She then poofed up some clothes and started to debate. In the end, she had picked out a nice tee, and a pair of mid-dark denim jeans. She finally found a nice hairstyle, a ponytail. Liana took a deep breath in and out, as she waited for Adrian. 41

“Watch everyone while I’m gone ok?” Liana ordered Chaos. 42

He looked up at her and meowed in agreement. Liana smiled and rubbed behind his ears. There was a knock on the door, and Liana quickly turned her head. She quickly checked to make sure she left a note on the table saying she went out and ran to the door. She opened it to see Adrian beaming down at her. He was wearing a black collared shirt, and dark denim jeans. Liana looked at him and smiled. Liana slid out the door, and quietly shut it behind her. 43

“Ready to go?” asked Adrian. 44

“Um, yeah,” said Liana. 45

Adrian smiled and wrapped his arm around Liana’s shoulder. 46

“So, you nervous?” asked Adrian, looking down at Liana. 47

“Yeah,” answered Liana. 48

“Well, we are going somewhere I really hope you like,” smiled Adrian. He stopped and brought Liana closer to him, “Hold on,” he smiled.49

Liana looked up at him, and clung to his arm. 50

“Trasppero!” shouted Adrian. 51

Liana watched Adrian, as wind started to blow up her hair. Liana closed her eyes, as she felt a strong gust of wind blow. When all seemed calm Liana opened her eyes again. She looked around and saw she was on a quaint little dirt path, leading to what looked to be a village. 52

“It’s beautiful!” said Liana, looking around in awe. 53

“I was hoping you’d like it,” said Adrian, looking at Liana. 54

Liana remembered she was clinging to his arm, and quickly let go, her face pink. Adrian smiled down at her, and kept walking. Liana looked left and right as they passed adorable little shops and huts. They lined each side of the dirt road, and had a country feel to them. Many of them, however, seemed empty and closed.55

“And, it should be over… here!” said Adrian. He stopped in front of a store, Liana looked up at the sign it read: Ye Olde Ice cream Parlor. “And… it’s closed,” sighed Adrian, trying to open the door. “Sorry,” he said, looking down. 56

“Aw, it’s ok,” said Liana. 57

“We can always um… have a picnic,” suggested Adrian, looking at Liana. 58

“That sounds good,” smiled Liana. 59

Adrian walked with Liana, to the rolling fields, sitting a little outside the village. The walk was short, but quaint. Below the fields were trees and bushels of fruits. When they got there, Liana and Adrian both sat down. Adrian quietly mumbled something, and a nice array of food appeared. 60

“Wow,” said Liana, looking at what appeared. He’s a Wizard! Something hit Liana on the head, and she looked up. It started to pour down on their heads. Liana laughed and looked at Adrian. 61

His head was down, in grief. “Why!” he shouted, looking up.62

Liana laughed and so did Adrian. 63

“Wanna go?” asked Adrian, still laughing. 64

“Sure,” said Liana. 65

“It doesn’t look like our day, huh?” asked Adrian. 66

Liana shook her head, smiling. Adrian looked at her and came closer. Liana looked up at him, his face coming towards hers. Liana closed her eyes, and waited for his lips to met hers. Adrian reached closer, but then stopped. 67

“I don’t wanna steal a kiss from a girl like you!” smiled Adrian, moving away. Liana opened her eyes and looked up at him. 68

“Thank you!” said Liana. She ran over to Adrian and clung to him. The two stood in the rain, clung to each other. Liana let go, and smiled at him. The rain continued to beat down on their faces, as they burst out laughing. 69

The two continued walking in the rain, the rain beating down on their happy faces. “This was really thoughtful!” said Liana. 70

“Yeah, if only things went as planned,” smiled Adrian, “Guess it’s not meant to be,” he sighed. 71

Liana looked at him and smiled. 72

“Come here,” said Adrian, gently grabbing Liana, and pulling her closer to him. “Trasppero!” he shouted. A gust of wind came again, and swept the two off their feet. Liana held her head to Adrian’s shoulder, as she waited for her feet to touch solid ground. Liana reopened her eyes, as she touched down. 73

“Yeah, we’re just a little wet,” laughed Liana, looking down at her soaking clothes. 74

“Yup!” laughed Adrian. “Well, the Salem and Fang should have gone to eat breakfast at the main room, so the guy should be back at our room. Sorry again,” said Adrian, looking down. 75

