Rurouni Kenshin

Kenshin lays on his pillow coughing. But his eyes remain closed.1

Kaoru stares at Kenshin and thinks of how he had gotten so sick, after the battle 2

with Shishio.3

The worst part, Kaoru thinks, is that Megumi is in there with him.4

Yahiko looks thru the window with Kaoru and then speaks.5

"If he dies," he starts Kaoru looks to him with anger and slaps him.6

"He's not going to die!" She shouts as the tears flow down her face.7

"You don't know that! Megumi said he was getting sicker from using Hiten Mitsurugi Ryuu!"8

Yahiko argued.9

"I know," Kaoru sobs. "I know,"10

The next day...11

Megumi comes out wiping her hands and she smiles to everyone of Kenshins friends.12

"He will be just fine in a few days," She starts. "But," she frowns, and her eyes fill13

with sorrow.14

"He might not ever be able to use a sword again, not in his condition,"15

"What's his condition?" Kaoru asks.16

"It seems bad. The over useage of Hiten Mitsurugi Ryuu is making him weak. Any more and17

his immune system could give out, come see what it has done to his body," She starts18

to lower her voice.19

"Sir Ken, your friends are here, please try to open your eyes to see them," Megumi20

starts.21

Kenshin slightly moves and with his left eye shut, he partially opens his right eye.22

"Ah,it's nice to see you all. This one is very happy," Kenshin whispers.23

"Ken...shin," Kaoru starts as tears flow down her face.24

"Please, Kaoru don't cry. This one wishes to see you smile now, no crying, hai?" Kenshin25

asks with his special smile.26

"Hai, no crying," She says with a smile. With that Kenshin goes back to sleep, with a27

smile.28

"Megumi, his disease?" Yahiko asks.29

"Hai," She takes off his blankets to reveal his chest. Four streaks glowed a luminous blue.30

"Anymore useage, like I said before, that would go thru his veins and will cause him a31

slow and painful death," Megumi says as she places the blankets back over Kenshin, he moves.32

"So..." Kenshin says as his eyes are still closed.33

"I will die from anymore useage of swords?" He asks.34

"Hai, yes." Megumi starts.35

"Is there a cure?" Kenshin asks.36

"Hai," Megumi answers.37

"What is it?"38

"The bark from the black cherry wood tree, only found in Germany. Moon Ray Mountain Water,39

in Russia. And the Sakura Snake venom, in Thaiwan," She finishes.40

"I may know where the water and tree are, but the venom, I must ask someone from long ago,"41

Kenshin replies.42

"You will not be going any where in your current condition!" Megumi shouts.43

"Oro? Hai, Hai, this one knows he must recover, that is why Saito, Sano, Kaoru, Yahiko, 44

and you as well, Miss Megumi should go and look for it," Kenshin starts.45

"Hai!" Yahiko starts46

"..." Saito stares outside.47

"I gotta go too? Well, if Yahiko's going I better look after him and the lil misses here,"48

Sanosuke finishes.49

"You know I would do whatever to help you feel better," Kaoru starts.50

"But I will come back with items first Sir Ken, then I could get my reward,"51

Megumi says with a sly smile.52

"Thank you," Kenshin says with his smile. "Those items are at the Shinrai Temple, the53

monks are very kind but they need a password for you to take the items, find Mikosma,54

he will give you the password," Kenshin finishes.55

"But the last item," Yahiko starts.56

"Hai, I will be better in a few days, I will go to her for it," Kenshin finishes. He57

closes his eyes and rests as they all file out, leaving Doctor Gensai and Ayame and58

Suzume with Kenshin.59

Days Later...60

Kenshin is up and playing with Ayame and Suzume when he notices someone on the roof of 61

the dojo.62

Kenshin hops up to see a man with a jar.63

"You Himura Battousai?" He asks in a gruff voice.64

"Why?" Kenshin asks with his Battousai eyes.65

"Sarani Megoco, sent me here to fetch you, she says she has something for you," He starts.66

