Traveler kids part 1 (screenplay)

(scene starts out in the back room of an abandoned house, wood flooring, white walls with scattered graffiti, and 1 window. Two 20 year old males are seen sitting on the Hardwood floor smoking methamphetamine. backpacks are scattered along with empty 40 oz beer bottles. the camera zooms into a shot of justin who is leaning in the corner of the room and is in the middle of taking a hit of methamphetamine from an oil burner. emphasis on the whistling noise that the pipe makes.)1

(Justin finishes hitting the pipe and slowly lets the smoke float out of his mouth. Looks awkwardly at Jacob as the pipe is passed. Camera focuses on Jacob's eyes as he begins his hit)2

(Justin's voice in the background): This is where it began, the journey of my life. In a fucking bank owned house with a bunch of tweaker's and some miserable fucking punks. A couple weeks earlier I was a complete role model. I had a legit job making legit money, (laughs nervously) which I still spent on Crystal shit, but fuck you, I was a tweaker back then. Anyways I lived at my parents house and went to a community college taking classes on how to be an arrogant know it all fuck. So yeah, before you start judging me and this lifestyle, remember, I was one of you.3

(Camera now focuses on Jacob puffing out the smoke slowly like Justin and handing the pipe to Justin. The camera now focuses on the actual pipe as it is being hit, emphasis is made on the motion of the pipe)4

(Justin's voice in the Background): Watch his pupils, pay close fucking attention to his pupils as I explain the rest. This story is about how I changed from being a regular blow job loving community college student to a dirty immoral panhandling shit stain annoying you as you walk out of a fast food joint or your favorite store begging for the change some overworked clerk just put into your lardy fat fucking hands. Just watch...5

(Justin blows out the smoke into the camera)6

Justin (looking to see if there is any more methamphetamine left in the pipe, laughing a little but talking a bit fast): Goddamn, we made that money in like an hour...7

Jacob: Fuck dude, I didn't expect to make a fucking dime with that line (pauses briefly, with a hint of anger) dude, there is nothing left, stop tweaking over the fucking pipe.8

Justin: (submissively) sorry... anyways I told you I made like 5 dollars the other day saying I was stranded and needed bus fare. Dude, Simon hooked us up for a dub, and this shit was fucking potent (Jacob laughs), my mind is going like a million miles an hour.9

Jacob: I told you I get the hook up, it's just a mission to go downtown to get it...10

Justin: Dude, we raped the fuck out of the pipe too, I hope we can make that kind of money tomorrow and get another dub.11

Jacob (a bit annoyed): dude, don't sound so fucking anxious, seriously, people wont want to smoke with you if you act like this...12

Justin: whatever dude, I'm going to tweak out over something, it's gonna be one boring fucking night.13

(screen says "3 days later")15

(Camera fades into a shot of Justin's bare dirty feet walking on a city street with a slight limp, camera backs up showing a full picture of Justin walking)16

Justin (in a urgent slightly drunk tone): fuck, fuck! So my friend Ashley thinks Jacob ripped her off, it all happened so fucking fast and now I'm all alone without shoes, walking to the house where all this shit went down. Fucking my friend Vulture punched Jacob after he heard this shit and honestly I think he didn't rip her off (pauses) and I choose to go with Jacob, I should have stayed, fuck! I have no clue what the fuck to do...17

(as Justin is walking a car rolls up a driveway and rolls down it's window)18

Driver: What the fuck happened to you? Do you need some help?19

Justin (in a tired and slurred voice): Nah dude, I'm fine but can I use your phone real quick?20

(2 people get out of the car and look at Justin)21

Driver (hesitantly): yeah sure, if you run I will fuck you up..22

Justin (a bit annoyed): Don't worry...23

(Justin dials the phone number, waits for two rings and begins talking)24

Justin: hey what up (pause) I don't know, all I remember is waking up and realizing I fucked up (pause) I'm on Magnolia and (pauses and looks at street sign) Tyler by the Valero (pauses) I'll be there waiting...25

(hands the phone back to the driver)26

Driver (without compassion): take care of yourself27

Justin (in a relieved voice): thank you so much...28

(camera fades out)29

(end scene)30

(Camera fades into a shot of Justin, Vulture, Ashley, Rags, and Faith sitting on a sidewalk in handcuffs. An officer is questioning Anthony. A wrecked car is in view plus 3 or 4 different Police cruisers)31
