I like dreams.1

Last night I had a dream that my best friend lived with me in college and we just found out that we get to go on a trip to Costa Rica. We do the craziest celebration dance. My friend (who my best friend is not friends with) is taking us and she's going to pay for everything. We dance the celebration dance again. We get to fly there on personal airplanes (that resemble remote controlled paper airplanes). Cue the celebration dance. We have a fun time and return to our house to find out that another friend (and really hot, friendly guys) have moved in above us. One more celebration dance and then I wake up.2

This dream was so interesting that I actually found my phone somewhere in my bed and tried to type whatever I could remember into the new message box before I feel back asleep and forgot. Let me tell you the where this dream came from.3

In June, a different best friend and I found out we got to go on a trip to Cabo. We have been living together for about a year. Our friend did, in fact, pay for the trip but we flew there like anyone else, Alaska Air. We did have a fun time but when we returned, the good-looking guys above us still weren't friendly or fun.4

Notice that in real life there are no celebration dances.5

My dream made even the slightest thing going wrong in my life amazing. I lived with my fun best friend. We were vacationing again and this time we got to go somewhere even better. Even the airplane ride, which always makes me anxious even though I do it a lot, was fun. I used to date a guy who lived upstairs, he moved away and any tie we had to the guys was gone. They used to be our friends and now, we barely know them. 6

Dreams are so interesting because they play up on important things in your life. In this specific case, bad things are turned great. Sometimes bad things are over exaggerated to represent worst-case scenarios. It is believed that while sleeping, with nothing to do, dreams are creations of different situations to test the brain by the brain. My dream last night was such like a quiz for first-graders.7

However, after seeing my dream on paper, I can clearly see the problems in my life. While this may make being awake a little worse, I now know what I need to fix to be happier in my life. I realize that I need to aceept things that only my dreams can fix. My roommate is my roommate. I'm not on vacation, I'm in school so I need to be in school. Airplanes are a little scary, I said it, but they're sometimes the only choice and thats ok. My neighbors are not awesome, I'll just have to find people who are awesome. It may be a lot of work to change all that, but I'm up for the challenge.8

What are your dreams trying to tell you? 9

I propose to everyone to write down your dreams (or what you can remember) and analyze them. They might be more important than just a brain's sleeping game.
