Outline and Story treatment for Science Fiction novel.1

1. Valentine, an immortal cyborg created to be the perfect personification of man, discovers an alien planet while searching the known universe for intelligent life. He discovers a species that has adapted to a low gravity world, with a developed culture circa Earth's 1400's. Valentine alerts Earth to the discovery, and a team of scientists and explorers is dispatched. Their arrival will take roughly 300 years while the humans sleep in cryogenic hybernation.2

2. While waiting for their arrival, Valentine breaks with the protocol assigned to him and initiates contact with the alien species. He conspicuously announces himself during a race held between the alien beings and creatures that resemble "raptors". 3

--Being immortal, Valentine can study the race and the planet they inhabit for as long as he wishes, and can learn anything they teach him. He is limited by his knowledge that a human can take in, and has to back up important information onto his ships harddrive, and he is susceptible to common human flaws, like greed and love.4

--He studies their society and offers advances with Earth's technology to cure diseases, improve transportation, and also improve what he knows.5

--He studies their religion, which is based around drug use with plants. The drug allows Valentine and the alien races to interact with an inter-dimensional species that can manipulate the world they live in, and the dimension we occupy. They are intrigued with the artificial being created to represent the human race, and wish to know more about the world he inhabits. They inform him that the drug is unique to this planet, and needs to be spread among other planets with intelligent creatures to interact with to expand their knowledge.6

--The inter-dimensional beings focus on Valentines search for knowledge and infinite power, and fuel his desire to take over the planet. 7

3. The planet is in great distress. Within a hundred years, their technology has expanded to nearly 1800 Earth's technology, and their entire world is thrown into chaos. Many of the citizens bounce between a desire to maintain the old order, and oust the interloper, while others embrace the change.8

--Valentine, fueled by the drug and the inter-dimensional species, starts a campaign to take over the planet.9

4. Valentine gathers an army and ousts a Queen in an enourmous castle fortress. Gathering herself, the queen takes refuge in a hidden room in the castle and hides from the invading forces. She communicates with the alien species who transport her to their dimension to keep her safe from Valentine's conquests. (Not revealed by this point in the story, but the inter-dimensional species plan is to get Humans to the planet as quickly as possible, then have Valentine plant the drug plant on two of the planets in the human solar system, on Earth and Mars. Their design is to have more places for their outposts.)10

5. Valentine rules with peace for 200 years while he awaits the arrival of the human scientists. He knows that he will be punished for taking over the planet and making himself Emperor, and plans to turn himself in to the away party. He will not inform the away party of the drug or its uses, and the inter-dimensional species will be kept quiet.11

6. His plans go awry when the away team arrives. One of the inter-dimensional species ambushes the team while they are in space, and the battle aboard the St. Anne takes place.12

--The away team has awaked 2 years early to practice work and abilities in lower gravity. When they are attacked, the lower gravity is a great boon to the inter-dimensional creature.13

--The way they defeat it is by adding the gravity of earth to the ship and grounding it.14

7. Realizing that the planet has been soiled by human touch, they land at the capital where Valentine and the Queen fought in the palace. On their way to the room, the Queen is transported back by the inter-dimensional species with the gift of telekinetic powers, to help subdue Valentine. From the poisoning by the drug, he has gone crazy and will do anything to keep his throne.15

8. The party and Queen subdue Valentine and prepare him for the trip back to Earth by placing him in a cryogenic tube. The Queen joins them on the journey, along with another of the aliens on the planet. Two of the human scientists remain behind to study the planet and begin damage control. Many plants are taken back in the ship, including samples of the drug. The Queen explains that for the inter-dimensional to survive, creatures of our dimension must consume the drug and release a psychic energy that flows like a river in the 5th dimension. This is what the inter-dimensional species feeds on. Without it as a base, they cannot enter our reality or manipulate objects in it, nor travel far from the places that the plant/drug exists, limiting them to the planet they are on. 16

9. They begin the journey back, all in cryogenic tubes. The inter-dimensional species laments the loss of Valentine and the Queen, two of the most prolific users due to their unique interactions with the species. 17

10. They arrive on Earth with samples of the alien planet nearly 600 years later, and Earth is explained. The society has changed and many wars have been fought, the alien planet never forgotten about. Many of the people were in cryogenic tubes awaiting the arrival of the away crew. Due to the large number of the population waiting for an eternity, advances have been slow and Mars has still yet to be colonized. 18

11. Everyone is wakened and the trial of Valentine begins. 19

--Citizens begin experimenting with the drug, and the inter-dimensional species is brought to Earth. Rogue dope heads take the plant and place it on mars, where it grows at exponential rates and changes the atmosphere significantly. The inter-dimensional species discovers they can exist in both universes at the same time, using the drug with their 3Dimensional body that also feeds their 5th dimensional body, and want to develop a world on Mars where they can create a culture.20

--Wishing to coexist with the humans and aliens in peace, the inter-dimensional species promises to not attack or hurt them in any way, provided the drug is spread to more planets as they become available. They also request Valentine live with them on Mars, where he spends his time with them, wondering if he will ever have a soul.
