Revenge of the Ino Chapter 4

“I can’t believe you two! Just one night out together and you’re kicked out because of a food fight. So much for self-control,” barked Ino as the filthy couple entered her dressing room. She gave the two a stare down.1

They took a seat on the couch that was facing Ino’s large chair where she sat angrily. Ino breathed slowly to calm herself; she couldn’t take the humiliation of knowing their misconduct would leave her show with a bad name. Temari came in soon after while Ino continued her de-stressing technique.2

“Dang! What happened to you two? Did you say something bad about ramen noodles and Naruto took on both of you with the food from a buffet? That’s a funny sight,” laughed Temari.3

“No, Neji was being immature and threw noodles at me,” replied Tenten with a ticked off, leave-me-alone kind of tone.4

“Ino told me to! She told me what to do and what to say and---”5

“I didn’t do such a thing. We did tell you to take a sip of the meat smoothie and say such things, but what baka told you to eat with your fingers? That’s gross,” protested Ino.6

“Wait a second...If Ino didn’t do it then who did,” questioned Neji. Silence was throughout the room.7

“Fine then! Ino, why don’t you tell us why you completely embarrassed us to all of Konoha and perhaps the whole world,” asked Tenten 8

“First of all, I just wanted both of you to realize that you liked each other. This was the only way to open your eyes to the truth. Second, the uncomfortable way of getting you two together, well, was simply my revenge against Tenten. You sent out that embarrassing picture of me to EVERYONE and---” began Ino.9

“You mean the one where you’re---” interrupted Neji.10

“Yes! That one! PLEASE don’t mention it,” snapped Ino. “Any way’s, you needed some...discipline for your stupid behavior."11

“What are you talking about? I didn’t do it, honestly. I even received the picture myself. Why would I send something to me that I sent out,” argued Tenten standing up.12

“To make yourself look innocent, that’s why.” Ino also stood. The girls would have jumped at each other resulting in a major “cat fight”, but Neji stepped in between the two.13

“Then who did it,” asked Ino in a mocking tone.14

“It was me. Both times,” confessed Temari. Awkward Silence.15

“WHAT?”16

“I came into the studio and no one was at the sound booth. So, I picked up the microphone and told Neji to fling noodles at her. I thought it would be funny, but who knew it would result in a food fight?”17

“I don’t care about the whole restaurant ordeal. Why did you send THAT picture of me,” demanded Ino. Ino stood with hands on hips right in front of Temari. 18

“You’re always bragging about how much Shikamaru “likes you” and I was highly annoyed. So, I took advice from Sakura who said you’d “die” if a humiliating picture of you was sent around. I guess she didn’t think I’d actually do it. I just blamed Tenten because she was the least likely person to do it.”19

Of course Ino, who in fact was a blonde, didn’t seem to be angry at Temari for sending the picture at the momment. She didn’t focus on it completely because something else was on her mind: “Of course Shikamaru likes me a lot. So, I just have to brag about it. Duh.”20

“Yeah right! Have you seen the way looks at me?”21

“That look of disgust? Oh sure. I’ve seen it plenty of times.” Tenten and Neji, who were rather bored since they were completely left out of the conversation, slipped out of the dressing room.22

“Take that back!” 23

“No!”24

“Don’t make me...”25

“What? Are you going to bring out your mighty fan of doom? Maybe you're going to mess up my hair with your windy powers?”26

“You’re so immature! He surely likes me more!”27

“Oh, OK. He’s on MY team. I would know of such things."28

“Why don’t you go ask him yourself?”29

“I think I will!” Ino took off out of the dressing room and on to the streets of Konoha; Temari was right behind her. They were lucky since his house wasn’t far. Of course the whole way they tripped one another, threw random objects they found at each other, and any possible way they could hinder the other person.30

They were abnormally quick and both shoved their way to the front door banging and abusing the door bell.31

“Shikamaru!!! Please open up! Temari thinks you like her more,” yelled Ino pounding hard on the door.32

“Open up and tell Ino that you like ME better,” shouted Temari who was now throwing pebbles at his bedroom’s window. 33

And so they continued to make a ruckus, yet it never even occurred to the two blondes that he wasn’t even home. Where was he then you might ask? Shikamaru was still at the studio, on the stage, snoozing peacefully on the floor. Earlier, he had been tilting in his chair with its front legs up, but the chair decided to stop standing. There he was on the floor not aware of two girls who were banging on his house.34

“Open up sweetie” yelled Ino.35

“Why are you still talking?”36

“I must have the last word!”37

“That’s not different at all! Anyway: SHIKA...”38

“Shut up! I must have the last word!!!”39

Now we’ll go back at the studio where Shikamaru is sleeping and Neji and Tenten are sitting outside on a bench. Nothing was really said between the two.40

“Do you want to go tepee Temari and Ino’s houses with toilet paper,” asked Neji standing.41

“Why not? They both deserve outwardly decorations for their houses and landscaping,” replied Tenten joining him.42

The two walked down the road hand- in- hand. Even though the night was crazy, here they were holding hands. Through the revenge of Ino a bit of romance blossomed. Somehow they owed the two blondes, but for now their houses would suffer. And so the two girls fought over Shikamaru who wasn’t even there and Neji and Tenten were finally together. For now.43
