Prologue: Vampires are real, not like the movies though. Hi, my name is Eliza Stone, but many know me as Angel, and I’m a master vampire. The movies do have a few things right, we vampires do have heightened senses, strength, but we still have our souls. The blood lust is also very true but we can also still eat food. Sunlight, garlic, and crosses have no affect on us. Both of my parents are dead. My parents were vampire hunters, which I gave up three years ago when I fell in love with a master vampire, Michael who elevated me to master level. I live my life on the edge at night where all the action happens.2

Chapter 1 3

My boy Jake owns the hottest vampire club in the whole world, called Vengeance in New York. 4

I walk into the place heading toward the bar, getting ready for another night of drinking and dancing.5

“Hi Angel, you want the usual?” Pete the bartender asked me. 6

“Yeah Pete, where’s Jake? I was thinking about getting a free meal.”7

“He’s up in his office in a meeting. Don’t you always find a free meal here?” He grins at me then stares out onto the dance floor. 8

I follow his gaze to the dance floor, where there is a mix of sexy humans and vamps. 9

“Yeah I always do.” I finish my drink and go to the dance floor, grabbing the first guy I see. 10

After three songs I leave the dance floor, heading to the lounge for another drink and rest.11

“So how were those guys Jake sent your way the other night?” Jenell my best friend asks while walking up on me from behind when I walk into the room.12

“Sweet and Spicy.” I hug her and follow her to the nearest couch.13

“How have you been Angel? I heard Michael is coming home.” She stares at me with concern. 14

Michael is my sire, the strongest most powerful vampire ever. We used to date but we became so addicted to each other the relationship became dangerous both physically and mentally, not just to us but those around us. I still do not know how I ended the relationship but I did. I was scared of the power, the pain I, we were hooked on.15

“I’m doing great love. Yeah, I know he is coming back, I can feel him getting nearer.” I answer, my mind going crazy wondering what will happen when he gets here.16

“Yes, the whole sire connection. Well just let me know when his welcome back party is” Jenell says grinning at me17

“Not planning on going if he does have one. We separated from each other to get control over ourselves, and I have but I don’t want to test it out.18

“But I love it when you don’t have control.” I hear that sultry smooth low voice I heard so many times ago.19

“Alura.” I whisper before I turn to look at her. I stop breathing at the sight of her. She is the most sexist, erotic, powerful female vampire I know, besides me. Alura is half my childe and half Jake’s, Jake is my first childe.20

“I don’t get a, hi how you been?” Alura says as she flops into the chair in front of us.21

“Hi Alura I thought you were on vacation.” I sit up straight trying not to respond to her. 22

“Hi back, and yeah I went than missed this place, and you.” She stares at me right in the eyes, with all confidence I’ll take her home with me tonight.23

“Alura I thought I made it clear the last time I saw you.” The last time I saw her was a month after me and Michael separated. During that month I was on a wild streak trying to tame the animal inside me, while supplying it with what I needed, pleasure, which I got from pain. 24

“You did, but as you said a few minutes ago you have control now so there is nothing standing in our way. Or are you just scared you’ll lose your control again.” She grins at me and slowly, very slowly looks me up and down. When her eyes meet mine again you can see the passion, the please fuck me fire. I lose it then and my fangs drop but I keep my mouth close and walk out of the lounge and out the club.25

“Shit.” I breathe out heavily once I get outside and take some fresh air in. Only Alura and Michael can make me lose control, but I’m stronger now neither of them can have me loosing full control.26

“Why you leave love?” I hear her behind me but I don’t turn around or move. I hear her footsteps getting closer and closer but still I don’t move. She wraps her arms around me resting her chin on my shoulder, turning her head into my neck breathing me in. Than do I move, closer back into her, moaning. 27

“I couldn’t stay away from you, I still think it was fucked up to make me stay away from you when I helped you control your dark desires.” I move out of her hold and soon as I do I feel like the air in me had been yanked away. 28

“Love that is just the point, I had to get control myself, but yes without you I might not have succeeded.” I turn and face her. 29

“Alura I missed you too, but going back is something I’m not willing to do.”30

“How do you know if you really do have control if you don’t test said control?” She moves another step closer to me and I move back.31