“Ok, and thank you,” said Liana, giving Adrian another hug. “Bye,” she said, heading back towards her room. 76

“Bye,” smiled Adrian turning around. 77

Liana started to walk back and thought about all that had happened. Liana started to giggle. Then burst out hysterical in the middle of the corridor. Someone passed by and looked at her. Liana looked back at the person and started to laugh again. She then looked down at her dripping wet clothes. She pulled at them, so they weren’t sticking to her. She laughed, as she got to the door. Liana took a deep breath to calm down, and quietly opened the door. It wasn’t locked and so she quietly slipped in. She peered in to see Stella and Jinxi were still asleep. Liana walked over to the nightstand and ripped up the piece of paper she had written the note on. She smiled as she threw the note in the garbage. Liana then walked back over to her bed, she mumbled, “Inclothes,” and changed back into pajamas. She lied down on her bed, looking at Chaos. He had fallen asleep, and was gently purring. She watched as he breathed in and out. Liana smiled and gently laid her head down on the sheets 78

“So, I guess I’ve still never had a first boyfriend,” said Liana. She looked up at the glass. She smiled at the rose imprint, Liana thought of the dream in the garden she had, “Wow, it kind of looked like that,” she said. The rose resembled those that she had seem in her dream. Liana smiled and then she heard Chaos yawn. She looked at him, and he stretched, then walked over to her. Liana smiled as he rubbed against Liana’s head, and hit her nose with his tail. “That tickles!” laughed Liana. 79

Chaos meowed at her then climbed on her stomach and rolled up into a ball. Liana smiled and rubbed Chaos’ sides as he looked at her. 80

“You’re sleepy, huh?” asked Liana, watching as Chaos yawned. 81

He looked at her and smiled. He then started to paw at Liana’s hair. Liana laughed and lifted him up. Chaos looked at her and meowed.82

“I won’t let that evil girl get you again,” smiled Liana, rubbing her nose against his. Chaos meowed, as Liana set him back down on her stomach. She started to pet Chaos and he slowly drifted back off to sleep. Liana smiled as he gently purred. Liana looked at the grandfather clock, it read eleven thirty eight a.m. She sighed and laid her head back down. Liana heard something rustle and she turned her head. It was Jinxi getting up. Liana looked at her and smiled, “Good morning.” 83

Jinxi rubbed her eye and looked at Liana. “Good morning,” she smiled. “How come your up so early?” asked Jinxi. 84

“Early,” laughed Liana, “It’s eleven thirty nine.” 85

“Wow!” said Jinxi springing up. She got out of the bed, “The guys haven’t come over for breakfast yet?” asked Jinxi.86

“No,” answered Liana, “They heard you were still asleep and left.” laughed Liana. 87

“Oh, ok,” said Jinxi, starting to get changed. 88

“So, maybe, hey do we have any leftovers?” asked Jinxi. 89

“I think we have some crepes left over,” said Liana, thinking. 90

“Cool, maybe I’ll have that,” said Jinxi, licking her lips. 91

Liana laughed as she slowly got up, trying not to wake Chaos. “So you want the kitchen?” asked Liana. 92

Jinxi nodded. 93

“Ori Iana!” mumbled Liana. 94

The rose gate appeared and Liana opened it, Jinxi walked in. 95

“Want some milk?” asked Liana, walking over to the fridge.96

“Sure,” said Jinxi, grabbing a crepe and putting it in the microwave. 97

“Um, a minute or two should be good right?” she asked. 98

“Yup!” answered Liana, pouring the milk. Liana placed the milk on the table and Jinxi brought the hot crepe to the table. “Still smells good,” smiled Jinxi, taking a whiff.99

Liana sat down and Jinxi took a bite of her crepe. 100

“Good,” smiled Jinxi. 101

Liana looked over at her and laughed. Jinxi’s ear perked up, making Liana burst out hysterically. 102

“Oh, the ears,” laughed Jinxi, almost chocking on her crepe.103

“Don’t die!” laughed Liana. 104

“Trying,” answered Jinxi. 105

Chaos came in, and Squishy trailed behind. 106

“You two hungry?” asked Liana, looking down at them. 107

They both looked at each other and nodded. Liana beamed down at them as she got up to get them food. 108

“Hm, for Chaos, milk and fish, and for Squishy how about water and fish?” asked Liana. 109

