dreams under darkened skies part six

Something here was not right...1

Sean looked at Bridget, what were these people doing here.  After all, they were the top two agents- they knew everyone in the agency, but not these ones.  The group was apparently having a conversation, a pretty secret one at that.  When they noticed that Sean and Bridget were standing in the hallway looking at them they stoped, and all immediately stared at the two well built, strong agents with worried looks about their faces.  2

"Hey, er... My name's... Luke," Sean lied not wanting these people to know who he really was incase they really were unwanted guests, " you guys new around here, I haven't seen you before."3

One of the members of this new group in the hallway of the top floor, of the most secret places in all of Ireland, steped forward.  " Name's Rick, I'm top Security advisor for the Common wealth bank of England.  We heard that you ran a tight shop here, and had the most elite security team of any other bank in Europe.  We were wondering if you might share a few tips, or let us take a peek at some of your equipment."4

Either they actually bought the agencies cover story, or they were Brit spies, both Sean and Bridget feared that the later was the case.  And if so, how did they manage to get to the top floor, how did they get so close to their leader.  It was a very dangerous situation that could easily explode.  A group of brits would gladly give up their lives to kill off the leader of the IRA.5

Bridget this time spoke up, for fear that silence would give them the oppertunity to strike.  " We would gladly show you around and maybe even be able to give you a peek into the vault itself, but gentlemen this if the wrong floor if you're looking for equipment and money.  These two top floors are where guests and our staff reside.  I'm afraid they're quite private.  If you would allow me to escort you down to the first floor, I'd be more than happy to give you a look at our surveylance system."  She gave them the most polite and girly smile she could muster.  Girly, was not her thing.  Bridget didn't "do" girly.  She was a tom-boy.  She'd rather beat someone up than smile and offer to show them around.  But for the sake of the agency and for the sake of the dream, Irish Liberation, she would do it.6

Unfortunately it did not seem that these men wanted to go back down to the first floor, in fact they didn't want to go anywhere, well ok thats a lie.  They did want to meet the "boss" of the bank, which was a risk too high to take.  "I'm sorry gentlemen I understand your request but I cannot grant it, The Boss has stepped out on buisness, with a bank in zurrich for the week.  7

" We know that you're not telling the truth you filthy Mic!" Shouted one of the men at the back of the group.  He pushed his way to the front.  "We know this isn't a bank your runnin here, now show us what we want, or we'll have to go looking for it ourselves.  You wouldn't want me to have my way with you, would you?"  Bridget stepped back, her training taught her to take a defensive stance when threatened.  Her feet were apart, knees bent, weight on her back foot- ready for anything this brit could thow at her.  Sean meanwhile, realized he still had his Head-set radio- the very one he had called for help on when Layla collapsed.  He casually flicked it on, whithout any of the men who formed the angry mob infront of them noticing.  8

" I'm sorry gentlemen, this is the top floor, restricted to all but bank employees and invited quests.  We're going to have to ask you to leave right now.  As I have said before The Boss is not in, you'll have to leave now."  He said, with intensity.  9

Back inside Layla's room things were just about as bad as the situation on the top floor.  Layla could not stand sitting still for an hour, let alone remain in bed for an entire day.  Not to mention the fact the the seditive from last night had worn off early.  She had managed to get rid of the guard posted in her room, only God knows how, and was now walking around and exploring her new place.  The closet was grand- she had never seen so many clothes in one place let alone in her, very own closet.  The dressers were filled, and the vanity was stocked with all the top make-up, something that Layla had never worn before.  Layla looked at all of the brands, and different kinds of make up- she even tried putting stuff on- but realized that this stuff was harder than it looked.  Putting the make up away, Layla moved on from the vanity, and this time examined her desk.  10

This was her office, her place of work- right inside her room.  Layla thought it was pretty convetnient.  Layla had never owned a computer, she learned to use them at school-got pretty good with them too.  On her desk was her own computer, flat screen monitor and everything.  On the monitor was a note 11

" Sorry about the delay, we ordered your Lap top, it just hasn't come in yet.  It should be here in... about a week I guess, well have fun, I must run but I will come and see you soon to explain all this."  - The Boss12

Layla didn't know what to make of all this.  Everything was so neat and orderly.  The drawers of her desk were filled with neat, brand new things.  One of the drawers was talking... she found it, and inside was a head-set radio.  She turned up the volume and heard Sean's voice13

"...is the top floor, restricted to all but bank employees and invited quests.  We're going to have to ask you to leave right now.  As I have said before ..."  Layla thought about what Sean said, she started putting two and two together.  They were a group of people from the outside, intruders.  They were on the top floor of the building, the IRA head quarters, where the head of the IRA stayed along with other important officials.  Sean had also asked them more than once to leave, and his voice... it was so firm and a little angry.  14

Layla being the rambuncious girl she is ran to the closet, threw on a pair of jeans, and a white tank.  She ran to the door, and was about to throw it open when she realized that she was supposed to still be in bed.  Not to mention someone was comming down the hall.  They stopped at Layla's door, Layla pressed herself against the wall and when they came in, she quickly slipped out.  The elevator was too busy, and she would get caught, so she took the steps.  When Layla got to the top she ran down to where the fiasco was going on. 15
