Everlasting Dark

A bitter wind whistled outside the window.As Nineteen year old Maria Deagwa sat in the red chair and stared out the window.Her Honey Brown Eyes lonely.

Maria: huh...lonely,lonely nights.

She sighed getting up her shoes echoed through her apartment as they hit the cold ground.She walked over to her wide mirror that hung on her white wall.She studied the reflection.She was wearing a pair of blue jeans and a white t-shirt,her wavy black hair hung down to her waist.She stared into her own honey brown eyes that seemed to be weary.

Maria: urgh i wish something amazing would happen, why does it have to be so boring.Boring...boring...boring....

She slumped back down into the chair and put her head on her arm.

Just than she heared a crash in the bathroom.She looked up with a start.

Maria: ok now i know why they have that saying "Be careful what you wish for".

She got up, slowly walking forward.
She reached the blue mahogany door and slowly reached for the silver door nob.

Maria: shoot....god...god.....

There was another crash and it caused her to snatch her hand back.She leaned forward and rested her head on the door listening.A deep growl awoken the silence,she began to tremble.

Suddenly the door jolted as something rammed it from the other side sending maria to the floor.she crawled backwards to the corner of the room as the banging continued.Maria waited in shock for the creature to appear.

But when the crack in the door opened nothing appeared. The banging ceased and she stood up inching forward.She grasped the cold door nob and rotated it.when she pushed it open it hit something on the other side.She closed her eyes and blindly looked over the corner of the door.She opened her eyes and a cold wave of terror hit her.A gigantic creature heaved in the corner of the bathroom passed out.She couldn't react,What was it?

Maria: ah man why me......

She closed her mouth as it started to Stir.She quickly walked out and went to the kitchen,walking to the knife rack and grabbed a butcher knife.

Maria: please protect me...

She kissed the cold blade of the knife.She froze as she felt hot breath on the back of her neck.She slowly turned around thrusting the knife forward with all her weight,only to be stopped by a big hairy hand.

Maria:nooooo.....

She looked up into cold ember eyes.

It thrusted toward her neck its mouth open, sharp teeth showing, and Maria's world turned black as pain swept over her mind.

Maria awoke the next morning or maybe night,feeling everything but happy her neck hurt beyond belief.She opened her eyes and a bright light blinded her she turned on her side to realize she wasn't in her bed but on a cold celler floor.She sat up fast and found that she was caged in.And suddenly a cold remembrance of last night hit her,it was all real.

Maria:hey whats going on hello.......

She heard jingling of keys as a man with blonde hair and jet black eyes walked up to the bars.

Maria:who are you...

The man laughed.

MAN:your worst nightmare....

She got up off the cold rock floor.

Maria: dont play with me what are you .....are you the thing that attacked me last night..

Man:no that was my brother.I am Chaze salvo.My brother who has yet to meet you is Mark he is young and still sloppy to he needed to feed and you where his victim he got scared when he found you bleeding on the floor so he brought you here,foolish boy he should have finished you off but i think he has a soft spot......anyways come the master wants to meet you.

Maria:why me...What he wantsa bite to....

Chaze chuckled, unlocking the celler door.She walked out.Chaze following close behind.She studied the wall nothing ordinary just lite with torches that burned fiercely.Yea nothing abnormal at all.

Mange:you are the first to survive a werewolf bite...

she touched the wound at her neck know bandaged.

Maria:werewolf....Just my luck to get caught up in a werewolf story.
She rolled her eyes.

They walked down the hallway their footsteps echoing down the corridor.They entered through big red double doors and Chaze motioned her to stay in the middle.

Mange:master she is here.

The lights turned on in the upper section of the room.

Master:so you are the one who survived.

The dark figure walked out to show a tall male with long black hair.and red eyes, he look like a monster.

Master:mark come here

A boy about her age entered he was tall with long black hair that waved over his ears and he glanced at her with sorry eyes.

Mark:yeah...

Master: is she the one

Mark looked at her up and down and maria felt a uneasy tingle surge through her body,Feeling as if mark was doing more than recognizing her.

Mark:yeah..

Master:since you put this girl in so much trouble why dont you take her out for dinner.

Maria:i hope I'm not the dinner.

She mumbled under her breath.

Master:my dear we dont eat our kind i assure you that your safe.

She stepped back in shock at his fraile words.

Maria:"our kind??"..what do you mean?

Master:hahahahah.....dear girl you where bitten next full moon you'll turn into a werewolf one of us the first female werewolf....

Maria:noooo no way..

Mark approached her.She looked up at him.

Maria:How could you do this to me...why...

He looked at her with sympathetic eyes,grabbing her arm he lead her out of the big room.

Maria and marques sat at a dinner table in a restaurant.Maria finally found out it was night time,She wondered how long she was out.Than she realized mark was staring at her.

Maria:i should run.

Mark grabbed her wrist.

Mark:then why aren't you running.

The slight touch of his fingers quickened her pulse not in fear but in another kind of feeling.She hide it hoping he didn't catch her hesitation.

Maria:Ah...because what will i do when i start to turn into a werewolf...go to the zoo.

Mark chuckled.