The two nodded at her as she got fish and milk out of the fridge. Liana poured the milk into a small dish, and filled another dish with water for Squishy. She then placed them down on the floor, as she cut some fish. 110

“Here ya go,” said Liana, placing down a plate of cut up trout. 111

Squishy and Chaos happily looked up at Liana, then they gorged in the food. Jinxi smiled as Liana walked back to the table. Liana and Jinxi sat and talked, as they waited for Stella to wake up. Jinxi finished eating and put her plate in the sink. Liana sat, starting at Chaos and Squishy as they ate. Liana smiled, and then looked through the doorway, seeing if Stella had woken up yet. 112

“Is she up?” asked Jinxi, taking her seat again. 113

“Nope, wait, I think she is arising,” laughed Liana.114

Stella got up, looked around, and the walked in to the dining room. 115

“Good morning,” laughed Liana and Jinxi. 116

Stella smiled at them and waved hello. 117

“Tired, huh?” asked Jinxi, watching as Stella took a seat at the table. 118

Stella yawned and nodded. 119

“Aw, your so cute when your tired!” laughed Jinxi. 120

Liana laughed and Stella smiled, as Squishy waddled over to her. 121

“You ok?” asked Liana. 122

Stella looked at her and nodded yes. 123

“Good,” said Liana looking at the ceiling. 124

Chaos came over to Liana and hopped on her shoulder. Liana laughed as he proceeded to try and jump onto her head. Everyone giggled as he struggled to grab hold, pawing Liana’s hair and almost scratching her ear. 125

“That tickles!” laughed Liana, lifting Chaos up. 126

He smiled down at her, and meowed. 127

“Aw!” said Liana, placing him on the top of her head. 128

Chaos purred and curled up into a ball. “He was tired this morning,” laughed Liana. 129

Jinxi and Stella smiled, watching Chaos drift off to sleep. 130

“The guys come yet?” asked Stella. 131

“No, I asked the same question,” laughed Jinxi. 132

The girls sat in silence and then burst out hysterical. 133

“We are so weird!” laughed Jinxi. 134

“Aren’t we all?” asked Stella, giggling. 135

Liana laughed, causing Chaos to wake up. 136

He sat up and looked down at her, yawning. 137

“Aw!” the girls all said.138

Chaos looked at them and smiled. Squishy just rolled his eyes, and crossed his flippers. 139

“It’s ok,” smiled Stella, lifting Squishy up. 140

The clock struck one o’ clock. The girls looked over towards the clock, 141

“This day seems to be going fast,” sighed Jinxi. 142

Yeah thought Liana. 143

Stella stood up and walked towards the fridge, she looked around then shut the door. 144

“Watcha looking for?” asked Jinxi, twirling the tips of her hair in her fingers. “Nothing important,” Stella smiled, pouring a glass of water. She took long sips. “Are you dehydrated?” asked Liana, looking up concerned. 145

“That’s probably all it is, yeah,” smiled Stella.146

Liana and Jinxi looked at each other, worried. The girls talked for some hours, when Chaos quickly turned his head to look behind him. 147

“You hear something?” asked Liana, looking up at Chaos. 148

Chaos hoped down from Liana’s head and onto the floor. He then ran out the dining room and into the bedroom. 149

“Chaos!” called Liana getting up. She walked into the room and saw Chaos scratching at the door. “What’s wrong?” asked Liana, opening the door. 150

Chaos jolted out the door and ran down the hall. 151

“Chaos!” shouted Liana running after the kitten.152

Jinxi and Stella looked at each other than also ran out. They followed Liana, hoping to help find Chaos. 153

“Hurry!” shouted Jinxi, looking back ay Stella.154

“I’m trying,” shouted Stella back. 155

“Chaos!” Liana called again. Liana ran past the boys’ room. 156

Salem stuck his head out the door. He watched as Chaos ran past he stepped out the door, watching Chaos turn the corner. As Salem went to turn around Liana almost ran over him. 157

“Holy!” shouted Salem, falling to the floor. He quickly got up and ran back into the room. “Guys, we have a run away!” laughed Salem, he quickly ran back out the door. Fang and Adrian looked at each other smiled and followed Salem. As they walked out Jinxi and Stella came running by. 158

“What are you doing?” asked Salem, as Jinxi passed. 159

“Getting Chaos!” shouted Jinxi, looking back. 160

“Common guys!” shouted Salem, following Stella and Jinxi. Salem ran off and Adrian looked at Fang laughing. 161