"Sarani? Hai, take me to her," Kenshin says after he hopped down and fetched his sword.67

Kenshin arives at an animal kingdom. Outside stood a woman with long black hair and green68

eyes in a white kimono uniform.69

"Ah! Himura! Long time no see, hai?" She asks.70

"Hai. What have you gotten for me?" Kenshin asks.71

"The snake venom, I heard you needed a certain kind and luckily we have it, come with me.72

Opa, Thank you,"73

"Your Welcome," He says as he hops back to the trees.74

"In here we have the specific creatures, needed to create cures and," She stops as she75

sees someone without a uniform on.76

"Hey you!" She shouts as the masked man turns.77

"You filthy bitch!" He shouts as he throws a needle at Sarani, Kenshin catches it to find78

there was nothing in it then he saw the guy making way with equipment.79

Kenshin increases his speed sightly and soon he stares in the man's eyes.80

"B-Battousai?" He asks frightend. "I-I didn't mean it I swear!" He shouts as he takes out81

a needle and shoves it into Kenshin's left shoulder and injects him.82

Kenshin stumbles slightly and takes the needle out of his shoulder and tosses it to the83

ground.84

As Kenshin dashes after him, Sarani picks up the empty tube and reads it in horror. She had85

found her job to be more complicated than before.86

When she looks up she sees Kenshin falling as he grabed the theives shirt. She races to87

Kenshin when she had gotten there the police had come and taken the man. Not any of them88

paid attention to Kenshin's lifeless body.89

As soon as Kenshin recovered he sat up quickly his eyes wide with fear92

causing everyone to turn to him.93

"Ugh..." Kenshin gasps for air.94

"Wh-What happened?" Kenshin asks as he winces at the pain.95

"Kenshin, the tube the masked man did the injection has healed you completly, however96

we where testing with this specific blood of one of our wolves, and what we did97

was fixed it to where it would absorp into anyones DNA messing with theirs, causing98

unknown reactions. We meant to test it on one of the few men going to death sentence.99

Unfortunatley someone didn't want that to happen to Linori Upantga, a criminal who100

killed many and then families," Sarani says as she touches his arm.101

"We, We don't know what to do now, but observe how you normally act to how you act now,102

to see if any thing has changed, hopefully our research for this particular thing103

will have not worked, but we can only wait to find out," Sarani finishes.104

"Hai, this one under stands. Kaoru, would you mind if they observe this one for a few 105

weeks or months?" Kenshin asks.106

"Iie, as long as you are to be better, I will allow it, though, you're going to have107

to fix lunch today!" She shouts.108

"Hai! Uncle Ken! Make some rice balls and fish, Please?" Ayame asks.109

"Uncle Ken, make some rice and fish, please?" Suzume repeats.110

"Hai, I will, but we need to get ingrediants for it, would you two like to come and help?"111

Kenshin asks with a smile.112

"Yes Uncle Ken! Hai!" Ayame and Suzume shout.113

"Well, what are we waiting for?" Kenshin asks still siting in the bed.114

"You, Uncle Ken! You gotta go with us!" Ayame shouts.115

"You, Uncle Ken! You come with us!" Suzume repeats.116

"Hai! You're right! Both of you! Come lets go into the market!" Kenshin declares as he117

stands and latches his sword.118

2 months later...119

Kenshin and his friends wave good-bye to Sarani as the full moon is high.120

Kenshin feels a pain in his shoulder and falls to the ground. As he tries to get up his121

vision is blurred as he feels a sudden change. Kaoru and everyone gathers over him to122

see him growing wolf ears, and teeth, and claws. A sudden rip and a tail grows.123

Kenshin, sweating, tries to maintain consciousness,as he finally gives a howl to the moon.124

Kenshin wakes once more in his room. His body achy, and weary. He opens his eyes to 125

see everyone outside talking. He groans as the talking seemed to have growing louder.126