Just than the waiter walked over to the table.

Waiter:what will you have.

Maria: ok ill have a stake and he'll have you...

She looked at mark putting the menu down.

Maria: you like them not to tender dont you.

Mark turned red.

Mark:ill have the same.

the waiter walked away bewildered.Mark leaned over to her

mark:ha ha very funny.And i should tell you if i like them"not to tender" then why do i have you cause let me tell you with those......

He stopped himself.

Mark: accessories your nothing but tender.

And soft and sexy as all hell.Mark bit back those words.

Maria: oh touche...well i have to go powder my nose ill be back ok....

He looked at her sternly the gaze made Maria's blood quicken its circulation.

Mark:nothing funny..

she smiled walking away.

Maria opened the window in the bathroom as women walked out worried as maria climbed through a lady looked at her.

Maria:uh...ugly date..

she crawled through and felt the cool air if the night hit her flushed cheeks.she looked up,to see mark smiling down at her.

Maria:shit how did you know.

Mark:alot of women walked out looking funny.

Maria: oh well i tryed

Mark helped her to her feet

Mark:lets go for a walk.

They walked out to the park.The night was cool and instead of feeling afraid for her life she felt safe.

Mark:man i feel really bad for hurting you.

He combed his hand through his black hair.

Maria: dont worry i just wont be able to live a normal life.or have any friends in fear that i might eat them.Oh and I'm also deprived of having a family...might eat them as well...

Mark laughed.

Marques: jesh i feel much better know.....

Maria and mark sat down on the bench.Mark: i was five...

The words blurted out and he cursed an oath under his breath know all he could do is explain.

Maria:huh five...

He bowed his head.

Marques:when i was bite i was five years old.,me and my brother .He killed my mother right in front of us.

she rubbed his back.

Mark:yeah thanks.

He Turned and they where face to face.

Mark: once again I'm sorry.

Maria:mark..Its OK..You couldn't control it.

The heat still burned but she knew the couldn't go on.She almost cried when he pulled down her shirt and fixed his hair.

The master walked down and grabbed her hand.

master ; Oh but it will....

maria screamed.

maria:mark help me........

Master:hahaha.....that fool help you.Just then the double doors flew wide open maria and the master turned their attention to mange who stood in the middle.

mange:mas...ter..

he fell on the floor blood leaking out of his chest.

Master:mange nooo.

Mark:stop..there dont move.

mark held a steel pole but to her surprise he dropped it.

Maria:mark....

Mark:let her go...

master:you would kill me......

Mark:ill never forget...never forget how you killed her...my mother........

Maria gasped...

Master:son...dont do this.

Mark:let her go ......and you'll walk away alive....

master:no..than so be it if its a fight you want its a fight you get.

The master let her go and she watch in horror as both men dropped to the floor as they started to change.Marks fingers clawed into the floor as hair formed on his knuckles.

Maria: god.....

The masters shirt ripped of as his back expanded looking as if they were in pain yelling with every transformation.

She looked back at mark and found he already fully changed,and with out hesitation charge at his father who was also done changing bringing him to the floor.

They tumbled on the floor biting and scratching.

Maria glanced and saw the pole to her right she ran and grabbed it.Looking over at the two monsters fighting to the death she ran over to them.

Just as they feel apart bleeding on the floor.She had to kill the master but witch one was he.....She took a stab at the one running to her piercing it in the chest as it fell on the ground.

She saw the other one jump past them in the spot where she was just standing realizing the one she just stabbed was trying to save her from a attack that would have killed her.

She turned to find mark back to himself naked and dieing.She crawled to him.

Maria:god I'm so sorry...what have i done...

Mark shacked violently as he coughed blood seeping from his mouth.

Mark: I'm so sorry..I'm so...so ...sorry.

He choked on every blood spilled word.

Tears burned down her face as she held him in her arms.She stared into his blue eyes.

Maria:shhh...its not your fault..

Mark: at least your free know...i love you maria...i....love.....

He stopped shacking his ragged breaths ceased.The pain in his eyes struck her full in the face.She could help the emotion that over took her.She violently cried into him.If she was destined to have a life mark was it.

Maria:god...no...

she let out a heart filled sob.

Then she leaned down and kissed his still warm lips reminding her of the kiss the had shared earlier reminding her of the kiss she will never share again.

And with all her strength she rose up the pole in hand determined to get this right.

The master waited for her to ease her mourning and looked at her in the far corner of the room.His body heaving with exhaustion.At least mark weared him down maybe she had a chance.

Maria:come on you asshole..you want it come get it.....

With that the master charged after her she closed her eyes as she felt a hit to her head.Opened her eyes to see blood...but not her own the master stood on the floor beside her changing back..But not to rise again for the metal pole stuck out through his head.

Maria got up and walked over to the double doors.As she approached them she felt a pain in her abdomen....she looked down to see blood gushing out...

She turned around to see a beautiful blue eyed girl

Maria:who ...are you..

The girl smile

She laughed as maria collapsed to the floor.She closed her eyes and saw a white light and marks out stretched hand.

Maria:no more pain.

maria whispered to herself as she went up.

Maria:no more pain......