“Might as well go!” shouted Fang, running past Adrian. 162

“Why?” Adrian mumbled, following the mob. 163

“Chaos!” shouted Liana, as he ran through an open door. Liana followed but found it was the back door of the carriage. “Chaos?” asked Liana. She saw Chaos sitting in the grass, the carriage driving away. “Chaos!” shouted Liana. 164

He turned and ran into the woods. Liana looked at the spinning wheels. She took a deep breath, tucked and rolled off. Liana’s landing didn’t go so well. She hit the ground back first, but then ended rolling on her side. She could feel her skin being sliced by tiny rocks and twigs. Liana stayed in an almost fettle position till she stopped rolling. Liana huffed, trying to get up. Dirt covered her face and cuts all over from the rocks and sticks. Jinxi walked onto the back of the carriage, Stella and the boys behind her. 165

“Liana!” shouted Jinxi, catching eye of her. “How are we gonna get her?” asked Jinxi, turning around. 166

Stella looked out, not an idea passing through her mind. 167

“Jump!” shouted Adrian, grabbing Stella. He jumped up high, then landed on his feet poise fully. He gently let go of Stella, and turned around watching the carriage drive off. 168

“Common,” Fang smiled at Salem, disappearing. 169

“What are we gonna do?” asked Jinxi, looking at Salem. 170

“Well cats’ land on their feet right?” implied Salem.171

“On the count of three,” said Jinxi. 172

“Three,” shouted Salem, jumping. 173

Jinxi and Salem pounced off, and landed right on their feet. 174

“Nice hypothesis,” said Jinxi, running to catch up to the others. 175

Fang appeared right behind Adrian. 176

“Stop!” whispered Adrian, the hairs on the back of his neck standing up. 177

“Stop what?” smiled Fang, acting innocent. 178

Adrian just looked at him and glared. 179

“Common let’s go!” said Jinxi running after Liana.180

Liana was walking in the forest, looking left and right. “Chaos!” mumbled Liana. She looked all over but only saw trees and fog. “Chaos!” called Liana again. She walked through a patch of bush to find an opening of trees with moonlight shining in a ring. Liana looked, and there she saw Chaos. “Chaos?” asked Liana. 181

Chaos looked up at her and meowed. 182

“Chaos,” smiled Liana walking over to him. Liana walked into the light , and fell to her knees as she reached for him. She picked him up and gently hugged him. 183

“Meow!” purred Chaos, happily. 184

Liana lifted Chaos up and looked at him. She started to laugh. She laughed and laughed, she laughed so hard she looked like she went psycho. 185

“I hear her!” Jinxi called to the others. 186

“Is she laughing!” asked Salem, a confused look on his face. 187

“Yeah she is!” shouted Adrian. 188

Fang stopped running. He closed his eyes and imagined the lighted circle Liana was kneeling in. He opened his eyes and they were red. Fang smiled his red eyes focused. Adrian turned around and looked at Fang, “We should follow him!” shouted Adrian. 189

Fang looked at Adrian then in almost a blur, Fang ran off to where Liana was. Adrian looked up at the cloudy sky, then followed the others. Adrian looked left and right, the smells of the forest made his head hurt. 190

“To many smells,” he complained, his hand on his head. 191

“Stupid cat had to run here of all places,” he groaned. He started to snarl, and almost claw his face. We better hurry he thought, looking up at the sky again. 192

The forest was damp and almost seemed to be secluded. Cobwebs hung from one tree to the next, eerie smells filled the air, and a mist shrouded all that lied ahead. The little sunlight caused the ground to be moist, and almost able to suck you in. The air was cold and thick, making it had to breathe. 193

Liana stopped laughing and placed Chaos down. She looked up at the cloudy sky. Chaos purred and rubbed against Liana’s leg. 194

“Don’t do that ok,” said Liana, looking down at Chaos. 195

He gave her a sad face and meowed. Liana smiled down at him. The moonlight beamed down on the two as the noises of the forest filled the forest. 196

“Liana!” shouted Jinxi, running through the bushes. 197

Liana’s head turned and she saw Jinxi. 198

“Liana!” said Jinxi again, she ran over to Liana and started to hug her. 199

Stella also found Liana and came over to give her a hug. 200

“Don’t do that!” shouted Jinxi. 201

“Yes, please don’t worry us like that,” said Stella. 202

Liana just stared her eyes wide. Her eyes then started to fill with tears. “I pr-promise I won’t,” said Liana, putting her head down. 203

