. . . . Vampyre . . . .

1

'I see you wondering child , i see you walking that fine line, i see you drawn to the darkness, drawing you like a lover,  you feel the heat inside you ,enticing you with imagination and wonder ... before you make your choice, hear me out ...'2

i have felt that heat too, the drawing to the dark side, you feel .... feel so much inside you, the life of the vampyre is intoxicating, sensual and ...eternal.3

i watched all the movies too, the forever young lover coming into your room at night, touching you , filling your body with that longing heat, drawing you to him, wanting to be with him forever4

to live within the darkness, the seduction of the night, always drawing you. you look up to the night sky half wishing in the reality, desiring eternal night flight, with him - the vampyre.5

from what you have seen , and read, you feel that one step into the darkness will be like a prize, lust filled nights and cravings and blood ... always the blood .. youth eternal, unbounded power, following your lord of the night , throughout eternity...6

imagine yourself, willingly offering yourself to him, being taken to where they all are, you see the pillars of white marble, an internal tomb of stone, majestically made, you have visions of decadence, lavish decor, and uninhibited lust...7

you see for yourself, all of them, their naked bodies, writhing in esctacy, limbs entwined with limbs and you feel that answering heat of your own pulse to life inside you ....8

and you are brought to him, the sacrificial lamb, willingly giving up earthly life to become his creature of the night ... to move in the night, hidden from life and the sun ...9

you come against his body, and let your head fall back to expose your throat, your eyes connect with his ... the heat in your body begins to burn as you feel your lovers bite ... 10

and that burn turns to coldness, seeping into your veins, trailing its passage throughout your body till all heat is gone, and only coldness remains ...11

you are turned out of the tomb, so quickly, you are still not one of them - yet ... you have to survive on your own, without their help, to dodge the coming mornings rays till night and then feed - on your own....12

you feel panic, the trees are not that thick , sunlight will filter through and you search in a frenzy of where you might lie till night falls ...13

a fallen tree, dug out for firewood to be stored catches your eye ... this is your place of hiding, this is where you will be protected from the death rays of the sun...14

you turn , you see the sun rise in the east and as it climbs, its light fills the landscape, higher and higher it climbs ...15

what are you doing, what are you doing ! as you turn and run to greet the morning sun, all you have sacrificed, given yourself to the darkness, that drew you to this very spot, can it be that you found the darkness was not what it seemed, to give your life to the welcoming rays of morning ......... i am no longer the vampyre ....16

'SO child, think carefully of your choices .....'17

Author notes

this is an actual dream i had several years ago, i get many messages from my dreams and i believe that the path we walk is such as this . a very fine line, one step and your influenced by the darkness in this world, and it draws us like the lover, calling out to us, to take our souls ... i was shown in this dream that the darkness would give me nothing ... i have of course, chosen option 4

thankyou so much for your comments on vampyre .. i have been thinking alot lately how we can choose to completely submit to our emotions and what we can open ourselves to (re reading david pelzer's books) so easliy done, that fine line is mighty fine at times ....

    Applaud

This is an excellent work and thank you for drawing me to it. I have no hesitation in giving this work an applause for it is representing a conflict that exists in all of us, to live eternal or to be blasted by the divine rays.

Excellent write, very sensual yet sorrowful, giving tantalising glimpses of the sacrifices madee for a prize which we don't actually always want when we have finally won it.

In your author comments you said that we walk a very fine line between light and darkness. I totally agree. We do walk the finest line one could ever know.
