No one was here yet. But that didn't bother Jazz. She stepped into the old barn and closed the door. The hay smelled fresh and clean. The horses were asleep in their stalls. The door behind her opened again and she whirled around as Valentin's tall bulk figure towered above her. Pain etched in her features then disappeared quickly as determination set in.23
"I was afraid you wouldn't come and I'd have to track you or one of your friends down," he said quietly. Panic flashed up her spine as he came closer to her. She didn't back up or move as her instincts demanded. But instead stayed right where she was. He pressed his hand to her throat and angled her head back. He leaned in and adrenaline rushed through her thickening her blood, setting her pulse into overdrive.45
"Where's Brandon?" he asked politely making conversation. Jazz quickly grabbed at the chance to distract him.67
"He's waiting for me at his house," she replied her breath hitching up as his tongue snaked out and licked her pulse point.89
"And what will he do when you don't show up?"1011
"Um, I-I don't know," God, how she wished Brandon knew where she was. Or that she was in danger. Every one of her nerves were on edge. And she was just about to buckle down or make a run for it. 1213
"You know," he said quietly. "I've always hated my cousin. But I swear when it comes to women - human women - he knows exactly how to pick them. You are the most delectable thing I've ever set eyes on." Wow, nice compliment. Jazz would've rolled her eyes if she wasn't so petrified.1415
"I'm not scared of you," she lied. He kissed her throat and then his lips traveled to the right and up to her ear.1617
"Oh, are you sure about that?" his leg whipped around the back of hers and she went sprawling on the hard dirt. He crawled up on top of her. "I think you so terrified your about to wet yourself." Jazz wanted to hit him. In fact, the urge to punch his face in overrode the horrifying terror that had seized her.1819
"Do you want to find out how afraid I am?" she challenged.2021
"Yes," he replied, relishing in the turn of her tone. Maybe he would get some fun out of this.2223
"Great!" she said. She pulled her arm back and rammed her fist into his hard face. Her knuckles split and hurt. But when she looked at him she smiled. Black blood dripped slowly from his nose. 2425
"You want to take on a vampire, little girl!?" he bellowed.2627
"Sure," Jazz said. "Let's see who wins?" she reared back and slugged him again. His hand shot up and gripped around her throat. 2829
"This is going to be fun," he grinned. The black blood was on his upper lip and it was creeping her out. His snarl was more animal than human as he threw her into the wall. Old wood slipped and broke. Her head ached and she looked up. 3031
Valentin hovered above her. His face illuminated and excited. He looked down on her and smiled. 3233
"Oh, yeah. This is soooo going to be fun." A closed fist came hurtling at Jazz's face. 34

It was good but there were parts I didn't understand.
You've got a good storyline here though
