Shadow of the Gods -Chapter one-

The night surrounded her as she looked over the black waters of the ocean. Her long time home was going to be taken from her and she could do nothing to stop it.1

"Are you really going to leave sister?" A silvery voice said from behind the woman.2

She turned and looked at her sister her blue silver eyes glittering through the darkness as she started at her beloved sister.3

"If he deems that I must leave then I will." She replied turning her back to the ocean. Her voice was cool and smoky.4

"He can't do this Blair. He can't." Her sister said moving to stand in front of her.5

Blair's cold eyes softed for a moment before returning to their cold stare her long silver hair whipping around her face.6

"Zeus is king. Unless Cronos can come back from Earth and kill him I can do nothing to stop the king from sentencing me to banishment. You are to not attend the cerimony to day. Do I make myself clear?" Blair asked her sister.7

Her sister looked back her dark green eyes clear. "Crystal."8

Blair nodded and picked up her sheild her black cape whisking around her ankles. She stood and looked back at the ocean before tuning to walk to the temple of Zeus leaving her sister behind.9

Blair walked her head held high. She would not back down from what she did. If Zeus wanted to be an ass for wanting the Dream Dancers dead then fuck it all to Hades.10

The dirt path became white marble under her black boots. The golden temple ahead of her towered into the sky. The walls glittered as the moon cast its rays of light onto the towers. Blair walked up the white marble stairs her blue silver eyes cold taking on the look of a killer.11

Zeus sat on his throne a cocky look on his smug face. Hera sat beside him her fiery red hair flowing around her as she watched her husband and the other gods and goddesses.12

Blair pulled her spear off of her back as she walked into the throne room and threw the long bladed piece of wood. There was loud "ting" as the blade sank into the golden wall next to Zeus' head.13

The god king looked up his golden eyes a light with fury until he saw that it was Blair. The hall went silent as she walked towards the god king's throne.14

Blair tossed her sheild to the side pulling her quiver and bow from her back tossing it down to the marble floor. Her cape came off next along with her black breast plated armor. Her gauntlets were tossed to the ground as she walked closer to the god king and his wife.15

Blair stopped at the bottom of the stairs standing in her black boots, black pants, and a black tunic shirt. Her emotionless eyes gave nothing away from what she felt.16

"Blair Titan of Shadows you have come here for punishment against me." Zeus said.17

"I have and I would do it all over again." She said her normally cool tone icy.18

Zeus roared and jumped from his throne slaming the golden chair into the wall. He grabbed Blair throwing her to the ground.19

Blair slid back on her side her silver hair covering her face from the god king. Zeus grabbed her by her hair and dragged her to her feet forcing her to stand. Blair looked at the god king her blue silver gaze cold and emotionless.20

Zeus threw her back away from him his lips curling into a snarl of disgust. Blair stood up her face emotionless as she looked at him. Zeus roared and threw a thunderbolt at her catching her in her side blood splattering across the marble floor.21

Blair spun to the side as another bolt hit her in her right shoulder throwing her to the ground. Zeus moved stalking over to the fallen titain slamming his foot against her chest.22

"Fight titain." He commanded.23

Blair looked up at him. "No."24

Zeus roared the sound reverberating off the walls of the tower. Four bolts of lightning slammed into Blair's arms and legs pinning her to the marble floor.25

"Will anyone ask for this piece of dirt's life?" Zeus yelled at the gods and goddesses.26

"They do not have to ask for I did what I chose to do." Blair said.27

Zeus back handed her making her taste blood. "Be silent you worthless dog."28

"I will not be silent." Blair said every word dripping with defience.29

Zeus formed a bolt in his hand his eyes dark with anger and fury. Swinging the bolt down he hit her left eye slicing it open. Blair yelled as blood shot from her eye.30

Pain like never before hit Blair like a fist to the gut. Her eye was on fire the made the whole left side of her body numb. She pulled against the bolts holding her down making her bleed faster.31

Zeus pulled Blair up ripping her off the bolts his face a smug smirk again. He tossed her to the ground making her slide back leaving a crimson trail.32

"You're banished to earth to live the rest of your miserable immortal life without your powers." Zeus said.33

Blair placed a hand to her eye that was already healing. A immortal life but as a human because she showed compassion to a baby. Blair got to her feet and walked out of the hall leaving the only life she had ever known behind her.34

