Adventures of Trixie the Pesky
Mouse. Trixie wants to travel to
Ireland on time to kiss the
Blarney Stone for St. Patrick’s
Day.1

Well my dear friend’s I have another funny chapter of you’re favourite little
Mouse, Trixie the Pesky Mouse.
This time she’s headed off to Ireland to kiss the famous Blarney Stone at Cork Castle.
She has to hurry because St. Patrick’s Day is next Tuesday.
So she order’s her plane ticket and calls her cousin Maxie the big city mouse and asks her to go along.3

Because we all know it’s not safe for a young mouse to travel by herself.
Maxie said yes of course in a flash, she was one mouse always ready for an
Exciting adventure.
Well they headed for the Pearson International Airport at Toronto, as fast as their little mouse legs would carry them.
They made it on time to catch the very last plane to Dublin Ireland before
St. Patrick’s Day.
They enjoyed their flight immensely, and had a lovely rest and so when they arrived in Dublin they were already to head off to County Cork to see the famous Blarney Stone in person.
Did you know that over 200,000 people travel to Cork County every year to kiss this famous stone.

“ Did you also know, ” the tour guide went on to say, “ That the Blarney castle is over 600 years old.”
“ Wow ! ” Trixie and Maxie sighed at the same time.
The castle was said to have been started in AD 1210, built by Kormac
Mccathy the King of Munster, the lower walls are 15 feet thick.
The King was said to have supplied some 4,000 men in the battle of
Banockburn in 1314 and the King gave half of “The Stone of Scone ! ” to McCarthy in gratitude.
This stone is know called “The Blarney Stone, was incorporated into the battlements where it is now kissed.6

“ There have been plenty of famous visitors, ” the tour guide went on to say.
“ Mick Jagger was one of the most famous guest’s we have ever had. ”
“ As well Prime Minister Winston Churchill. ”
“ The funniest visitor’s we ever had was that famous comedy team of Laurel and Hardy. ”
And at that note every one on the tour clapped .
“ I can’t wait to kiss it . ” Trixie said to Maxie.
“ It’s supposed to make you an eloquent speaker. ” The tour guide went on to say.
“ Ok now folks, ” she said out loudly.
“ Now this is what you have to do. ”8

“ You have to bend over backwards and then you have to reach over and kiss the stone. ”
“ Lean over backwards,” Trixie moaned to Maxie. “ I can’t do that, I’ll throw up. ”
Well Maxie and everyone on the tour laughed right out loud.
“ No you won’t, ” Said Maxie confidently.
So now it was Trixie’s turn to be lowered into the pit.
She started gagging right away, and then remembered a poem from her grade school days.
Abd she leaned over, upside down and planted a big kiss on the famous stone.
Maxie went next, She didn’t have any trouble of courses
