A Doe is a Deer, and You Dont Look Like a Deer (Chapter 1)

The smell of pine and moist dirt filled Jane with a happiness she could'nt understand. As her bare feet pulled her deeper into the wooded emerald and antique gold wonderland she broke free of any apprehensive and fickle feelings. For years she had been attracted to the forest but been held back by cautious eyes. She had never understood why the town had always trekked through the harsh mountains to get to the sea, instead of through straight through the woods. It wasn't long before the sun set on Jane, leaving her blind, unable to find her way out.1

"I knew I should'nt of come." She crossed her arms as she stomped through bushes of thorns and ivy. "This is probably why they didn't want poor little Jane Doe out in the woods. They were probably afriad i'd get lost." She paused and placed her hands on her hips. "Im not lost! I know exactly where I am!" She nodded, confirming it with herself. "I am exactly between that tree there and this here bush." Her voice began to waver as she pressed forward where the tree's became larger and more tightly packed. Cursing under her breath, she gave up and sat down on the soft grass. With frustrated, frighted eyes she leaned back against an Oak and curled up for the rest of the night.