“Michael is back, I can feel him near.” I move back more avoiding her eyes.32

“Ah, Michael, the source that makes you even darker?” I hear some resentment in her voice and I look in her eyes for some clue to how she’s feeling.33

“Like you said I got to test myself and see if I am really in control.” I wished badly I didn’t look in her eyes than. I saw pain in them and I unconsciously move closer to comfort her, but she moves back.34

“Alura I’m sorry I didn’t.” She cuts me off.35

“Yeah you did. I guess everything before was nothing?” Then she was gone and I was left standing in the alley, I just stood there for a minute than left on home.36

Chapter 237

I woke up the next morning feeling frustrated at everything, so I decide to get myself into a long needed fight with some vampires.38

I head straight for the Red Dragon a club/safe house for vampires, there you can find any local vamp gang, leader, or like me a good brawl.39

I walk in the door and immediately eyes turn toward me some with fear, others with lust. Vampires here know me and my family, vampire hunters. Personally I don’t hunt them down until they break my laws or come on my territory.40

“Angel you know you’re not welcome here” Some bouncer at the club entrance tells me.41

“I know.” I punch him out of my way and enter the club, as soon as I get near the bar I look around, seeing only maybe eighteen vamps would be bold enough to attack me. I get my wish, John a year or two younger vampire than me comes to me with his little crew.42

“You’re not welcome here Angel, leave now.” John tells me coming close to my face, fangs bared. 43

“Make me love” I move in closer to him. He then growls at me.44

“Aw how cute.” I grin at him showing my own fangs, which are larger than his.45

John growls again then swings to punch me but I see it coming and block it, at the same time sending a knee to his gut. 46

Then his whole crew comes at me two on my right sending kicks at me. I roll out the way and I get punched from behind, I block the next punch and high kick the bitch a few feet away. Ten to go, the original two came back at me, I throw one by catching his foot and send him flying into the second kicking fool, both of them crashing into a wall down for the count. After kicking the rest ass I was weak on my feet, and before any other vampire notice that, I quickly got out of there. 47

When I got home I took a long shower and thought real hard if Alura and I really did have a relationship. Control over myself and my desires I gained two months after I sent her away. Still, I know Michael can break me if he wants to, he is my sire, but now I have the will to choose, to walk away. The next day I stay in bed recalling the times me and Alura was together, until Jake calls me up.48

“Hello?” I answer the phone.49

“Eliza, Michael is here and asked for you.” Jake says in an upbeat voice, he always loved Michael and was sad he left.50

“Ok, I’ll pop in but I’m not staying long.” I say hanging up the phone.51

I get to the club minutes later heading straight for the lounge area. Arriving there I see him sitting and talking carefree, with a lot of familiar faces I haven’t seen in awhile. Seeing him again almost brings me to tears, I am still in love with Michael always have been and always will, but I don’t feel the invisible rope around me anymore, I want him in my life always but I don’t want to get back together with him. Alura is right he is the source of it all.52

“Hello love, back so soon” I ask Michael. Everyone gets dead quiet, all staring at us, Michael gets up and bear hugs me. 53

“Ah, I have missed you. And what you mean back so soon, you know you missed me.” Michael says as he steps back from me giving a killer grin.54

“I missed you too, more so the entertainment” I say as I sit in my regular seat, smiling back at him.55

After an hour and a couple of drinks I see Alura enter the club. Happy to see her here now while Michael is here so I can prove to her I don’t need to test anything, I start to tell Michael I’ll be back when Alura turns in the direction of the lounge and our eyes meet, but so do her and Michaels. She starts to head for the door but I quickly get up and stop her.56

“Why are you leaving Alura?” I ask standing in her way of the door.57

“Move, Angel.” She tries to go to my right but I move in her way again. Her eye color changes to a weak amber, sensing she’s hurt somehow I figure she is not over what I said the night before.58

“Alura why, that night, the things I said weren’t.” Before the sentence came all the way out Michael joins us.59

“Nice to see you again Alura” Michael says standing at my shoulder obviously trying to start something.60

“Yeah real nice to see you, fuck you Michael. I’m out of here.” She says looking at me now as if she was going to try and move me out her way.61

“Watch your tongue before I take it out, do you need to be reminded of your place.” Michael growls deeply, trying to provoke her into hitting him.62

