The Doctor wonders around in the cell pacing and thinking. Bob looks on also deep in thought as he snaps out of his deep thought; he looks directly at the Doctor. “Doctor, do you mind? You’re making me dizzy by walking around in circles.” The Doctor looks at Bob and stops walking in a circle and starts to walk in a square. “You know that doesn’t help either.” 1
“Fine Bob, what do you suggest I do sit down and think that just will not do? A Timelord has to think on his feet always ready for the next moment. 2
Bob looks out of the cell and notices no one’s has checked up on them for quite awhile. “You know Doctor, I think they really don’t think that we can escape. I haven’t seen a guard for quite some time.”3
“Bob, I know that.” The Doctor replied with an all knowing look.4
“So you have a plan to get us out of here?” Bob asked with a smile on his face.5
“Don’t I always.” The Doctor said.6
(Doctor Who Theme plays with the Title “The Day of the Frozen Empire”)7
Istar proud that he had finally captured the Doctor; there would be no meddling this time for sure he thought. “My armies of Ice come to your leader. For without me you would have no purpose.”
The Ice Warriors hear the cry of Istar and throughout the village they moved in unison to their leader. Each step they climbed up was a step closer to Istar, and he cried out again. “My armies of Ice come to your leader.” Soon all the Ice Warriors were circling Istar, and standing awaiting orders. 8
“The time has come Triskiliatians, to make this village your new home. Freeze every last person on the streets. Freeze them all.” Istar laughed with an evil laugh. With that final word the Triskiliatians went off to freeze the villagers. “Once those blasted icicles freeze every last villager I’ll begin the second phase, to turn this rock into an ice state and rule over all.”9
***
The Doctor hinted to Bob that he was ready. Bob collapsed in the cell, the Doctor yelled out for a guard. “Triskiliatian, come quickly this man’s needs urgent care quickly.” The Triskiliatian made his way to the cell not really knowing what to do. 10
“What do you need?” The Triskiliatian asked.11
“Remember that device you took from me, well I need it so I can see what’s wrong with him. If I don’t act soon he’ll die, and if I’m not mistaken Istar your leader wants us alive.” The Doctor said without missing a word.12
The Triskiliatian did as he was asked, he didn’t want to be punished by Istar. He knew if he failed to keep the Doctor and his friend alive, he would be melted into oblivion. The Triskiliatan grabed the sonic screwdriver, and then handed it to the Doctor. 13
“Thank you my friend,” The Doctor said as he pretended to scan Bob with the sonic screwdriver. As he did the Triskiliatan walked away and mulled over what the meaning of friend was. “You can get up now Bob, he’s gone” said the Doctor as he went to work on the lock to their cell.14
“I really can’t believe that old play sick gag worked.” Bob said with a shocked speech.15
“It may be well played out on earth, but you have to remember over 90% of the universe doesn’t know that gag.” As the Doctor said that the lock popped open and they made their way up to the surface. “Now careful Bob, it’s very slippery one step and you really might need me.”16
“Right, Doctor but why we going back to the surface for?” Bob asked, “Shouldn’t we be trying to escape from this dreadful place?”
“Bob I can’t let these people die and more importantly I can’t let Istar remain loose. You have your TARDIS key you can go back there if you really think you can fight off Triskiliatan Warriors all the way to the gate.”17
“Well since you put it that way I think I’ll take my chances with you Doctor.” Bob said as he realized there would be no way he could leave without the Doctor. Bob and the Doctor finally made it to the surface after what seemed to be miles of ice and cold. 18
The Doctor used his sonic screwdriver on the last of the doors, and peaked out into the world that they had left. He saw the villagers being frozen one at a time by the armies of Triskiliatan. Those that fought back were frozen then a limb was chopped off in order to show that if you refused to be frozen you would be at their mercy.19
“Istar’s idea no doubt, these people don’t stand a chance in this weather. If only I could warm it up somehow. Brilliant!!!!....”
