sex in YA novels.

First off, let me say I like your contest. It gives a place for people to voice their opinion on this subject.1

In my opinion, sex is important in books. Especially Young-adult novels. I, myself read a lot of YA novels, and sex often play a key role in many of these books. There are many reasons I believe Sex is important to have in YA books.2

In this day and age most people lose their virginty in their teen years. I think it's important for these books to portray the expirence, how some people handle it, and other elements.