Faith scowled at Kratos. The Ghost of Sparta wasn't all that in a sence. His white skin was whiter than what normal people have but it was a good thing he dressed as a gothic most of the time.35

"Come on Faith we don't have all day to just wait around for you." Kratos said his amber colored eyes flashing with annoyance.36

"Can it you old bag of bones or I'll slit your throat and make all your dust come out." Faith said pushing her dark brown hair over her shoulder.37

They had been walking around New York all morning and into the early afternoon trying to find the Titain of Shadows. Kratos had a inside sorce that said the the titain was in New York. So far all they had to show for their hard work was some sweat.38

Faith looked up at the sky. The summer sun was blazing down on them. She was going to have a talk with Apollo after this was over. She shook her head as she followed the Spartain her light green eyes looking around for any sign of the titain.39

Kratos stopped his face becoming a mask. In a dine out bar a woman stood behind the bar filling a glass of beer for a man.40

Her once waist length silver hair was now black with strips of her normal silver hair in it and up to the middle of her back pulled into a high ponytail. Her once blue silver eyes was now a black right eye and a blind white left eye a scar running down the middle of the eye from the top of her eyebrow to the bottom of her cheek bone.41

Faith blinked her mouth opening slightly. There was a black silvery aura around the woman that made her look other worldly as if she was human but more than just human.42

Kratos held out an arm holding Faith back. Faith blinked and looked at the Spartain. She hadn't known that she had moved until he had put his arm out to stop her from getting closer.43

"I'll talk to the titain you stay here." He said.44

Faith nodded and moved to lean back against a signal pole. She watched as Kratos walked over to the bar and speek to the woman.45

"Tatain." Kratos said to the woman when he reached the bar.46

The woman looked at him her eyes becoming icy cold. The man next to Kratos looked at him like he was stupid.47

"Man Kai don't ever talk to anyone." He said.48

Kratos popped his fingers pushing for calm before speeking again. "Tatain Zeus sent me to get you and bring you back with full pardon."49

Kai turned from him picking up a glass and a towel to dry it with. Kratos felt the muscle in his jaw start to twitch. Giving up he yelled at her in ancient greek.50

"Tatain of Shadows you will take up your arms again and fight for Zeus!" He yelled.51

Kai whipped around so fast it would have gave a normal person triple whiplash. Her eyes were colder than before as she started at him before answering back in greek.52

"I do not have to take up my arms again Ghost of Sparta." She said her voice still cool and smoky as if she had always used it everyday instead of not speeking since she had been banished.53

The man next to Kratos looked at Kai in shock before getting up and running to a waitress. Kratos growled.54

"You do not belong here Blair." He said.55

Kai turned and kept her back to him until he left storming out muttering foul curses at her and at many other things.56

"Is she coming back with us?" Faith asked watching Kai work. There was something graceful about how she moved around the bar to serve some of the people.57

"No the pain in the ass isn't coming back with us." He said.58

"Go back and tell Zeus that we need more time. I'll stay here and keep an eye on her." Faith said.59

"Fine but if I don't come back you better get your ass back to the temple." Kratos said before disappearing into thin air.60

Kai closed the bar like normal putting the keys into her jeans pocket before walking down to the little grocery store down the road to get a BLT and a book. She paid for the food and book leaving without talking to anyone.61

She made her way to her appartment building. Opening the door she walked into the shabby room. It was no bigger than a 18 by 18 bedroom paint pealing from the walls. In place of a bed was a small pallet where there was one pillow.62

Kai sat down on the pallet and started to eat her dinner. Finishing the sandwich she tossed the plastic away grabbing her book.63

She sat reading until her eyes started to close. Setting the book down she laid down on the pallet pulling the dagger out from under her pillow.64

"Try not to mess up the book this time." She said to the ceiling before closing her eyes.65

Faith stood in the bedroom of the tatain. She watched Kai as she slept taking in all the details of the titain.66

The scar over her eye would have made most people turn and whisper or stare at her. Faith for some reason wanted to touch the scar. To feel the skin under her fingers.67

There was a few tattoos around her wrists and ankles where the thunderbolts had went through her. The tattoos covered the scars making it look like it was part of the pattern.68

Faith turned her head as something moved on the astral plain. She disappeared not wanting to be caught in anything that she shouldn't have been in.