“What’s brilliant Doctor?” Bob asked as he saw the Doctor running to the nearest Triskiliatan.20
“I don’t have time to explain right now Bob we don’t have much time to waste the lives of these villagers are at stake.” The Doctor finally reached one of the Triskiliatan who happened to be the one that had allowed them to reach freedom from the cells below. “Ah it’s my good ole friend. Say you don’t have to happen to have a name do you?”21
“My name?” The Triskiliatan asked puzzling. Then it was more concerned with how the Doctor had gotten out of the Cell. “You are not to be here you be in cell.” 22
“Ah, but it was too cramped and filthy not my style at all. Couldn’t stand it, and I wanted to be near you my friend.”23
“What is this friend you refer to,” asked the Triskiliatan?24
“Let me see if I can explain it in terms you will understand. Ah, I got it. A friend is a person that helps the other and never leaves them in a helpless situation.” The Doctor hoped that his wording would sink through to the Triskiliatan.25
“You help Triskiliatans?” He asked as he looked to the Doctor with an odd look.26
“Yes, both Bob and I will help you.” The Doctor replied. 27
Bob replied yes too to help with the conversation.28
“We want world so we live in peace we no want death.” The Triskiliatan said.29
“I know just the place for you and your people if you will help me, but it may get a little hot, you just have to make it work for you and your people.” 30
“I will help my friend Doctor and Bob.” He replied.
The Doctor explained his plan. “Here’s what you do. Tell your people that Bob, and I will locate you to a world all your own in your offer to help us against Istar. You will take just me to Istar, and your people will stop attacking these villagers.” 31
The Triskiliatan did as he was asked to help the Doctor. Bob was left with another Triskiliatan who made sure he was safe. Soon the Doctor and the Triskiliatan were in the presence of Istar once more. “Doctor escape from Cell, I caught him.” He said not knowing what exactly the Doctor would do.
Istar looked at the Doctor. “Now why did you have to go and escape for? Didn’t you learn that my Ice Warriors would just bring you to me?”32
The Doctor looked at Istar, “One Final chance Istar, I will take you to another planet with the Triskiliatan to live peacefully and you never return to Kystar or any other planet.”
“Now why would I do that when this planet is full of minerals and tools to build my empire?” Istar replied. 33
“So I take that you will not take me up on my offer?” The Doctor asked.34
“No, Doctor you would send me to that awful dimension again, and that’s something I will not return to.” Istar said with a cold tongue.35
“Just remember I gave you a chance Istar.” The Doctor took his sonic screwdriver out of his pocket and twisted it and it was tied into the TARDIS to home in on his signal. The TARDIS appeared in an instance.36
Istar commanded the Triskiliatan to stop him but the Ice Warrior stood still. Dumbfounded Istar ran to try to stop the Doctor from using the TARDIS to stop him. The Triskiliatan stood in his path as the Doctor entered the Tardis. He pushed a few buttons on the console of the TARDIS, “This should heat things up a bit.” The Doctor said. “Tell your people to ready themselves for transport.” The Triskiliatan did as he was told Istar stood behind a sheet of ice. The Doctor punched a few more buttons and the entire army of Triskiliatans were teleported to the TARDIS along with Istar who was still trapped behind the ice.37
The Doctor left the TARDIS, and went to get Bob who wasn’t too far from reach. “Ah Bob, great you’re here. Come on we have a trip to take.”38
“Doctor shouldn’t someone tell the people that everything will be ok now?” Bob asked. 39
“Alright Bob, you do that I’ll be back quicker then it will take you to say attention. The Doctor replied. As the Doctor got into the TARDIS and it was gone and back in what seemed like the same second he had left in the TARDIS.40
Bob had just gone to the village and started to talk to the villagers telling them that they were safe and that they would no longer have to worry about the Triskilitans. The Doctor came up behind him as he finished. “You ready Bob,” said the Doctor.41
“As ready as I’ll be Doctor, by the way where did you take them?”42
“I took them to the coldest planet I could think of that was just a bit out of the way.” The Doctor said.
Bob just looked on puzzled, “not sure I know where that is, what about Istar?” 43
I put him back into the dimension I banished him to. He had his chance to live peacefully with the Triskilitans, and he refused. 44
“Well that’s good then do you think he’ll get out?” Bob asked.45
“I have a bad feeling he’ll return and with the Triskiliatan on Pluto, there’s no chance for help from them.”46
All Bob could do was laugh when he heard that the planet the Triskilitan were on. The Doctor laughed with him.47

Good fanfic!
A good fanfic always captures the character's idiosyncracies which you did in abundance! At first it took me a minute or two to work out which Doctor you were writing about until I saw the dead give-away "brilliant". Excellent work!
