I'm all alone in here except from the odd noises, I was given a job to do, which was to stack boxes, in neat rows along the wall.1
I did as mant as I could before the cold could hurt me! Time was running out! How long will I have?2
It's too late, my hands are numb, my spine feels as if it's being gripped and twisted by icy fingers, every movement I make hurts.3
I need to stop. I need to get warmed up and soon. I cant warm up, I'm getting colder by the second.4
Please give me my body heat back, it's too cold I can hardly hold my pen.5
My whole body is cold, I can't stop shivering, I can't move without the painripping through my body, those icy hands still have a hold on my spine they are now gripping my whole body, teasing me, stealing all the warmth that I have left.6
Help me, I have to beat this or it will kill me, hey, I wonder what that orange glow is?7
Ouch, the cold, it hurts.8
Please. Oh please help me?9
Please before it's too late.....!10
I had found this note in the remains of a building which I think used to be Woolworths, but I'm not entirely sure, anyway the rest of it due for demolition we've just got to clear out the remaining rubble.11
Apparently a few months ago a fire had raged in all it's glory, it had completely gutted the whole building, most had managedto get to safety, all except one unfortunate man, the story goes he was in aroom stacking boxes, where the fire alarm cannot be heard.12
Anyway, I was in the ruins, the ground covered by alayer of thick soot as well as my boots, I couldn't even see my feet, the ash is ankle high, as I was trudging through with my wheelbarrow chucking in the odd brick or two, I came across the room that guy was supposedly stacking boxes in. Since I had to clear everything I decide to in there and clear out it's contents, if any, I left my barrow and approached the room.13
I reached for the handle and grabbed it, for a second I stood frozen to the spot the handle was still hot, I pulled my hand back, but not before it got burnt, my hand began to throb so I tore off the sleeve of my T-shirt and wrapped it around. For the second time I reached for the handle, I jerked my hand back in anticipation, but found it to be cold, it turned with ease.14
The door swung open, as it hit the wall it fell off it's hinges, revealing a frozen male corpse, it toppled over and fell on me, I screaned out in surprise. I lay there for a few moments, gently easing the corpse off of me, sitting up brushing the ash off my clothes, it was then that I saw the paper in his hand.15
I tried to gently pry it away but to no avail I had to use force, I yanked it away, and pulled off three of his fingers, it was what I saw afterwards that made me violently sick.16
Inside the room were the stacked boxes, they had a frozen reddy brown substance surrounding them, I didnt need to get any closer as one of the cardboard boxes collapsed, a human head rolled out onto the floor and hit my foot, to stare up at me with it's cold dead eyes.17
It had a sneer on it's face like it was making fun of me, after I managed to move, I kicked it away for it to expload as it hit the wall, then one by one the boxes fell apart to reveal more human parts.18
I was violently sick again, then passed out, to wake up in the hospital.19
This was no ordinary Woolworths store.....