Stella looked at her and smiled. The three girls in a loving embrace. 204

Fang appeared behind the three girls, Adrian and Salem came running and huffing through the bushes. 205

“You o-ok…?” asked Salem, trying to breath. 206

“Yeah, we’re fine,” said Stella turning around smiling. 207

“It’s so dark surrounding here, where’s the light coming from?” asked Salem, catching his breath. 208

The girls all let go, and were standing up now. 209

“From the moon, I believe,” said Stella. 210

“What?” asked Adrian. 211

“Yeah, it’s a full moon tonight,” said Stella, looking towards the sky. 212

“Well you found the cat so be happy,” said Salem, looking down at Chaos. Chaos walked over to Adrian, and rubbed against his leg. 213

“You stupid cat get away!” snarled Adrian. 214

“Adrian, are you ok?” asked Liana. 215

“No!” growled Adrian. He had his hands over his face, and he feel to his knees. 216

Fang looked over at Adrian, almost looking afraid. Adrian started to claw at his face. He was taking in deep breathes, snarling and growling. He started to back up, until he was leaning up against a tree. As he had an attack against the tree, his back started to arch up and crack. His shoulders drew back and his spine popped. 217

“What’s happening?” asked Liana. 218

Adrian looked down at his hands, the nails started to turn a yellowish white and they started to grow rapidly which made his fingers bleed. His fingers began to crack and grow thicker. 219

“Ah!” he shouted in pain. 220

Liana and Jinxi stood in their place, knees trembling. Stella had her hand to her mouth. Adrian started to grow a snout, and he clawed down his neck. Red blood appeared on his claws and his eyes went yellow. The torn skin started to peel off, and silver fur, the same color as his hair, was revealed underneath. Fang began to back up, as the new Adrian’s gaze traveled all around. 221

“Run,” whispered Salem. 222

Fang stood perfectly still. Not moving a muscle.223

“Run!” shouted Salem. 224

Fang looked at Salem, then made a run for it. Adrian’s head quickly snapped towards his moving target. 225

“Adrian, relax dude ok, it’s Salem,” said Salem, trying to calm the werewolf.226

Adrian looked at him, and gave what looked like a smirk. Chaos looked at Adrian and hissed. Adrian looked down at Chaos and swung at the innocent cat. Chaos was luckily faster and had moved before Adrian pounded the ground. He hit the ground hard and his humongous claws got stuck. He snarled as he tried to pull his hand out of the solid earth. 227

“Adrian?” asked Stella. 228

He looked at her. 229

“Adrian, now we don’t wanna eat or kill Fang, ok, he’s our friend!” said Salem. Adrian looked at him, arched back his feet, and hurtled himself into the nearest tree. He started flying from tree to tree in the direction that Fang had run. Salem looked down. 230

“What can we do?” shouted Liana. 231

“Nothing,” answered Salem. 232

“There has to be something!” shouted Jinxi. 233

“Why would you have a vampire and a werewolf together?” asked Liana. 234

“We’re friends,” started Salem. 235

“Your idiots!” shouted Liana, running after Adrian and Fang. “I have to get to them!” shouted Liana. “Adrian, Fang!” shouted Liana. “Please!” she called. She started to lose balance, as rain started to pour down. “Why!” Liana shouted up into the sky. She trudged on, hoping to find either Fang or Adrian. Stopping she balanced herself on a tree. She took in deep breaths, but stopped and looked at the tree. There were claw marks, giant bloody gashes in the tree. I have to keep going Liana thought, pushing herself forward. 236

“What’s gonna happen to them?” asked Jinxi, the rain pouring down on her face. “I don’t know, that’s in fates hands,” said Salem. 237

