I like the simile there. The faithful to return part really made me smile. I like that kind of love. One I can trust to return. I only wish it didn't have to leave in the meantime!

I do like this a great deal as I really enjoy symbolic word usage and you are correct in that the feeling of love can be much like an ocean tide. Never having a first love...yet? You have much pleasure in store then.
