Every Time I Turn Around Part VI

Dang it. How could I have said yes? I sit in the library (5th period study hall) and contemplate what I'm going to do. What AM I going to do? 1

'Psst...'2

Huh? I know virtually no one in study hall...who would be talking to me? 3

'It's me, Michael.'4

Oh no, I haven't had enough time to think about this! No, please, not now... 5

'Hey Michael.'6

He puts his hand close to mine and lets our pinkies brush against each other.7

'What do you say we head over to the book stacks and...' 8

Oh My Gosh, is he implying what I think he is??? 9

'Michael, I...have an exam next period and I...have to study.' 10

'Oh, shy are we? Well I have to get back to class anyway, but I'll see you after school right?'11

'I guess...'12

Um, I think he winked at me...13

'Catcha later, Sand.'14

Sand. Sand. He called me Sand. I don't want a nickname from a stalker. And if I get a nickname from anyone, friends, family, random strangers, it is NOT going to be Sand. I refuse to be associated with crushed rocks.15

'Bye, Michael.' What, was he hoping for a nickname too? Mikey? I don't think so. Nicknames are a sign of affection. I will not show affection to someone who watches my every move. Especially not him. 16

He walks backwards out of the room, staring at me. I don't like where this is going. And I know I'm not going to like where it's going this afternoon. But at least my 'study' excuse bought me enough time to think this over. I would go to an adult, but that would be so juvenile. I guess I could ask Tara, but what could she do to help? Gosh, I am in over my head. This needs thought.17

Hehe This is getting good, I like the fact that you're using Sandi's personality in the story, you really get a feel of her character. I hope to read more