“How are you not afraid!” shouted Jinxi. 238

“It almost comes naturally now,” said Salem, looking down. 239

“We must do, do something,” said Stella, looking towards Salem and Jinxi. 240

The two looked at her and then at the floor.241

“Let’s go,” said Salem, running through the thick bushes. 242

Jinxi and Stella nodded, following. 243

Liana heard Fang yell, and then a dog yelp. 244

“Must keep going!” shouted Liana, motivating herself, as the mud made it hard to run. She fell into a mud puddle and struggled to pull her leg out. With one hand she pulled her leg, and with the other she held her torso against a tree trunk. The rain poured down making the tree bark slippery and the mud worse. Liana was able to free her leg, so she quickly stood back up. She heard another yell, “I’m coming!” she shouted. As Liana continued, all went silent. She stopped and looked around, all she could see was black. Liana took deep breaths again, and she continued. There was another yell, and birds flew from the trees. Liana hurried her pace. She finally found Adrian. “Adrian,” said Liana. “Please, I know your in there, please if you can hear me stop!” shouted Liana.245

Adrian looked at her, blood dripping from his claws, and cuts on his body. Liana looked around, Fang’s body was nowhere in sight. 246

“Please, I know you’re there, you’re caring and kind, you wouldn’t hurt a person!” shouted Liana. 247

Jinxi, Salem, and Stella came running in, but quickly came to a halt. 248

“Adrian?” asked Stella. 249

Adrian looked over at her. 250

“Adrian, it’s Stella, how are you?” 251

Adrian continued to look at Stella and went down on all fours. Stella slowly and humbly walked over to Adrian. 252

“Are you ok?” asked Stella. 253

Adrian looked up at her. 254

“You look tired and cold,” said Stella, pulling a twig from Adrian’s fur. “Are you cold?” asked Stella, petting Adrian. 255

Adrian looked at Stella with almost yearning eyes. Everyone just stood in place watching both Stella and Adrian. Liana almost fell to her knees again, but instead she tripped and fell into the bushes behind her. She fell and hit the floor with a thump. 256

“What the hell did my head hit?” asked Liana. She turned around to see a torn and tattered Fang. “What?” asked Liana. Fang was drenched in what looked to be black blood, and his clothes were all ripped. “Fang?” asked Liana, trying to lift Fang. Liana pulled Fang by his shoulders, so his head was on her lap. “Fang?” asked Liana, trying to take a pulse. “Nothing!” shouted Liana scared. Wait, he’s a vampire, he doesn’t have a pulse she thought. “I’ll carry you over there, don’t worry,” said Liana, lifting Fang’s body up. 257

I have Fang, Liana thought really hard, trying to tell someone, anyone. 258

Stella heard her. Go, bring him back to the room, anywhere away from here, thought Stella. 259

Liana understood her and was able to get Fang over her shoulder. 260

“This would help if you weren’t like six foot!” mumbled Liana, walking. 261

Fang’s feet dragged against the ground, making it harder to pull him. His feet feet getting caught behind stones, and his shoes dragging through mud.262

“Common,” mumbled Liana, trudging through the mud again. Liana fell, Fang falling on top of her. “You not helping!” Liana said angrily. She got him over her shoulder again and started to walk. After what felt like hours, Liana finally made it out of the woods. “Now to get to the carriage,” mumbled Liana. “Trasppero!” shouted Liana. 263

A gust of wind blew around them and then they were thrown onto the floor. “Could have had a better landing,” complained Liana. She pushed Fang off next to her. Liana got up, and then dragged Fang onto her bed. 264

“You’re not heavy, but dude!” shouted Liana. She got Fang on the bed and carefully lied him in a comfortable position. Liana sat at the foot of the bed. “Those idiots, a freaking cat, werewolf, and vampire! Yeah, they all mix!” complained Liana to herself. She got up and looked over Fang, he was bleeding and the blood wasn’t even red. “How the hell is his blood black?” Liana asked. She looked at his cuts, they were all up and down his body. “He is like out cold,” said Liana, putting her hand to his head. She looked at his torn shirt, “Clean the cuts?” Liana looked down inquiring what to do and then took into action. “If I let him lay there like that, the cuts will heal and the clothes will get stuck in them. Ew!” mumbled Liana. She walked over to the other side of the bed. “Ok…um,” Liana said thinking. She pulled off Fang’s already destroyed shirt. “Now clean the cuts,” said Liana. She ran into the dining room, and grabbed a towel and some water. She dipped the towel into the water, and started to dab the cuts. 265

The blood was fresh and came off easily. Liana cleaned all the cuts, and looked at all the scars he had. His hairless chest had cuts here and there and a long scar running from his shoulder to his lower stomach. 266

“Ow,” mumbled Liana. She cleaned all the cuts, and then started to wash the towel. 267

