Pet Peeves Poem

I hate noises in the night,1

I hate jumping up in fright. 2

I hate people who don't care,3

And those who are never there. 4

I hate waking from a deep sleep,5

I hate promises you don't intend to keep.6

I hate snow and I hate sleet,7

And songs that have no discernable beat. 8

Sirens interrupting the evening peace,9

And when all conversation does just randomly cease.10

Stupid questions annoy me,11

And glasses fogging up.12

And guys who think they're gangsta' and ask you "WAZZUP?!"13

Crowded buses don't improve my mood,14

As well as people who are lewd.15

Racist jokes don't make me laugh16

And sometimes I just can't stand math.17

Random gum under a desk,18

Makes me feel very grotesque.19

When people smack me on the butt,20

I want to punch them in the gut.21

Dogs barking without stop22

Makes my eardrums want to pop.23

Pointless questions and hard tests,24

Uneven sidewalks and stupid jests.25

All the things I don't enjoy. 26

That's a lot. Boy oh boy.

    Kudos on the rhyme :D

    I think the rhyme makes the content of this piece lighter and still, I understand your pain. I share your views on some of them (gahd, crowded trains and buses make me feel molested... even if I'm riding on the all-girls section x.x)

    Curious though, what kind of stupid questions? I particularly detest the "Has the train arrived?" question... since, duh, I won't be here if it arrived. and a lot more, hahaha

    I thought this was really good. I enjoyed reading it, and it fit the contest prompt well, I think. Nice job.
