Unintitled (Chapter 1)

1

She was on the verge of being 17 and she had never been kissed. She had always been too scared. So she always hid within the shadows hoping to no be noticed but then at the same time she hoped someone would finally notice her. She was lonely, she wished she had someone that she could love and that would return her love.2

It was a bright sunny day, the birds calling softly to one another. It was not a day meant for homework and lectures, Janie thought as the van pulled up to the entrance of the high school library. "Bye dad!" Janie called to her father as he drove off.  "I should have stayed home today", she grumbled to herself as she entered the building. I will---"Hey" an unfamiliar voice called out, a voice that she would soon never be able to get out of her head. Janie looked over her shoulder to see a group of guys looking her way but then she quickly looked away, embarrassed. They were probably laughing at her. Maybe she had something on her face or something stuck to her shoe? "Hey" the voice called again, louder this time. She looked back again, to see a pair of blue eyes staring back at her. "Hey" she replied back hurriedly, as she could feel herself blushing furiously. Wow she thought as she opened the door to the main library, I am such an idiot, why do I get embarrassed over such silly things? 3

Finally, lunch time, Janie smiled as the bell rang loudly over her head.4

She gathered up her books and proceeded to the cafeteria. "Hey" a male voice called. Janie looked in the direction of the voice, glad to see it was not the same one as before but then she noticed the guy was from the group she saw earlier that morning. Embarrassed she tentatively walked over to him and his friends. "What do you think about that guy in the library?" he asked. Which guy Janie asked, confused. "The one with the red hair and the glasses, Brad the guy answered. “Well, I don't really know him" she replied. Truthfully he didn't do anything for her. She just wanted to be nice, knowing that this guy with the red hair and glasses, Brad, probably got this guy to ask me this because he was interested. In a way she hoped hoped Brad was interested but she also hoped he wasn't because eh was definitely not interested. "Okay the guy answered, I guess I will let you go eat." Hmm, that was interesting she thought to herself as she entered the cafeteria. I have never even seen this guy Brad before until today and now everyone is talking about him.5

She quickly forgot all about Brad as her friends rushed over to her and started to fill her in on all the days’ happenings. 6

Everyday from that day on, it became a routine, Brad would say hi and she would say hi in return. That was the only word ever spoken between them until about two weeks later.  7

"Hey, don't walk do fast" "she turned around startled to see a pair of beautiful blue eyes gazing back into hers.  "Oh hey, Brad she replied, feeling her face getting redder and redder by the second.”Why do you walk so fast anyway?" I don’t know she answered, walking even faster. "Your friends with Jess aren't you? She asked him looking at him out of the corner of her eye. (She had talked to jess about him the day before)"Yeah" he answered as we both headed in different directions. 8

Later that weekend as Janie was online and instant message pops up under a screen name she did not know. Brad was the first name to pop into her head. She asked and it was him! She couldn't contain the laughter that bubbled up within. She only chatted with him for a minute because she did not know what to say and from that day on it was a daily ritual for them to chat with each other online. Later that night as Janie drifted off to sleep thoughts of Brad passed through her closed eyelids, never knowing exactly how many more times he would pass behind her closed eyes. She awoke the next morning to her dad screaming her name. Looking at the clock, Janie scrambled out of bed and hurriedly threw on her clothes and quickly applied her make up. Oh my lordy, Oh my lordy, I am going to be late she thought I am going to be late. Nearly breaking her ankle as she rushed out the door to the van she hurried her father to go. Eager to see Brad she hurried inside, only to be disappointed by her tardiness. So Janie found excuses to walk past his classroom just so she could catch glimpses of him. (This was next to the library where she was the aide) Later on that day she asked her friend Jess about him. "Oh no I asked him and he said he only wanted to be friends" she answered "Oh I replied trying not to show how disappointed I was. (She didn't know yet that I was interested in him)Hmm, I thought, maybe he only told her that because he knows she and I are close and he was embarrassed. This thought sparked some hope within me. Then I realized what was happening. I was starting to fall for this beautiful blue eyed boy. 9

It is nice to be able to read this story rather than HEAR it. haha. It gives me a different point of view. Speaking of pov's, you changed yours. It'd probably be easier for you to write "I" and "me" rather than "She" and "her." Blue Eyed Boy sounds good to me... go for it.

Yes, like Yutina said, you do have some work to do on the grammar, but other than that, it is a great start! Can't wait to see what else happens!
