Mirrors - Chapter 3

"Did you hear?" Liz came up to me and almost yelled into my ear this morning.1

"What? What is so important that you have to pop my eardrums?"2

"Funny. Anyway, there is a new student coming into our grade!"3

"And? It's not like we didn't have new kids here. It's very common. It's called switching schools. Maybe you've never heard of it."4

"Ha ha. I'm not talking about some lame kid who came from the same state as us. But this guy is..."5

"Oh, I see. So it's a guy. That was the big news."6

"WILL YOU LET ME FINISH?"7

"I know what you are gonna say. He is very handsome, cute, hot, whatever. He has blond hair or dark hair or green hair. And another thing. You want him to be yours."8

"That's... wow that's amazing. You actually memorized my whole speech. But NO. This isn't about that, well, maybe a little. Anyway, this guy is from London. LONDON! Can you imagine that? And he's the son of the most famous artist in like the whole world. His father is Lee Nicholas. His name is Lee Alexander. And... his mom is Lee Taylor. THE Taylor. The most beautiful woman in Europe! How amazing is that? I haven't met him, but he is probably like amazingly hot!"9

"What I don't get is if this guy's parents are so famous and he is so "hot", as you say, why did he come to our school? I mean It's not a bad school, but I'm sure he could do better."10

"Maybe this is fate." Oh no. I can already see the sparks in her eyes.11

"Oh, spare me. I've heard that line probably 100 times. And it all ends the same. You find another target."12

"You say it like I'm a villain. It's just every time I think that I like a guy and he's good for me, he turns out to be a total jerk. And then another guy comes in my life and the cycle repeats itself."13

"Don't you have a loving boyfriend right now? Who cares and thinks about you every day? Who some people don't have."14

"Ok, ok. I'm sorry. I know I'm being... uh... how do you say it..."15

"Selfish, stupid, irresponsible as a a girlfriend, spastic, not caring for your boyfriend, malicious... do you want me to keep going? The list is never ending."16

"You're so mean. And... ok ok, I am kinda selfish... but you don't have to rub it in."17

"Fine, sorry. Anyways, what's so special about this guy?"18

"Have you been listening to what I was saying? At least a little?"19

"I was listening to you. But... when is he coming?"20

"Aha. So now you're interested?"21

"I'm just curious."22

"Hmm, suspicious, suspicious."23

"What!? I can't be curious about someone? it's just that my curiosity is taking over. That's all."
