To The People Of Earth

In these past few years, since making first contact, our peoples have enjoyed the fruits of peace, cultural interchange and economic trade. But it is with great misgiving that King Yooh must tell you that the very fabric of the civilisation of the Trood people is teetering on the brink of total collapse. The only solution that King Yooh can see is to sever all contact between our peoples. It may be possible that we can meet again in the future, but we will need to be more careful in our interactions if such a time ever comes. King Yooh sanctioned communication with your people in the belief that a less advanced race could never endanger our own species; King Yooh was mistaken. The leisure interests of humans are sophisticated in comparison to those of we Trood and the ever escalating importation of console games has, while causing a short-lived economic boom on Earth, gone too far. No human has ever visited Troodspa, so you may be unaware of the much lower population density than humans enjoy on Earth. As a result, the console games are now more numerous than our total population. In short, the reason for these drastic measures is: Yooh can’t see the Trood for the Wiis.1

A very unusual variation of 'you can't see the forest for the trees' - and the story leading up to this revelation is rather different.

Ahhh yes. When I wrote this I forgot that Americans use "forest" instead of "wood" in this saying. Thanks for the fun contest.