Suddenly the sound stops. Kaoru slightly opens the door and sees Kenshin staring at her.127

Frightend she shuts it and starts to talk.128

"He, he looks like a wolf-human!" She whispers. Yet Kenshin could hear her clearly.129

"Wolf?" Kenshin asks. He finds his mirror by his bed and looks into it. He stares in dis-130

belief at the creature that looked like a wolf-human. He saw his nails where long and he131

was almost affraid to find what was behind him.132

His eyes widen at the fact that he didn't look much like the skinny warrior, he was more133

buffed and man looking, yet thin.134

"Uncle Ken!" Ayame whisperes as she looks thru the door.135

"Uncle Ken!" Suzume repeats, standing under Ayame.136

"Ayame, Suzume, what are you two doing here?" Kenshin asks.137

"We wanted to see you," Ayame starts.138

"Even though Kaoru said no," Suzume finishes. The two girls enter the room and shut the door139

quickly. Suzume sets the ball down and rolls it to Kenshin. Being weary of his sharper140

nails, he rolls the ball to Ayame. They play for a while when Kaoru walks in.141

"Ayame! Suzume! What are you doing in here? I told you to leave Kenshin alone for now!142

Why didn't you listen?" Kaoru shouts.143

"Kaoru, it was this ones fault, they said you didn't want them in here, but this one didn't144

send them away," Kenshin defends.145

"Kenshin, I didn't want them in here, for a reason." Kaoru starts.146

"A reason? This one would like to know the reason," Kenshin asks.147

"Because, you went on a rampage last night and hacked up half of my dojo!" Kaoru shouts.148

"I Can't risk you doing anything to Ayame and Suzume," She finishes.149

Kenshin's eyes wide in fear. His heart racing and stopping as sweat drips down his face.150

He walks past Kaoru and looks outside to see the dojo partially destroyed.151

"I-I did that?" Kenshin stammers.152

"Hai, I mean Iie, no Kenshin, it wasn't your fault it was the DNA, and," Kaoru starts.153

"I-I don't. I mean, I couldn't of...Could I?" Kenshin asks.154

"You did," Kaoru stares to the ground.155

"Was, was anyone harmed?" Kenshin asks with a hoarse voice.156

"Hai, Yahiko was in there, practicing his lessons," Kaoru answers.157

Immeadiatly Kenshin runs to Yahiko's room and stares at the fact he was in bandages, and158

was unable to move. He slowly opens his eys to see Kenshin, and screams. That was the159

only image he saw before all the ruble had fallen on him.160

"Y-Ya-Yahiko..." Kenshin starts as tears flood his eyes.161

"I-I'm sorry," He whisperes as he races back to his room.162

"K-Kenshin? What-what are you doing?" Kaoru asks as she watches him pack his things.163

"I can't deal with the fact I hurt someone, and knowing that I could do more harm, to my164

friends scares me, I plan on going back to the Rurouni life, and this time, I will be165

unknown in all towns," Kenshin answers as he races off towards the wall his sword at his166

side and his belongings where in a bag over his shoulder.167

"Sanosuke! Go get Kenshin!" Kaoru shouts.168

"Damn it, Kenshin!" Sanosuke shouts as he hops over the fence.169

Kenshin rushes thru the forest until he decided he was far enough, and rested. Sanosuke170

walks around and looks up to see Kenshin resting on the above branch.171

"Kenshin!" Sanosuke shouts.172

"Sano?" Kenshin asks as he looks down to see Sanosuke trying to climb the tree.173

"What, are you doing here?" Kenshin asked puzzled. Sanosuke falls on his ass and stands up.174

