Trail of Dead (Ch. 1)

Nothing much happens here in Hawthorne, Texas. Texas is so big that Hawthorne isn't even big enough to appear on the map. The only way you'ld even end up here is if you got extremely lost. But that's not likey because Hawthorne is far, far away from any main roads. The people of Hawthorne are dull, hard working people. Almost every family farms for a living since no one knows to build a factory in Hawthorne. The town is like a prison for it's young. Who like to stir up trouble from time to time, but never enough trouble for any of the adults to care.1

Allie Shelby was just another teenage girl trapped in Hawthorne. She always dreamed of getting out. She couldn't wait untill she was 18 and could get out of this town. Allie wasn't special by any means. So she strained to make herself different using her appearance. She wore heavy make-up and bright clothes, but Allie was a nice girl so she got along with everyone fairly well.2

Everyone was shocked when Allie went missing. The whole town searched for days, untill her car was found a the bottom of a nearby river. Her body was never found, but everyone just figured it had been long since washed away. But when Allie's mother found a suicide note a couple days later, things started going wrong.3