“Sorry but Eliza already did that.” Alura says as her fangs drop stepping closer to him, not looking to leave anymore. 63

“Both of you stop it, now! Michael we were having a conversation, so leave.” Even while I’m talking they still stare at each other, until Alura breaks the silence. 64

“Not anymore we’re not, I’m out” She turns to leave and I don’t stop her this time.65

“Fine I’m going with you.” I give Michael a, I’ll kill you look then move to leave but she gets in my way.66

“No, you stay I need to be alone.” Watching her leave my mind tries to comprehend what the hell just happened. Did I not stand up for her, say I wanted to go with her and not stay with Michael? I rush out the door and catch up with her.67

“What the hell love? Did I not just prove I don’t want Michael? That, I won’t drop to my knees at the sight of him?” I grab her arm making her stop. She yanks her arm away from me taking a step or two back.68

“Angel we never had a relationship, never. We were nothing and we still are nothing. Michael is your master and you mine, you two will never be apart from each other, will never stop loving each other. You know what that’s fine, but we, we will never be when you hold back who you are, until you know what you want.” Unable to move I just stare at her, not willing to accept what she said, feeling like she stabbed me with a sword and ran me over. I fall to my knees and watch her turn and run away with blurry eyes.69

Chapter 370

I don’t know how long it took me to get up but I did, I got up and went straight to her house and waited for her to return, not accepting we were nothing, we are nothing. Around forty minutes later I see Alura walking up the side walk with some woman laughing. She sees me on her stairs and starts to slow down. Angry as hell she was brining someone home with her after what happen earlier, my fangs drop full length and my eyes turn a blackish red. I don’t look at Alura I put my attention to the woman.71

“Fuck off, now!” The woman takes a look at me seeing my fangs and runs screaming.72

“Great, that was my dinner” Alura says in a bored voice, still not moving.73

“Have me for dinner, breakfast, lunch, whatever love.” I say moving toward her then appearing behind her, wrapping my arms around her waist, shaking at the contact.74

“What are you doing here?” She asks moving out of my arms a few steps facing me. Not willing to let her walk away from me, I walk up to her pulling her into me tightening my hold.75

“Tell me you don’t want me, you don’t, love me.” I whisper looking her dead in the eyes, keeping my arms around her.76

“I don’t want you…” Alura says about to say something else but I push her hard up against the wall near the stairs, closing the distance between us our faces less than an inch away.77

“I don’t want you, I need you Eliza. I love you” She gasps out rubbing her body against mine, making me loosen my grip on her.78

“I love you too.” I lean in and kiss her for the first time in months, immediately deepening the kiss, as if I would die when we stopped. 79

We quickly get to her room still kissing while ripping away our clothes, dying to feel each other completely. Close to the bed she shoves me down straddling my waist, moving in to kiss me.80

“Wait love, take me first.” I tilt my head giving access to my neck. She stares at me confused, not moving. 81

“I’m giving you permission, what I want is you and for that to happen you have to be a master vampire so drink.” Vampires are not allowed to bite a master in the neck ever, though I wanted her to before. A master’s blood is different from a regular vampire. Drinking the blood of a master will elevate you, and depending on the master a few extra abilities.82

Still she hesitates but slowly leans in and bites me causing my whole body to quiver. Within seconds she bites down deeper and harder not stopping until I pull her away. I watch her eyes change colors as I play with her nipples, my leg going in between hers, she starts to rock back in forth. As I draw blood with my thumb nail along the way in between her thighs, her fangs drop which just arouses me even more. I bite into her breast as I slip two fingers inside fucking her. She comes then and I add another finger as she recovers, not stopping before she can tell me to. Again I kiss her our tongues cutting on our fangs, blood mixing in. I lay her down on the bed then go down her body laying kisses on my way. I slowly eat her out until she starts riding my mouth making me lose control and bite deep into her still using my tongue to fuck her. She comes screaming along the way uncontrollably continuing to ride me until her body calms. I lick my way up her body stopping at her nipples taking them in between my teeth pulling softly while sucking on them. Alura pulls me up to her kissing me slowly body spent, though I elevated her I took too much blood at one time. We slept in the same bed for the first time, her deep in my arms.83