"Kaoru wants you to come back to the dojo!" He whisperes.175

"No," Kenshin replies.176

"Whaddya mean no!?!?" Sanosuke asks.177

"This one means He's not going back, not if when something happens this one could hurt 178

his friends," Kenshin answers.179

"But, ya won't hurt anybody!" Sanosuke argues.180

"How do you know this Sano?" Kenshin asks in an uncertain voice.181

"Because I've known you for 2 years Kenshin. I know how you are and I know who you are,182

you can't dump out on friends!" Sanosuke shouts.183

After 3 hours of them arguing...184

"You're right Sano," Kenshin finally agrees.185

"Exactly, now, let's head back to the dojo, everyone should be waiting," Sanosuke says as186

they walk to the dojo thru the forest.187

As they see everyone waving ahead Kenshin notices something, Ayame and Suzume where staring188

at something in the sky. His eyes glide to the sky to see the full moon. Kenshin's heart189

beat increases and he feels a sudden pain as everyone is walking out to meet them. Sanosuke190

goes ahead and notices Kenshin was on his knees. Sanosuke smiles at the fact Yahiko is191

shouting at them all but no one seemed to listen. He crouches and touches Kenshin's192

shoulder. As Kenshin looks at Sanosuke he gos back to scratch him but misses by a hair.193

Kenshin heard Sanosuke shouting for everyone except Saito, and him to go inside.194

Kenshin looks hard at the blury friends and still tries maintaing conscious.195

"Kenshin, fight it! Ya gotta fight the pain!" Kenshin could distinctly hear Sanosuke's196

voice.197

"This-This one is trying Sano...ungh!" Kenshin shouts those words as pain flows thru his 198

body. "Sano, it hurts! The pain is unbelieveable!" Kenshin cries out.199

"I know, but ya gotta hang in there! I guarnatee that you will make it! You are strong200

Kenshin, so fight it!" Sanosuke encourages as Saito lights a cigerete.201

"Himura, fight the damn pain. Shit! It can't be that bad!" Saito barks as Sanosuke turns.202

"You fucking loser!" Sanouske shouts.203

"Shut the Hell up and sit down!" Saito shouts taking his cigarete and touches the204

burning end to Sanosuke's head. Sanosuke falls to the floor rubbing at his burned flesh.205

"Watch," He whisperes to Sanosuke as he still sat on the dirt. They both watched as Kenshin206

stood up properly and slowly gained control.207

"What's wrong Himura? Can't deal with the pain? Hmph! A baby has more will power than208

you!" Saito Shouts. Finally Kenshin's body stopped shuddering and he looked to them both.209

"Thank...you," Kenshin says as he falls exahusted.210

"How did you know?" Sanosuke asks.211

"When you're a cop with a strict officer and wife you learn that there are tons of ways212

other than encouraging," Saito says as he points to Kenshin.213

"What are you waiting for?" Saito asks. Sanosuke looks at him puzzled. Saito stares at214

Sanosuke and then he gets angry.215

"Go and Get him!" Saito shouts as Sanosuke suddenly springs to life. As Saito turns 216

Sanosuke goes to Kenshin to help him.217

"C'mon Kenshin, arm around my neck, I'll help ya, don't worry," Saito heard Sanosuke218

repeat until Kenshin's sharp nails scratch at him.219

"What the hell?" Sanosuke shouts. By the time Saito turned to him, Kenshin was standing on220

his feat.221

"P-Please, H-help, Saito!" Kenshin tries.222

"With what?" Saito asks as his cigarete goes to the ground.223

"G-Get Sano, out of here! Please! You-You have to leave!" Kenshin shouts.224

"Bird head? Kenshin. You can do this!" Saito encourages. Kenshin smiles weakly.225

"No, This one can't. This one wasn't trying to hurt Sano, but my body said diffrent," 226