The black blood came right off the towel and drained into the sink. 268

“I hope they’re ok,” mumbled Liana. 269

Stella, Salem, Jinxi, and Adrian, all walked towards the outside of the trees. “Adrian, will you behave?” asked Stella. 270

Adrian looked up at her as if ashamed, and nodded his big dog head. 271

“Trasppero!” mumbled Stella. 272

The four landed in the boys’ room. 273

“Watch him,” ordered Stella. 274

Salem nodded. 275

“Don’t eat the cat ok,” said Stella, petting Adrian. 276

“We’ll keep Fang till tomorrow, I guess,” said Jinxi. 277

“Sure,” smiled Salem.278

“Good night,” everyone said. 279

The girls left the room and started to walk back towards their own room. 280

“What are we gonna do with him?” asked Jinxi. 281

Stella looked at her and bit her lip, not knowing of an answer. 282

“Our friends are exciting, huh?” asked Jinxi.283

Stella looked at her and nodded. The girls walked into the room, and saw Fang on Liana’s bed, and Liana on the floor. 284

“Poor thing!” said Jinxi, walking to Liana. 285

“She fell asleep too,” smiled Stella. 286

“Well we have to move her, I refuse to leave her on the floor,” said Jinxi. “How’d he get on her bed?” asked Jinxi. 287

“I guess she laid him there,” answered Stella. 288

“What should we do?” asked Jinxi, gently lifting Liana’s body up. 289

“Um, we’ll put her on her bed,” answered Stella. 290

Jinxi lied Liana down on the bed, opposite of Fang. 291

“I’ll get a blanket,” said Stella. She grabbed the long cloth from her bed and laid it over Liana. “That’s good,” smiled Stella, walking back over to her bed. 292

“Whatever,” mumbled Jinxi, shrugging. 293

The two walked over towards the beds, got in pajamas, and went on Stella’s bed. “TV?” asked Stella. 294

“TV,” answered Jinxi. 295

There was a scratch at the door, and Chaos found a way to let himself in. Fang woke up, to something laying on his legs. He sat up, rubbing his eye. Chaos came over and crawled onto Fang. 296

“Was that you?” he asked. “What the, I don’t have a shirt?” Fang asked. 297

Chaos looked up at him. Fang rested his head against the backboard. 298

“How are you on my legs?” asked Fang. He looked up to see Chaos was on his stomach. “So what’s on my legs?” Fang asked Chaos. He looked towards his feet and saw Liana was laying on his legs. Fang stared at her dead silent. Fang couldn’t move his legs, meaning he couldn’t get up. Fang looked at Liana, her head was on his thigh, and her torso on his legs. The sun was rising, and the light from the window shone through. Fang hissed, as it shined in his face. 299

“Damn, now I can’t move!” mumbled Fang, angrily. 300

Chaos looked up at him, as if to laugh. Fang looked down at him an eyebrow raised. Chaos smiled and hoped down. Fang sighed and laid his head against the headboard again. He looked around the room and saw Stella and Jinxi were also asleep. 301

“Well, the others should be coming soon for breakfast, like four hours,” sighed Fang. As he laid his head back on the head board, Liana started to move and nudge her head against Fang’s leg and she wrapped her arms around them as if in a hug. Fang’s face went as pale as possible, watching her. “Maybe I can lift her off,” mumbled Fang. He gently lifted Liana’s shoulders, her grasp around his legs was not to tight, so her arms came right off. 302

Liana started to move again, Fang stopped and so did she. Fang took a breath and continued to try and free himself. His grasp slipped and Liana’s back fell on his chest. Fang hit the back board, “Ow,” he mumbled. 303

Liana nuzzled her face, and Fang tried hard not to move. Liana had slipped out of the blanket and was shivering. 304

“Damn it, I can’t have her freeze,” said Fang. He carefully reached and grabbed the blanket, pulling it over Liana. Fang was cold anyway, so it didn’t matter if he had the blanket. Fang rested his head back down on the pillow. He closed his eyes, and started to drift off to sleep. 305

“I’ve got to stay awake,” yawned Fang, trying to open his eyes. 306

Liana had stopped moving and all was quiet.307

“Stay awake,” mumbled Fang, ordering himself.308

Chaos walked over to Fang and Liana, once Fang had fallen asleep. Chaos smiled and curled up under the bed, quietly waiting for the others to wake.
