The Club, Part 4.

Ben walked into the restaurant and sat down at his regualar table. Every Tuesday since his parents' death, he had met his sister here for coffee and dessert, usually around nine o'clock. They would get caught up on each others lives, and just enjoy being together.1

His sister walked in, wearing the only things that seemed to be a part of her wardrobe. A dipping red v-neck sat on her shoulders, the lacy part of her bra sticking out. Her jeans hugged her butt, not low enough that you could see anything, but just low enough that if they were pulled down at all, you could. Her brown hair flowed behind her shoulders, and her hip bones could be seen in the area between her shirt and pants. Her black leather boots went up to her knees, there five inch heels making her seem much taller than she was. Large silver hoops hung from her ears.2

"Julie" Ben's voice lingered, as if there was something else he wanted to say.3

"Yes?"4

"Do you have to dress like that? I don't want to argue with you, but..." As his voice faded away, Ben realized that the question was rhetorical.5

"But what, sweet brother?" Julie's voice filled with sarcasm, unsure what her brother was saying. They'd had this argument before, but never like this, never on Tuesday nights. Tuesday nights were special, almost sacred to her. They never argued on them.6

"Well, it's just that, that your dressing that way." Ben tried to spit out what he was saying. "It's, it's why I don't have a girlfriend anymore."7

"Really? How did that happen?"8

Ben flashed back to the night at the club. He had never told Anna that he had a sister, so it was natural for her to assume she was cheating on him. Although he didn't drink, Julie had spiked his juice, and he had drank it knowing that fact, leaving him with a buzz. When Anna asked if he had slept with Julie, he had said yes, for a reason he had yet to figure out. He hadn't been drunk enough to forget anything, so he shouldn't have been drunk enough to be unable to respond correctly. He was also clueless as to why he had said that he'd been cheating on her. It made no since, and while he hoped it was for the better, he also realized that he was still in love with her, and wanted to make amends. But, she wouldn't talk to him, so it was useless.9

"Ben, you gonna answer my question, or are you going to zone out for the rest of the night?"10

His sister's voice brought him back from the depths of his thoughts. "What were you saying?"11

"How did I cause you to lose your girlfriend?"12

"She thought I was cheating on her. With you."13

"Oh. Maybe you should have told her you had a sister."14

Suddenly, Ben's phone went off. His caller id told him it was Andra, one of Anna's best friends.15

"Hello?"16

"Ben, its Andra. You need to get to the hospital right away."17