Kenshin's weak voice was barely heard.227

"H-Hey! I told ya not to call me Bird Head!" Sanosuke shouts.228

"See? You didn't hurt Bird Head, you just scratched him," Saito replies. Kenshin shakes his229

head.230

"No, anyone else gets closer and This one will kill them, my vow would be broken, and 231

my life would be wrecked. Please, just get out of here," Kenshin's voice faded 232

with the wind. And silence was broken from the crickets.233

"Fine. I will do so just once, tomorrow we will take you to the finest in Japan, surely234

he could fix things," Saito finally picks up Sanosuke and sets him in the room everyone235

was in.236

"This one agrees," Kenshin finally turns to the forest.237

The next day Saito, Kenshin, and Sanosuke traveld to the finest doctor in Japan...the thing238

was he was in fact a she.239

"What seems to be the problem?" She asks.240

"A friend, had something happen to him recently," Saito starts.241

"Oh really? Well, there's nothing wrong with you," She says as she stares at Sanosuke.242

"It's not me lady!" Sanosuke shouts.243

"Well, is it him?" She asks as she points to Saito.244

"No! He's not in the room yet!" Sanosuke shouts. They peak in the waiting room to see245

Kenshin playing with the small children.246

"That one?" She asks uncertaintly.247

"The red head, thats him," Saito says as Sanosuke shouts to Kenshin.248

"Hey Kenshin c'mon! She's gonna examine you and stuff!"249

Kenshin gets up and walks to her.250

"Konichiwa, Miss?" Kenshin starts.251

"Aritagwa, you are the friend?" She asks.252

"Well, come on in, sit right there this will only take a moment," She starts.254

"I can conclude one thing your friend's DNA was changed during a certain accident, and the262

only way to at least make him act normal is medication, for right now. Though I am263

uncertain on how his body will react to animal medication!" She says with a gigle.264

"Animal Meds?!?!" Sanosuke starts.265

"Is that all?" Saito asks.266

"Hai! Here you go! Show it to the woman out there!" She says as she hands Kenshin a267

piece of paper.268

"The doctor told This one to give this to you," Kenshin says as he hands the woman 269

"Animal Medication?" She asks after she read it three more times. She takes out her glasses271

and reads it a few more times. Then she looks to Kenshin.272

"Oh God! You're a human animal!" She shouts.273

"Um," Kenshin starts as he flushes.274

"I'm sorry, here you go," She says as she hands him the pills and he gives her the money.275

"I never thought Kenshin would have to take Meds, but Animal Meds! I think I'm going276

crazy!" Sanosuke shouts.277

"Don't worry Sano!" Kenshin smiles. "This one is sure it will wear off soon!" Kenshin278

assures Sanosuke. Sanosuke looks to Kenshin and notices something. He looked weak. 279

They walked out the doors only to find a robber across the street trying to rob 280

the jewelry store. Kenshin runs over and hops to the top as the robber looks back. 281

Kenshin was seen last on the roof he slipped through something. Sanosuke and Saito watch282

as Kenshin confronts him. To Sanosukes worst fear, Kenshin was infact getting weaker.283

"Uh, Saito, Kenshin looks weak," Sanosuke starts.284

"He beat your ass, does that make you weaker?" Saito asks with a smile.285

"No! He is weak! Meaning he can barely stand!" Sanosuke shouts.286

"What?" Saito looks to see Kenshin.287

"Well?" Sanosuke asks.288

"How did you notice before me?" Saito asks.289

"I noticed it in the hospital," Sanosuke admits.290

"YOU WHAT?!?!? YOU FUCKING LOSER! YOU DIDN'T Bother telling me?" Saito asks.291

"Well," Sanosuke asks.292

"C'mon we gotta go help hi," Saito starts.293

"Help who?" Kenshin asks.294

"Erm, yeah, Sanosuke tell him who we gotta go help!" Saito starts.295

"What? Oh um...we gotta go help...Kaoru! Yeah! She needs help rebuilding the dojo,"296

