Imaginary Friend Vol. I - Come Out and Play

Here I sit in this chair1

Entire being in despair2

I know not where you are3

Unmade wish, unfallen star4

My imaginary friend,5

I wonder if this is the end6

For you, I know that it must be7

Yet I wonder, is it for me?8

I might as well have killed you dead9

A bullet through your lovely head10

I know this must be better, still11

I will sit right here until12

I've counted to one hundred-ten13

So you'll come out and play again 14

Author notes

I'm aware that "unfallen" isn't actually a word, but using it makes the poem flow. Dr. Seuss made up words, why can't I?

Edit: Thanks Alma-Tadema for the speedy reply that informed me; "unfallen" is, in fact, a word ^.^

  • Nice...

It sounds cheery and pure at first, but then it sounds a bit disturbing. Wanting to harm your imaginary friend? I could never! Lol
I love that patriotic background of yours, though it has nothing to do with the poem. Or does it?
By the way, "unfallen" is actually a word.

      That Was Fast!

Wow, speedy reply! Thanks for that, you I was in the process of changing the background, and now I've realized that this new one has green in it.. that simply won't do with my ivory coloring. Anyway, thanks for the great feedback!
