Silencing the Creator

It was never over. No matter how hard she tried, her love for him could never be broken. She couldn't imagine anyone else. His face his features were so distinct. No person could ever take his place she had for him in her heart. No matter how she tried to erase him out of her mind he could not be forgotton. It was inevitiable, they were meant for eachother. If Only wasn't the only one who thought he was good enough for her. 1

When Jake,my boyfriend moved to town everyone started treating me different. Everybody told me I was crazy,but I knew when you were in love it didn't matter. 2

Ena woke up to her alarm clock again. She through her hair up in a ponytail holder and put on an oversized t-shirt and grey jogging pants before heading down stairs to meat Jake, her boyfriend, outside.3

Her father,Kurt, sat across the little oak table that sat in the kitchen. He glaced up at Ena and said"I made oatmeal, you should eat a bowl before you go to school kid-o."4

She replied," I'd love to but, Jake is waiting for him outside, he's going to walk me to school."5

He started to protest, but Ena rushed out the door to see the only person she felt could make her happy"6

As soon as she walked outside, there Jake stood. He was in a white t-shirt that outlined everyone muscle he had and a dark pair of blue jeans." As soon as I was next to him he grabbed my books from me and we started walking to school. I told him my dad tried to protest the two of us being together again. He just replied" I wish you wouldn't talk about me with him, you know he doesn't like me.", as he held tighter on to my hand. 7

When we got to first hour Jake took his seat in the back of the class as I took mine in front. About half way through first hour I wrote him a note. I asked Kelly, my bestfriend, before Jake arrived to pass on the note." 8

She just rolled her eyes and passed it back to the people behind her to give it to Jake.9

It was just fate we got the same schedule. After first period we went through the day sharing all the same classes and getting all the bad looks from all the other teachers, until the last hour of the day.10

I sat in class waiting for Jake to take his seat next to me. I was already neverous because, he had never been late to class once. He always walked with me from my locker to each class. Thoughts raced through my head of all the bad things that could happen, so I started to do homework which eased my thoughts a little longer. I stared at the class room clock for until I reached the last ten minutes of class. I needed an excuse to go look for him. I raised my hand and asked Mr.Orslack If I could use the bathroom. He replied with a faint nod.11

I opened the door and looked both ways down the deserted hallway, I didn't see anyone, including Jake. I looked down six hallways until I stopped dead in my tacks. In the boys bathroom I heard faint mummurs being exchanged. I didn't hesitate to go in. There, against the bathroom wall was Jake wrapped around another girl. 12

I was hurt, but that didn't triumph and anger flowing through my veins. I pounced on him like a tiger hunting its prey.13

He tried to get me to stop, but I had no control. For those few minutes I lost all control.14

How could he do this to me. I gave up everything for him, my friends and family. I spent every day with him and when we weren't together we were on the phone at all hours of the night. He was my life and I was his. We were suppose to be together for the rest of our lives.15

A student must have heard the uproar in the boys bathroom because minutes after I assaulted Jake, Mr. Davis, my principal, was in the bathroom.16

I was in shock all I could here was noises around me. There I laid on the mens bathroom floor next to Jake. He must have got a few good hits on me,because I was just as bad as him.17

I made out Principal Davis saying "Who did this too you?" I told him Jake Glassman, but that I had attacked him first, so it was my fault."18

The principal who was now accompanied by the school nurse said "I think shes still pretty out of it,there is no Jake Glassman at our school."19

The nurse replied"We should get her in to my office."20

I was furious, they carried me there leaving Jake alone of the floor. I told them repeatedly to go get him,but it was no use that acted as if he didn't matter. I gave up, I'd help him as soon as I wasn't dependent on the nurses aid. 21

I must have dozed off for a long time laying the nurses office. When I woke up the clock said 4 o'clock. School had already been let out,all I could hear was the nurse talking to my dad out in the lobby on the phone. 22

I figured she must have helped Jake, but I figured it didn't matter anymore, we'd never be okay. He had betrayed me. 23

I heard the nurse talking to my dad about Jake. I heard her say "Shes okay, she just hit her head... No she'll be fine.. We don't know who did it yet... She did say something about a Jake Glassmen.. Made him up...Oh my... We'll hurt injuries did look self inflicted..."24

I was getting ready to protest to the nurses assumptions in the lobby, until I heard a voice say "Ena...".25

Goosebumbs ran down my body. I turned around and there he was. Jake was sitting in a chair across the room. He had a bandage on his head and a few scratches on his neck. I felt bad, but I couldn't apologize. He was the one who hurt me beyond repair.26

He stood up and started walking toward me. Every step he took toward me, I took another step back. Eventually I was cornered into a wall. 27

He stood with his body pressed against my tightly. He said "You know it was a mistake, I didn't like that girl. I love you." 28

I refused to accept his apology, I whispered "What the hell is going on." "No body sees you the way I do." "Everyone thinks I'm making you up."29

Jake replied,"You stupid girl. I told you not to tell anyone about me, but you did. You know I was good, I was perfect. We could have been perfect, but you had to run your mouth. This was about you and I. No one else had to know. We could have lasted for ever if you didn't break the only promise I ask of you,secresy. No one else can see me, infact only you can Ena."30

I stared at him, even battered up he was undeniably beautiful. I replied what do you mean I am the only one who can see you. You mean your like a.. ghost."31

He laughed and said" No.. have you ever wonder whats truth or if there is truth in anything? Or whats the line between dreams and reality? Sometimes you have to think out side of the box to be in it my sweet Ena. Have you wonder if the world is just a creation of your own? What if everything you think you've lived is just inside of your head."32

Ena started to realize that all the bad looks that she had got from people. All the doubts in Jake were not of him as person, but of him as a person all together. He was that made believe friend you played with until you were five. He was that thought in the back of your head at all times,only come to life. People had every right to think she was crazy. She was starting to believe it her self.33

She replied" If your made up. Then I want you to go. Leave and never come back your erased from my mind."34

Jake replied" If only it was that easy to get rid of me. Infact it's almost impossible. You would have to mean that you want me go, but the truth is you don't. Your fell in love with a fictional character. Even though you say you want me gone. You know in your head you really don't want me gone, otherwise I still wouldn't be here."35

Ena felt as if she was in a nightmare she couldn't wake up from. She tried to close her eyes and think of something else. But Jake consumed her, he took over like a monster conquering all. She realized she made up Jake making out in the bathroom with another girl, because in reality there was no such thing as a perfect boyfriend. 36

Ena realized the only way to destroy Jake was to destroy herself. She could not live A life this way. Delusional and Insane. She knew that nurse would be in soon, so she had to think of her feet.37

She ran through Jake in to the nurses bathroom. She looked in the mirror and saw her face and Jakes for the first time.38

She grabbed a small knife for cutting band aids in a drawer next to the sink. She slowly cut through her arm. She sobbed,for she new this was the only way to forget him and forget life. Soon she felt dizzy and fainted.39

The nurse found Ena in the bathroom. Cold with no pulse. On the mirror with blood was wrote. I killed the monster, because it was killing me."40