"Miss Kaoru called?" Kenshin asked.298

"Yeah!" Sanosuke agrees. Saito reluctantly shakes his head.299

"Oh she's fine," they both agree.301

"Well, we must tend to the dojo," Kenshin says as he walks off.302

Later that day...303

Kenshin, Saito, and Sanosuke arive at the dojo. Only barely repaired it started to rain as304

the moon started to show its face. Kenshin runs to see what happens as there is commotion 305

at the dojo.306

"Look!" Someone shouts as they point to Kenshin.307

"Oro?" Kenshin looks at the people surprized.308

"Here he is folks! Wolf Man!" The news reporter shouts as her camera crew start shooting309

shots of pictures at Kenshin.310

Kenshin hops out of the circle and notices Kaoru crying.311

Kenshin raced to Kaoru.314

"Miss Kaoru? What's wrong?" Kenshin asks. She bursts out crying.315

"I-I'm so sorry Kenshin!" She cries. Kenshin looks at the crowd.316

"So, this is what you did?" Kenshin asked.317

"No," Kaoru starts. Just like that Kenshin had a metal collar around his neck as it318

continuously beeps, and glows. Kenshin claws at the mans arm enough to make him bleed.319

Kenshin starts in a low growl.320

"The-The Moon!" Someone shouts. Everyone turns to the sky to see the full moon had rose.321

Kenshin howls as he stares at the surrounding people.322

"Everyone get away from him!" a man shouts. Right there a man came running out of breathe323

with a pitch fork.324

"That damned beast! He ate my best horse yesterday! I saw him I did!" the man shouts.325

Everyone moves around as the man charges at Kenshin. Kenshin growls louder and then Ayame326

and Suzume get infront of them.327

"Leave, Uncle Ken alone!" Ayame and Suzume shout.328

"That beast killed my best horse! I will avenge her!" He shouts. But the girls stayed329

put.330

"Move!" He shouts. But the kids refused. Sanosuke stands in front of Kenshin and the girls331

and stares angrily at the man.332

"Move, or I will kill all of you!" The man threatens.333

"Look, you leave them alone and I might not pound ya!" Yahiko shouts his wooden sword in334

his hands. The man glares angrily at the wolf man and then leaves, followed by many other335

farmers.336

1 week later...337

A group of farmers and merchants where in a meeting room with the head officer complaining.338

"I want that wolf man outta here!" one farmer excalimed.339

"Yeah! I don't want none of my animals to be eaten by him!" another cries out.340

"That beast may also go after our crops and gold!" a man's wife shouts as she stands.341

"People, please!" the officer starts. "We've known him for quite some time, have we not?"342

He asks. "Has he not proven to be a trustworthy human?" He continues.343

"Human?!?!" A man in the back row shouts.344

"That man's a monster!" His wife calls out.345

"But people..." he tries.346

"GET HIM OUT!" a man starts soon all the farmers where chanting loudly.347

"Where will he go?" the officer asks.348

"Anywhere but here!" A woman cries out. The officer sighs.349

"I will do what I can," He starts.350

Another week later...351

"Mr. Himura, the town's farmers and merchants have asked that you be removed as a citizen352

of Tokyo. "I am sorry, but if you have any," He starts.353

"Iie, this one shall leave the town greatfully, if it makes the people of Tokyo happy,"354

Kenshin says as he stands.355

"I am sorry once again," the officer stares to the ground.356

The next day...357

Kenshin was up early and he packed quickly. As he was about to leave Kaoru opened the door358

scratching her eyes.359

"Kenshin?" She asks as she stares startled. Kenshin didn't answer.360

"What are you doing up so early?" Kaoru asks. Still no answer. Kenshin places his hand on361

Kaoru's shoulder and raced off into the night.362

"Kenshin!" Kaoru shouts as everyone at the dojo awakes.363

"Hey Kaoru can you shut up? Some of us are trying to...Hey where's Kenshin?" Yahiko asks.364

