In the Begining

In the beginning before time itself existed, before there was anything at all, there was everything. The unknowable God, the master, The All was there. In his ultimate wisdom he brought forth from himself divine creatures that were like him. Each of these beings were separate from and yet still part of the All. They had thoughts and feelings, but because all things exist only in the mind of God they were part of the All.1

Now one of the most beautiful of these Divine beings was Sophia. To describe her beauty would take countless lifetimes, for she was and is perfect in form.2

Like all children Sophia was curious and longed to explore the vastness of creation. So she set out to discover what she might and was so occupied with her discoveries, she failed to notice that she was moving ever farther away from the light of the source. Until at last she stopped and became aware that she could no longer see the light. Like all children who become separated from their parent and do not know which way to go, Sophia became frightened. In her fear she panicked and began to seek her her source, her father.3

She saw in the distance what she thought was the light of her Father and began to rush towards it. She had no idea that she was actually getting further and further away, moving down through the layers of creation.4

Finally tired and still alone Sophia reached the lowest level of creation and there is came to a rest. Finding herself totally alone and completely lost Sophia could not remember how to return to her father. so in her loneliness and ignorance she set out to create a being like herself.5

Poor Sophia had know idea what she was doing and her creation was deformed and flawed by the same ignorance that was Sophia's. This creation of hers set out to create as well and it's creation was the material world we know and all that it contains. It is a prideful god that does not want to share the glory of creation with anyone else. To this end he enslaved is greatest creation, mankind, in a web of lies and false religions. Hoping in this way to keep them in ignorance of the true Father and their own divine natures.6

What of Sophia though? The other divine beings that had remind with the source felt sorrow and despair at her loss, so that the All in his Goodness sent forth the Christos to rescue Sophia and lead her back to the All.7

Like Sophia we are all lost children of the unknowable God and like a good father he wants to rescue us. We however must do our part by obtaining knowledge of the order of the universe and our own Divine nature. This knowledge is called Gnosis and is the key to our return to the The All.8

Author notes

This is the story of creation that my religion holds to be the truth. I have rewritten it to be more understandable to children. I hope that any who read it will find enlightenment.
