Sod it!!

I want to rant about writing. It seems to me that every time I get a review or comment from another aspiring writer they are over critical and sometimes don't even make sense! I appreciate all comments whether good or bad, and personaly look forward to the bad, if they can point out to me precisely where I have gone wrong and maybe give me a hint at what can be done to improve it.1

The thing that really winds me up is when people say "You describe too much" or "some of your sentences don't make sense" Well then bloody point out to me where I'm going wrong! Instead of just making vague refrences that could be applied to any piece of writing in general!2

What I personaly belive people (at least some) do is not read the story for what it is, a story. Instead they are combing through for mistakes, and are trying so hard looking for things to criticize that they therefor don't become immersed in the story, as they would a new book which they had bought from the shop.3

Another thing, some people just don't know what they are talking about. I hate those people who try to point something out to me that they feel is wrong, when I know perfectly well that it is not! And it's the way they go about it. They don't say "In my opinion I don't think this should be written like this" no, what they say is, "Thats wrong and it makes no sense." Well bugger you!!4

    I found some grammar and spelling mistakes. Uhh...what were you writing about?

    Your totaly right with this rant. We all have this kind of comments, I guess we have to get used to it.

    beginning: 4, language: 4, plot: 4, ending: 4, dialog: 4, characters: 4.

    Wow. That's a good opinion. I so agree. Sometimes I get comments like that, like it's a competition to see who can criticize a story to death. I love this piece, simple, and to the point. How can somebody describe to much? Is that bad? Only a lazy person would say that.

    Sentences don't make sense? well I think that's kind of making them look stupid...a wise person can find symbolism everywhere.

    I loved reading it, VERY good job. Love it, good luck.

    nice rant style. And while the person may only be able to give u a general idea or an example of one. Sometime because of the length of your story, unless they start reading with the intention of criticizing, they would have to scroll ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the way up in order to find an example or another example to u....which brings me to one thing I wish I could rant about....the fact that storywrite only allows those with gold and silver membership to post in lists. Which means people usually post these long as tail things that should be in chapters but they are not cause they...I think you get the picture...but that is a good your ranted started another rant. AS IT SHOULD!