"He left," She answers.365

"Its probably because of what I did to him," She starts.366

"Whad ya do?" Sanosuke asks. Kaoru and Yahiko look on top of the dojo to see Sanosuke367

with a fish bone in his mouth.368

"The man, yesterday, with the pitchfork, knew that I had gone down there a day or two ago369

to allow the horse to roam but it was shot that day and it nearly hit me. I guess he370

felt like he needed to blame someone, for the death of his horse," Kaoru looks out to where371

she last saw Kenshin.372

"You know the person getting blamed is Kenshin. He's getting weaker, the whole wolf thing373

is driving him crazy and make him weak. He has to take animal meds," Sanosuke stopped374

when he noticed there was something else.375

"I-I asked someone to steal the items," Kaoru admits.376

"What items?" Sanosuke asks.377

"The one that contained the wolf DNA," she replies.378

"Why?" Sanosuke asks angrily.379

"Because I was planning on using it for something," she avoids eye contact.380

"Damn it!" Sanosuke shouts as he hears a man scream. He hops off and races to the voice.381

Thinking quickly Sanosuke tries to recall the voice. What? Was that Kenshin's scream?382

He got there and saw Kenshin slowly getting up with three or four farmers standing over383

him.384

Sano, please help. Sanosuke could here Kenshin's voice and stepped infront of the poor385

wounded Kenshin. The men glare at Kenshin then to Sanosuke.386

"Leave him alone," Sanosuke shouts.387

"We just makin' it leave our village, why do you care?" a farmer asks.388

"It is a man, he is wounded and weak don't you see? He's better than all of you. He389

continues to protect you even in his condtion. Think what has he done the past few years390

of living here, around guys like you?" Sanosuke asks. Kenshin was around to getting up391

but fell weakly. "Look at him!" Sanosuke shouts.392

"What's he doing?," A farmer shouts. As Sanosuke looks back he notices that when they393

spoke Kenshin ate his pill.394

"Kenshin?" Sanosuke asks.395

"Sano," Kenshin tries to talk. Then passes out.396

Kenshin woke being carried over Sanosuke's shoulder when they arrived at the dojo around399

7:00 in the morning. As Sanosuke felt Kenshin move again he set him down and smiled.400

"What happened, Sano?" Kenshin asks.401

"I tought those farmers a lesson. But you're fine and they decided to pitch in, so don't402

be surprised if they appear at the," Sanosuke stops walking and looks at the burning dojo.403

"Sanosuke! This one will check to see if anyone is in there! You make sure everyone is 404

fine!" Kenshin shouts as he races to the dojo.405

Kenshin breaks thru the window and found Kaoru and Yahiko almost licked by the flames.406

He takes Kaoru and gives her to Sanosuke as he grabs Yahiko under his arm. He hops out the407

window to hear Ayume, Suzume, and Dr. Gensai's screams for help. Kenshin follows his ears408

and goes inside the room where they where all held. After helping Gensai out he grabbed409

Ayume and Suzume under arm and let them go outside. One more scream was heard. Though410

he didn't know who's it was he followed it into the bathroom.411

Slowly the flames grew bigger and engulfed the room leaving Kenshin only limited air to412

breathe. He holds his breath as he searches for the last person to find it was a trick.413

The building started to fall. Kenshin drew his reverse blade right when the first part of414

the dojo started to fall. He dodges and quickly shouts his attack.415

"Hiten Mitsurgui Ryuu Dragon Flight!" He hops thru the top of the celing and lands a416

perfect way out on the grass. His knees go to the ground and he breathes fresh air once417

more.418

"Look! Uncle Ken made it out!" Ayume and Suzume shout as they come over to the weak419

Kenshin. Ayume and Suzume hug Kenshin as he coughs out the remainding smoke in his lungs.420

As everyone stands over Kenshin they didn't notice the person getting away until Kenshin421

runs after them. He was quick and only had to pounce to catch him. As instincts where to422

bite his flesh or rip it off the bone Kenshin, starts to shake to show his body no means,423

"Please Sano! Run! If I keep holding him I might do something I don't want to!" Kenshin425
