I wrote this poem for class and it is about the Dafurian Genocide and the Holocaust. I had to put myself in a different persons shoes and take a peek at what was happening. The poem is confusing becuase there are supposed to be different fonts for different people's perspectives but I can't get different fonts so here is a key for it.
* (star symbol) is a victim of the Holocaust
~ (squigly line) is a victim of the Darfurian Genocide
< (arrow pointing left) both victims speaking together

~Storming villages 5
*Baring that red symbol
~Riding those dark horses 6
*To them, we weren't human
~We were nothing to them 7
*Soon we were taken away
~Destruction rose in the village 8
*We were sent to camps to work
~We waited for them to find us 9

I know that I write a lot about this kind of stuff but it's kind of hard not to think about it when I take a class about it for an hour and a half every day. I am very touched by it, I can't not think about it. Everyday I learn about someone knew who had died or is dying. Every thing I learn is terrifying, horrible, and unimaginably disgusting because these people are dying because of people just like them who are torturing and killing them. So if you read this please learn something about hatred and how far it can extend.
