"Where did I go wrong...?" Muttered the girl, picking a daisy up from the garden. 1
Her mind clouded itself with thoughts, every little thing reminded her of her mistakes. Did she try all too hard...? Could it be that she was so desperate for companionship that she had become what annoyed her most?2
Maybe she was too clingy, and maybe she was a bit sensitive. That all didn't matter. 3
She brushed her raven hair behind her ears, staring into the daisy. 4
'I know I've did wrong. I know I've been annoying. I know that I'm too nice, then I'm too mean. Maybe I'm too dramatic... But do I really deserve this? I suppose I do. For all the rights and wrongs in my life, this must be my punishment.' 5
Cade ran her hand across the tree trunk, and stared up at the clouds in the sky. 6
She could make out a unicorn, a bird, and even an airplane. A slight smile fell across Cade's face. The shapes in clouds left her a sense of hope. It gave her something to look forward too. 7
Cade's back slide down the tree-trunk and she now found herself in a sitting position. Her hands laid holding each other on the top of her lap. 8
These weeks, these months, and these days... They've been hard on her. 9
Cade felt as if she got worse and worse with each passing moment. Each time something happened to her, she was closer to be unrepairable. 10
It all started with her friend's death. That had devastated her. The one person she had never expected to leave her had passed on to another world. She cried for days. Then, she decided to talk to a new group of people. And well, they just ended up causing her more problems then she wanted to deal with.11
And she laid all those problems on top of her big brother, and her favorite little emo kid. For that, she felt horrible.12
Cade brushed through her hair with her fingers, and smiled up at the clouds. All things considered, no matter how shitty she was feeling, she did have an okay life. She had to admit that.13
Both her parents were living. She had friends, maybe not that many, but she had a good few. She wasn't on the streets. She had food on the table, and /apparently/ a good personality. There was no room to complain. 14
Yet, pain still hid in the bottom of her stomach. Because she knew she wouldn't be accepted for long. She knew that her family would leave her soon enough.15
Because she was gay.16
And they just weren't going to accept that.17
"...I'm sorry, Father..."
