The Once upon a time, a little princess story 1

Part 1.3

Once upon a time, there was a little princess who lived with her parents in a castle in a country you probably have never heard of,called United Sylvania.4

She was very happy living their castle with her parents, the King and the Queen. She had only to ask for something and it was granted,if at all possible, because her parents were very devoted to her.She had the best clothes, the best toys and lots of love as well.Who could wish for more?5

One day,the princess was very bored. She was tired of all of her toys, books and pets. She wanted something more to do.Something new.She was so bored that she went into the surrounding forest to play. She played there for sometime. After awhile, she sat down under a tree to rest and to cool off.6

Pretty soon, she heard a voice speaking to her-an unfamiliar voice. She looked around to see where it was coming from.It was coming from the tree she had sat under."How weird", she thought."A tree that speaks out loud! Can it really be the tree speaking?"She asked herself.7

There it came once more. The voice said,"Hello there! What is your name?"8

"My name is princess Celine' ",said the little princess."What is your name? "The tree answered her,"My name is ...well,I don't have a name.I never knew it,anyway." "Oh,my,"said the princess,"let's give you a name!"9

"What shall we call me?"The tree asked."You look like your name should be Geoffry",said the little princess Celine'.That's what we should call you."That is fine,"said the tree. So,the tree received his new name,Geoffry.10

"How did you come here,?"the tree asked Celine'.She said that she was bored and came into the forest to play.Celine asked Geoffry, the tree how he liked living in the forest."Well,"said the tree,"it is fine.I hear lots of gossip and I meet loads of people here. You should get home before suppertime, because around suppertime a giant comes here to find food.He has been overheard boasting that he loves to eat little princesses11

most of all.12

"Gee!"said Celine',"I wonder what time it is?"Just then they heard the giants footsteps pounding into the forrest."Oh!Oh!"Where can I hide?"asked Celine'. ""Hide inside of my trunk! Here, you can get inside by this huge hole in my side!"Said Geoffry. So Celine' climbed into the trees trunk through this whole and hid from the giant.13

Once inside, she saw a pathway.Curious, the little princess started walking through the tree trunks inside pathway. She found several pathways branching from that pathway, leading to who knows where."Which pathway shall I take?" She thought to herself. There was one pathway that stood out from all of the rest. It was golden and studded with jewels of all sorts. She began walking down that pathway.14

As she walked, she saw all kinds of wonders. There were many doors, hallways and staircases. There were huge statues and works of art. "What a great place, "thought Celine'. "I am not bored now!"15

Finally, she came to a door that was marked with a big sign. The sign said,"Only for the brave of heart." Celine' whispered these words over and over in her mind, wondering what their true meaning was."Am I brave of heart?" She wondered. "Let's find out! "She said to herself, as she opened the door.16

Inside, there were toys of many different kinds that even had never seen before. There were many rooms there, as well. She began to go from room to room,to explore them.17

In one of the rooms, she found hidd en treasure in a huge chest of pure gold.In the chest was also a map."I wonder where this map is to?"She wondered out loud to herself.18

She tucked the map into her pocket and went on to explore more rooms.19

She soon came into a room with a sign marked,"Only enter here if you are very curious."Well,"She said to herself, "I AM very curious!" So, she went inside.20

Inside was a little boy who was crying and holding onto a blanket. "Why are you crying?" Celine' asked the little boy. "I am crying," said the little boy, "because I am lost in here! I want to go home, to see my parents! Will you help me?" The little boy looked so sad and urgent that Celine said she would help him, even though she wasn't sure how to find her own way home.21

Walking with his tiny hand held in hers, Celine' felt rather motherish toward this tiny boy. "How old are you ?" Celine'asked him. "I don't know." Replied the little boy, who looked to be about three years of age. "What do you mean? How can you not know your own age?" She replied to him. "I just don't know. I have lived in this tree all of my life- I think. There is a lady who takes care of me sometimes, but often,I am here alone. She said that I was left in the tree by a young lady." 22

"Oh, then you don't even know your parents?" Celine' asked him. "No,I don't think I have parents, whatever a parent is. If I had parents, I think I'd understand what a parent is." "I thought you said that you had parents," Celine' retorted to him, in an annoyed tone of voice.23

At that, the little boy started crying his heart out. "I said I had parents," said the little boy, "so that you'd think I was a NORMAL little boy! I always wanted to be normal, like some of the others."24

"Others? What others?" said Celine". "There are other children in the tree trunk,"said the little boy."Oh,"said Celine'.25

As they continued walking, Celine'thought about this experience. Maybe this little boy could come home with her and be her brother! What a great idea. Then she would never be bored,or lonely again. "Would you like to come home with me and be my little brother?" She asked him. "Oh,why--yes!Yes,I would love that!"The little boy exclaimed to her. "Well,"said Celine', "we will have to name you! It seems like, since I came to this forest,I keep having to name names. First, for the tree and now for you!"26

That was only a small part of the problem. How would she find her way back home? Would the map help her find the way?27

Rest of story continued at a later time. 28

I love the beginning. I actually read the [continued] portion first, and realized I must be starting in the middle, so I came back to find this.

I is a great beginning. I really hope you continue developing it. It sounds like a great story developing.

Enchanting little tale and I agree with Hidden Treasures that it was a terrific job done here. Though I do have one suggestion as it's a children's story. The word 'Unitedsylvania' was difficult for me to pronounce and just think if this were a younger chiled might prove the same. Loved the story very much though. Hope to read more later.

    Good Job!!!

About one hundred pop ups must have decked the screen while I was trying to read this. But do you know that not one strayed my attention away from this cleverly written story of yours??? Virginia, you did an awesome job with writing this!!! I was very much captivated by the fantastic details that you so wonderfully created. I loved it! I'm going to read this to my little sister tonight, for her bed time story. I already know that she's going to enjoy this

    Excellent work!!!
