Untittled (Introduction)

Introduction1

Have you ever noticed how teenagers defy their parents? And how parents constantly tell their children that they have their best interests at heart? Teens constantly sneaking out to party while parents hack into email accounts and listen in on phone conversations to find out what their kids are doing… Don’t any of you find that bothersome in the least?2

I do.  Parents should learn to trust their children, and teens should become worthy of having their parents’ trust by obeying the rules set down for their protection.  Yet, as it has been since the beginning of our time, there’s still lying and stealing between parents and teenagers.  3

I was that way, once.  Lying to my parents and disobeying their rules while they went through my things and found where I was going on the internet.  I never intended for things to get out of hand between us… I just wanted freedom in my life, just like any other teen.  I believed that I was old enough to know what was good for me and what wasn’t.  I thought that my parents didn’t understand, but they did… they did understand more than I’d care to know…4

Author notes

Only the beginning to a story I'm working on, which is baised on my personal life and experiences.  I'm changing the names, but it will generally be my story about a time in my life when I was very confuzzled, and I THINK I might post more at a later date...

You're a great writer Sherri. I really won't be surprized if you write a world read book someday. And I'm stuck writing my half-way poems. You're awesome Sherri. Later days.
