Knocking For Escape Part 1 (The Mysterious Man)

The day I escaped of my prison is a special one. It is one of the worst days of the castle but it is the best of mine.
That day was cold December evening. The moon had already come out and the servants were getting me ready for sleep when a stranger knocked on the old wooden door. He was only a boy, twelve or thirteen years old, but that is not what intrigued me. He had wolf ears! Little black things sticking straight up from his unruly black hair. He was wearing a long black cloak with a ruffled white shirt, almost like a noble man. You could tell nothing by his face, only a harsh coldness.
What he asked for was something the servants were scared to do. He wanted to stay for the night.  The guards and I were the only ones that stayed in the castle during the night, the servants leaving for the village a couple miles away.
I looked down at all this from above, spying through the stair railing. When the servants refused his request I stood up and slowly, gracefully, walked down the marble stairs. The servants looked up and they're faces turned to masks of fear as they bowed their heads. The boy only looked up his eyes slowly following my every move.
“Why do you not bow down to me like all the rest of these idiotic women.” I asked him.
“Why should I bow down to you? You are no royalty of my race! I see no point.” he answered in a cool calm voice that sent chills down my sine.
I heard one of the servants snickering behind my back. I turned sharply on my heal and stared at the girl that dared to snicker. She was standing behind two girls that were protectively surrounding her. I roughly pushed them away. The girl turned her pearl white face to me and looked at me. I in turn, raised my hand and then harshly brought it down on her cheek, a satisfying slap. I then turned back to the man.
“Then what race are you?” I hissed at him, my eyes tiny slits. The man only smiled and made a mock bow. His eyes were gleaming in the candlelight. For the first time in my life I was afraid. I was terrified of this man, but I wouldn't show it. For what would the servants ha
“Do you really think I will let you stay after you have insulted me so?” I asked him.
“Of course,” he replied “for I have something that you will surely love to see. Something that you might never be able to see. Here in my bag I have a notebook. On each paper is a drawing of the creatures that live outside this castle. I know you've never been outside.”
My eyes went wide at this remark. Of course I would love to see those pictures, but at what cost? Would it just be a nights stay or would he want something more of me. I just had to see those pictures.
“Fine then! You can stay here for the night. One of the servants will show you to an empty bedroom you can use.” I then left the man and bug eyed servants and walked up to my chambers.
