Reflections on Matters of Everyday Life

Coincidence1

Today I had one of those moments. You know those random coincidences? Such as learning the definition of a word you have never heard before, and then having someone use it in a general conversation the next day. They jump out at you and make you take a double take, and for that one second anything is possible and nothing makes sense…Then back to reality. 2

Meaningless obsession3

I have been obsessed with this kids TV show called Jeopardy for years now. It is played once every few years and this time I have been watching the episodes every afternoon for months. Obsessed with two characters Simon and Chrissie I began to pretty much re-write every scene to include them. Today I watched the last episode of the series. You cant get the series on DVD, you cant download it, you cant even find a webpage for it. And yet there are hundreds of enquiries all over the internet from people, just like me, who want another series, or to buy it or download it. I just couldn’t understand why it wasn’t put on DVD until I reflected on it all. The fact is that the series sits between two very definitive lines. That of the imagination and that of a teenager love story. Those sensible people out there who weren’t watching jeopardy, who even scorned it, were those either too young or too old to be wrapped up in the characters adventure. In the end I realized it was just a shallow TV show with poor graphics that had managed to capture my heart, mind and attention. I accept it, I admit it, but I would never take back one second of my obsession for it, for they were truly happy. 4

The dangers of music5

Have you ever listened to a song on a rainy day that just made you understand why the heart is related to emotion? You feel as if you have just discovered the meaning of life, and yet at the same time like you have discovered nothing at all and the music pumping through your bones is going to cause your death unless it stops, yet at the same time like you could not live without it.6

Give up7

Being a teenager…stressful. I have no idea what I want, why I want it or even why I care, and im blaming it all on hormones. Sometimes you feel like you just want to give up: give up what? Im not sure; life perhaps…or perhaps not.8

Once again nice thoughts! Very philisophical. Only thing you might want to fix is in Paragraph(4) there are a few times when you foreget the ' in can't.
